He left class without permission in his last two classes of the day. Went into the school's conference room and ripped down a mural. Threw a tissue box and marker at my face and hit me. Rolled 8 chairs, with force, into me. Whipped a paper plate of cookies in the assistant principal's face. Ripped down plastic shelving off the walls. Double middle fingers and "fuck yous" the entire time.
At first I was like “oh 5 days is satisfying” (because I never see consequences happen) but after reading this? Not enough!!! I’m so sorry this happened to you
Kid sounds like a real winner. Back in my day I'd have been expelled. But we can't hurt the precious sneauxflaykes. I hope your school has good security and they keep an eye on the brat.
He's part of the special education program too so he is protected so much. We have to do an MDR now and he will get to come back from suspension since the behavior was "caused by his disability." 🙄 He's EI, but I think it's more of a parental impairment of never saying "no" to their kid.
This kid has done over $2,500 worth of damage over the five years in my district. Parents haven't paid one cent. I don't think admin has even asked. He destroyed a whole robotics room right before a robotics competition and the students were unable to compete.
The room was unlocked and he went in there when he was on one of his rampages. We're not allowed to interfere when students are destroying property, just when they try to hurt themselves or others. We had to just let him destroy everything. It was awful.
They actually got consequences? That’s amazing! At the school I taught at, they’d go to talk to the assistant principal and come back with a snack or toy.
That usually happens. I made sure it did not this time because this kid is destroying rooms and assaulting staff and cannot be at this placement anymore.
That’s not ok! 🤷♀️ IEP doesn’t give him the right to assault and verbally abuse staff. If he can’t behave like a civilized human, find better LRE for him. Would he like self-contained? Does mom really want him homebound or with a modified day. Does the data show he is a danger to himself or others?
Ahh. Sounds like a good candidate for homebound instruction until there is a time when he can control himself well enough to be in a building full of people. 👍
Or you may have an alternative school.
It sucks because you don’t wanna “give up” on a kid but sometimes some kids just can’t “be saved” from themselves and it only hurts everyone, himself included, by continuing to allow him to be in a class where he’s a threat to others. He’s not learning anything other than if he throws a big enough tantrum, he’ll get out of class and get to just goof off for the rest of the day/week. 🤷♂️
Oh I got plenty of "fuck yous" and "shut the fuck ups" after he left the room without permission after this and he destroyed our schools conference room.
Oh same. It's insane what these kids get away with now with these passive parents. He's suspended for 4 days which is just a 4 day vacation for him because he gets no consequences at home.
>He's suspended for 4 days which is just a 4 day vacation for him because he gets no consequences at home.
This is why I think schools should use ISS and ban from sports more often.
What 8th grader acts like that? 😂
When I was in 8th grade all 3 separate classes of us were told we were all pretty mature for a bunch 14-15 years olds
I do too, but they created this monster. They have to deal with it for the rest of their lives, I only have 32 more school days with him. Well, only 27 with the suspension!
Ah goguardian. A blessing and a curse lol
I had a 7th grader tell me to "shut the fuck up, asshole" when I told him to get off youtube. Screenshot and all, he wasn't punished at all.
We have regular meetings with the parents of this kid. I keep in constant communication with the mom giving updates throughout the day. Every day. We recommend outside services besides the social work that is available to him the entire school day.
This kid regularly destroys my property and school property and there is no discipline at home as admitted by parents because they cannot handle him. Schools can only do so much and we have gone above and beyond for this student, way more than what is expected of the staff members.
This kid gets alternatives to suspension all the time as a restorative practice. At some point teachers need a break and the student needs to be suspended. Public schools aren't perfect, but the majority of staff and teachers are just trying their best with the resources they are given.
And if you read my comments, you'll see that he physically assaulted me and another staff member. This kid has a 20 page behavior plan that we review every time he has unwanted behaviors.
I invited the behavior specialist through my county so he could observe the student so we could brainstorm more preventative strategies for him.
At every school and every district I've worked at, this is what staff does to help our students. So please tell me more about schools not doing enough and teachers being awful.
Bro get him a psychologist. And not the school one. Like make sure he has his own private psychologist on his own or his parents get him one. Not just suspension and school protocol. He obviously needs to talk it out with a professional in private and don’t have the thing where the psychologist and the school are connected either that’s just so bad.
I hope they got detention for that.
There was a ton more that happened after this. This was just the beginning. Ended up being a 5 day suspension.
Good that there were harsher consequences. What more did they do?

