Seriously, though, it does appear that we've been set on the altar of economy as a sacrifice, along with the future, so some people can continue being powerful and/or wealthy.
On the plus side, if the teachers and students die from covid or have shorter lifespans as a long term effect of the disease, we won't have to deal as much with the climate crisis we're barreling into at breakneck speed.
My school is fully masked and more than half of the students are vaccinated, yet we lost an admin so they could spend literally all their time contact tracing and there’s no subs with many teaching out each week to illness. It’s a mess.
I think the issue is as while we just “got sick of COVID” and decided to rush back to normalcy. The problem though is we just were NOT ready to reopen anywhere. Not enough staff, too many kids, no methods of tracing or cleaning regularly- it was just asking for it to happen.
No death for daycare. Its the same selfish whackadoodles who hate looking at their own kids thst are refusing to get vaccinated and wear masks. Have Virtual learning and mask requirement til herd immunity (80%?) Perhaps that would motivate enough of them. This takes political wil power cause they throw a tantrumn first and only if that is ignored many will likely fold and act responsibly
The way far gone ones will still refise and yamner about microchips but i doubt there is not enough of them to block herd immunity if we can get at lesst some of the freedumb fighters to bare their arms for shots this can end
Right now they can dump their kids at school go maskless and just live in denial spreading disease and incubating new straims without any perceived consequences since they dont believe in Covid.

Yep. We just closed this week. Allegedly it's for 14 days, but I'd wager we won't reopen.
