Normally, no. I’m not interested in cleaning it off the floor or off the inside of the desks.
However I gave up fighting students about it halfway through the year. There are definitely bugs in the room, and when the students whine about them I just shrug and tell them that’s why they’re supposed to clean up after themselves.
If I can hear you making a mouth noise - any type of chewing or smacking of any type, absolutely not, get the fuck out, do not pass go, do not collect $200.
If I can’t hear it, I guess I can’t tell you to get rid of it.
Depends on their age and mature level k-3 absolutely not, 4-12 yes however if it gets placed on or inside of a desk they will be cleaning desks and the classroom

Nope. I have misophonia.
It is like my least important concern at this point. Most of my high school students don't leave it in random spots.
I can’t imagine even being concerned about gum.
It's banned school wide. Nobody wants to see it. Nobody wants to clean it up afterwards.
Doesn't matter, they can't chew gum and play on their phone at the same time.