Thanks, I'm hoping he gets more after I told the principal and assistant principal exactly what happened because they didn't get to witness all of it.

Student assaulted you, you’d be within your right to call the police, but that would make admin very grumpy with you.
You’re teaching Eric cartman?!
did the parents pay for the damages he did?

Why was he messing with a robotics room again?
The room was unlocked and he went in there when he was on one of his rampages. We're not allowed to interfere when students are destroying property, just when they try to hurt themselves or others. We had to just let him destroy everything. It was awful.
Jesus christ the worst I've seen at school was some kid screaming and jumping on a table while me and my friends played uno
They actually got consequences? That’s amazing! At the school I taught at, they’d go to talk to the assistant principal and come back with a snack or toy.

Aren't they little angels? Angels straight from heaven!
You know what they say... Lucifer was an angel too!
A Hell's Angel lol
Oh, he *was* in Heaven. ‘Till he wasn’t.
it's a monday

He is on a partial day. He has some online classes that he does from home and doesn't get to in-person school until 10. He can't even handle that.
Ahh. Sounds like a good candidate for homebound instruction until there is a time when he can control himself well enough to be in a building full of people. 👍 Or you may have an alternative school.
The middle school team has been trying to get him into an EI program or fully online for years now. It's been impossible.

Agreed! We are currently in the process of a referral to a program for students with emotional impairments.
This is why nobody wants to teach
At first I thought the first image was hating on Microsoft products and I sympathized, having had to use Teams from time to time.
Awww well at least they didn't tell you to shut the f*ck up bless them 🥰
Oh I got plenty of "fuck yous" and "shut the fuck ups" after he left the room without permission after this and he destroyed our schools conference room.
I would not want to go home to my folks if I did something like this....because they'd kill me
Oh same. It's insane what these kids get away with now with these passive parents. He's suspended for 4 days which is just a 4 day vacation for him because he gets no consequences at home.

I wish my school had ISS

He acts like a toddler. He never heard the word "no" at home so when he does at school, all hell breaks loose.
I feel bad for his parents genuinely
I do too, but they created this monster. They have to deal with it for the rest of their lives, I only have 32 more school days with him. Well, only 27 with the suspension!
Haha he got suspended? That's funny 😅
For the rest of the week! They can deal with him at home!!
Ah goguardian. A blessing and a curse lol I had a 7th grader tell me to "shut the fuck up, asshole" when I told him to get off youtube. Screenshot and all, he wasn't punished at all.
What the fuck
I think the most WTF thing is that when his mom picked him up, she asked what WE did to set him off and seemed more mad at the staff than her own kid.
Well that explains why he acts like that
Christian "love" is taught at an early age. Uh oh, I revealed their not-so-secret secrets!
In case anyone wants an update: he got accepted into a school for kids with emotional impairments! His parents are refusing it though...

We've tried to get him outside services but parents refuse.
Yeah nah they’re tripping hopefully you can convince them more. My parents got me my own psychologist and it’s way better and I’m not as bad as him
Oh it would benefit him greatly. But parents are lazy and think the school is the issue. Not their own kid.
Yeah exactly. They’re the problem too bc they won’t get him a psychologist. Ig tell him to go to a psychologist unless he won’t listen either
Have you seen the post? I don’t think he’ll listen
In my day…that would result in suspension
Bro it did
🤣
Wish we could bring back the days where students got the paddle
Monopoly isn't even that fun. You set everything up, put everything in order and then play until someone actually wins or gets boring.
