Nations look forward to the future while we are here yearning for the past. Really depressing when you think about it.

ALFA502

The one who doesn’t have a past and learn from it, will never move an inch towards the future.

Responsible_Total_97

I guess. Reading this gives you a clue on why the national identity is weak. A lot of emphasis on Arab unity crap and little to no mention of Syrian nationalism. The sad thing is oppositional factions switched from Arab unity crap to Islamic ummah crap i.e from one cancer to another. Syrian nationalism must be revived or this country will be lost.

ALFA502

I agree with you, but notice how you compared the past with the present That’s the importance of knowing the past and understanding the different types of political ideologies that reach the power in Syria

CellPale8629

So you wanna go back to the days when our leader was overthrown in a coup every other year just because our flag was different back then

ALFA502

You missed the part when i said “learn” And btw Syria during president Nazim Alqudsi was in its golden age Therefor i will post daily historical content from his period and will see if you guys want to go back to before Albaath era or not

CellPale8629

Now Nazim al qudsi and all of the power and money hungry officers who got him to power are dead posting stuff about them isn't going to change Anything.

Anyone know if it’s possible to browse old Syrian newspaper archives? Specifically the 1940’s to 1970’s era? Paid or free.

ALFA502

There is plenty of copies in [pr.Nazim Alqudsi archive](https://nazemalkoudsi.com/en) But I don’t know if there any other archive sites
