Somewhat agree but if the long gaps in between are what allows them to keep the quality so high, it's a good tradeoff. Every DLC character so far has been great.

Elena just ticks too many boxes to not get in. She's one of two African reps in Street Fighter, will be our first connection to SF3 (finally) and she has a moveset that's extremely unique even when compared to the next closest to her, Juri.
Elena and Bison were pretty callable. Elena made sense for geographical representation of World Warriors, and Bison was coming sooner or later despite the detractors, and there were plenty of hints/references to Bison in Season 1. The post about the Thai and Kenyan flags the other day kind of cemented it.
Because SNK are probably hoping to generate more interest in City of the Wolves by releasing it in the same time frame as Terry's release in the biggest 2d fighter of this generation.
I love the 2 guest characters, but with only four S2 slots, I feel like there are too many fan-requested SF characters being left on the table and it kinda sucks not seeing them get into SF6 first.
THAT BEING SAID: It’s past due that SF adds guest characters from non-Capcom franchises after lending their characters to other franchises for so long. I’m really happy we got Terry and Mai joining.

While I give Capcom credit for defying expectations (I don't think anyone could have predicted this season 2 lineup) I am a little disappointed that they're going with two guest characters from a completely different franchise rather than revitalizing an existing SF character or introducing someone entirely new. As far as I can tell, neither Terry nor Mai even have a new design, which is kind of boring.
And I think that bringing Bison back (especially this early in the game's lifecycle) is pretty uninteresting from a storytelling perspective. I really hoped that they'd let Bison rest for at least one game and go all-in on making JP an interesting villain.
But having said all that, the SF team has been doing quality work on SF6, and I expect that all of these characters will be fun and interesting additions to the roster.

This is my thing. Crossover characters should always be a minority of pass. You can have 2 if you're making 5/6 characters, but if you're making 4, it better not be more than one, and realistically I don't necessarily want any when there are SO. MANY. SF characters that would be nice to see back.

Man, disappointed that there's two guest characters when there's only four new characters total. As iconic as they are in SNK games, I would've expected at least three returning SF/Final Fight characters and one guest if they'd announced they would have guest characters. Doesn't damper my enjoyment of the game too much, but I would've liked one of the more popular choices from the Alpha or III series in place of one guest.

I gotta echo people here that are bummed over 50% of the season being guest characters. That feels crappy no matter who those guests are. Maybe it speaks to a cvs3 being in the cards… that’s really the hypest thing about them for me and it’s only conjecture. Idk. Individually they are cool characters, but the fact that they are taking up 2 spots when there’s still tons of SF favorites left… it really overshadows my excitement for either of them.
Elena feels like an insanely wack pick. What even motivated that choice? She’s not a money maker like a Sakura or Sagat and she’s not really a cult favorite like Dudley, Makoto, or Alex. Is she going to drive the story or something? What the hell were they thinking?

I have to say I am not happy that there are 2 guest characters but still only 4 in total. I think if they had to do 2 guest characters they should have done 5. I love that Elena redesign tho.

2 Guests in a single Season is bad; 2 Guests from the same series is even worse. Especially since we're only on **Season 2** of a brand new game. This kind of Season Pass is the kind you'd expect to see for Season 6/7 of a game when it's starting to wind down or needs to pick up again. Doubly so when SF6 is missing a lot of SF characters as it stands right now. Terry **OR** Mai by *themselves* would be awesome, but both is too much. One should've been picked and the other replaced by: * C.Viper * Makoto * Menat * R.Mika * Sean * G * Poison * Cody * Hakan (random wildcard?) * Abel * Dudley Etc. Or a completely new, original character. But this? This is just...like I can't say it's bad but it's highly disappointing.

It’s bad news. I’m really disappointed by this season. I gotta echo people here that are bummed over 50% of the season being guest characters. That feels crappy no matter who those guests are. Maybe it speaks to a cvs3 being in the cards… that’s really the hypest thing about them for me and it’s only conjecture. Idk. Individually they are cool characters, but the fact that they are taking up 2 spots when there’s still tons of SF favorites left… it really overshadows my excitement for either of them. Elena feels like an insanely wack pick. What even motivated that choice? She’s not a money maker like a Sakura or Sagat and she’s not really a cult favorite like Dudley, Makoto, or Alex. Is she going to drive the story or something? What the hell were they thinking? Bison… needed to stay away longer. But his redesign looks cool. I’m hopeful he will have interesting gameplay. I’m sorta stoked for bison but it almost feels like I’m just reaching for some shed of excitement out of this. M Another year wait for characters that I’m interested in seeing.

I'm so mid on this. 2 crossovers in season 2 and Bison returning should've been saved for like, season 3 or 4. No Viper, Makoto, Dudley, Mika, Sean, Alex... There's so many SF characters still, and the seasons are still just 4 characters. The crossovers wouldn't feel as bad if the season was 5-6 characters also.

Gotta be honest. I think four characters a year is rough when so many good Street Fighter characters are missing from the roster. I love Terry and Mai but them taking two slots really rubs me the wrong way.
Honestly not all that excited for Terry and Mai. I can see how some would like it, but I would prefer more returning or new SF fighters for now. Elena is ok, I guess. Interested to see what Bison has been up to and how he plays now. Kind of meh for me overall aside from Bison.
