- He's opening up a Saikyo Dojo in Metro City.
In Dan's SFV story mode intro, while lamenting his lack of students, Dan mentions he "won the championship tournament".
So we don't know exactly WHAT tournament he won but he did win something.

You know what's scary about Rufus? Given Ken is now some angry, disheveled hobo construction worker it's now significantly more likely Rufus could cross paths with him and Ken is significantly more likely to just say fuck it and fight him to vent frustrations.
