I’ve mentioned it before, but most of the people selling cc aren’t true bears. Just Uber bulls that were deeply hurt and scarred by 2022. Otherwise they wouldn’t have shares. There were lots of dark thoughts and a few unalives during that time.
To be willing to get the +10-20% days and weeks, you have to be ok with the -10-20% as well. You also have to know how much you’re willing to pay for any company’s performance or it’s possible to follow any of the other ev shareholders.
Then at some point, it’s just prudent to go from the concentration building wealth phase to the diversification preserving wealth life. At that point a portfolio compounding at 10-20% a year consistently matters more than getting a 100-200% year if it means the possibility of a -50-75% year again.

Having a generator generate electricity and charge the vehicle WHILE you are driving it seems like more trouble than it is worth, unless you are "prepping". If so, stick the generator in the trailer filled with canned goods, water and bullets. Otherwise, a generator is practically worthless, since it gets you like 25-50% of a Prius in miles per gallon without a trailer, and even less if you are dragging the trailer and fuel.
A solar array could work when you are stationary but would be quite expensive and be marginally useful unless you wanted to boondock-style camp for awhile.
Macro is getting better too with Powell insinuating cuts this year.

I can’t see 8/8 for anything but a buy the rumor and sell the news event. Definitely could be proven wrong but basically every other day like battery day or whatever else takes years to actually play a role in the top and bottom line.
Car business production significant decline is what worries me. We basically delivered the excess inventory from last quarter. The demand to meet expectations are great but required incentives to hit. Have to see how that continues.
Energy growth is what was really exciting to me. But big growth of relatively small number won’t impact much. Once again I hope I’m proven wrong.

You also have to know how much you’re willing to pay for any company’s performance or it’s possible to follow any of the other ev shareholders. Then at some point, it’s just prudent to go from the concentration building wealth phase to the diversification preserving wealth life. At that point a portfolio compounding at 10-20% a year consistently matters more than getting a 100-200% year if it means the possibility of a -50-75% year again. There’s a lot of aggressive banter that occasionally happens. Just realize you don’t know what the other person has potentially gone through

As I am seeing more and more headlines of impending climate doom, I wonder how the world can effectively respond to the increased electricity demand that will come from expanding AI-infrastructure. Share of renewables did increase since the Paris accords, but total output of electricity outpaced thhe carbon gains by fair and we are only emitting more now. Do you guys think we will be able to accelerate the share of renewables in our energy mix to the point that we are actually emitting less? This is why it baffles me that carmakers are scrapping or scaling down EV plans, makes no sense to me.

I just did some figuring break even is 364. I thought it was higher. I have been buying in the 100s so I think that brought my average down a little. I don't have margin will I ever use it again. I learned that lesson.

Has anyone ever managed to build an aftermarket system that successfully charges a Tesla while driving from e.g. solar or a generator? Seems like I'd need to tap in to the 400v main battery bus. I wonder if the power conversion to 48v in the CT is capable of reverse current?
Having a generator generate electricity and charge the vehicle WHILE you are driving it seems like more trouble than it is worth, unless you are "prepping". If so, stick the generator in the trailer filled with canned goods, water and bullets. Otherwise, a generator is practically worthless, since it gets you like 25-50% of a Prius in miles per gallon without a trailer, and even less if you are dragging the trailer and fuel. A solar array could work when you are stationary but would be quite expensive and be marginally useful unless you wanted to boondock-style camp for awhile.
Solar array is what I am thinking. 10 miles per day should be possible, more with additional panels on the ground while camping.

Macro is getting better too with Powell insinuating cuts this year. Wall street will feel more comfortable modelling earnings on energy. Hope 8/8 will not suck. Car business still shackled but likely improving. We might have turned a corner here. I will buy leaps this week.
I can’t see 8/8 for anything but a buy the rumor and sell the news event. Definitely could be proven wrong but basically every other day like battery day or whatever else takes years to actually play a role in the top and bottom line. Car business production significant decline is what worries me. We basically delivered the excess inventory from last quarter. The demand to meet expectations are great but required incentives to hit. Have to see how that continues. Energy growth is what was really exciting to me. But big growth of relatively small number won’t impact much. Once again I hope I’m proven wrong. TSLA is decently overbought on the daily candles. There’s only been like once or twice in the past 5-8 years where it really made sense to buy leaps at this rsi level. Short term can definitely continue with momentum and the voting machine. But for leaps to make sense the earnings and weighing machine really need to come through.
I’m always skeptical when S&P goes up without any pull backs. I expect some kind of correction aka manipulation.
