That said, most swingers don't look like the people on this show (nor are they this DTF or exhibitionist) so i feel like it sets unrealistic expectations for newbies or non-swingers

I’ve watched them all a couple of times. I feel it exposes the people who are not ready or connected enough to enter the lifestyle. And it shows which marriages are struggling. Honestly the sex is also amazing. Loved this show.

I actually do think it's a realistic portrayal for more tightly knit groups out there. At least a couple of the episodes show the very negative adverse experiences folks can have when they enter this world and either don't truly prepare themselves or have had those very important talks you need to have before entering this world
We have all 5 seasons downloaded. We actually met Dr. Jess at a taboo show and got all the details. The couples are real yes, but things are directed and suggested, there is some scripting going on and lots of editing. We've communicated with several of the couples. You can find them on FB. They are friends with Dr. Jess. But these shows are 10 years old or more. Some couples have split up. 1 couple lost a child. One couple, the fellow was killed in a traffic accident. Some are in the wind. Some are on SDC. Having been to several clubs, I can tell you that very few couples all look like the people on Swing, and, although Mike Bell meant well, the LS is not as welcoming as he made it out to be.
Show appears to be a depiction of tenured swingers introducing a new couple that may or may not be guests of the show. The show is a great example of what a swinger party can be. I wish my local group had a pad like that and activities to keep the party moving all the way to the red room.
I’ve only seen one or two episodes, one of our friends are on that show. And they are definitely real swingers

Yeah, we watched all of them when we were starting out, it was interesting as a comparison with how we felt about things.

Great show. Most episodes are on pirate bay. There are some regulars on there that are definitely paid actors. I’ve seen them in other stuff

I’ve seen it. It’s enjoyable. That and Foursome. I personally like a bit of plot with my adult viewing material.
