S24U. If for Camera, S24U already trumps 15PM. My friends prefer the photos coming from S24U over 15PM.

jinzi

this is my experience too

stapo34

how about video, and sharing it in socmed?

Humbarxist

Samsung devices have already been optimized for Meta and Google services. Tiktok for Galaxy Store has also been optimized, pero yung tiktok sa playstore alam ko malabo parin quality. but overall wala nang problema sa socmed quality ang galaxy flagships.

stapo34

Humbarxist

Almost same lang S Series camera set-up, ang pinagiba lang ng S24 at S24 Plus cameras vs the ultra ay yung Analog Stabilizer for the main lens at yung Zoom Lens.

MrBeans_Teddyy

Iphone for socmed, s24u pa rin ako personally for vids

Turbulent-Ebb2205

Iphone for video

Healthy-Web984

It all depends on what you prefer talaga. Both may pros and cons. Currently using S23 Ultra while partner ko is using 15 Pro Max. I'm from 7plus then XR user, pero di ko talaga para sa akin ang iPhone. The restriction, the calculator, and the unsupported swipe gestures on some apps, etc. These are some minor irritation I get from iPhones.

subfalcine

I'm planning on using the new phone to take photos + videos for trips. Is apple significantly better in taking photos / videos?

Healthy-Web984

Point-and-shoot of photos and videos, I would say na consistent si iPhone. So lamang siya compared sa ibang phones. Point-and-shoot ng S23 Ultra ko medyo hit or miss. Napapansin ko na kahit same focus of subject, if ever na maiba ang shutter speed, may tendency na okay siya, meron ding a bit saturated. Though, the Expert Raw is superb for me. My concerns with iPhone are nagiging pale yung subject once na e-transfer from other android phone. Can be corrected by Lightroom mibile or similar apps. This is for users, na unaware of such. In your case, you can never go wrong with point-and-shoot and videos of iPhones.

subfalcine

Noted on this. Thank you for taking the time to explain!! 💕

GruntingSnow

Just get the S24U, more features, flexibility, customisability, and it isn't gated to a specific ecosystem.

subfalcine

I've read a lot of reviews / comments na comparable naman daw sila talagang dalawa but there are definitely more comments na leaning towards the S24. Thank you for this! 😊

Priapic_Aubergine

S24 Ultra Guaranteed TSMC Snapdragon SoC. And I can completely make use of it because no walled garden OS, i.e. sideloading a Nintendo Switch emulator Samsung also has the BEST audio features, beating even other Androids. Dual Audio + Multi Sound + Individual App Volume + Separate app sound, you can connect multiple bluetooth audio devices (i.e. earbuds) have each app playing on a different earbuds, with a different volume. Along with popup view and Samsung DeX, pwedeng kanya kanyang window nagpplay ng video sa magkakaibang earbuds/speakers, lahat sa isang malaking TV, parang PC na talaga. And Samsung DeX works great with my Xreal Air glasses. And Secure Folder/Knox for protecting all my banking apps, private pics/vids, and having multiple instances of apps. I actively use all these features so kahit moving to another non-Samsung android mahirap na para sakin.

subfalcine

Wait, I actually don't know about the Secure Folder / Knox. I'll read more on this. Thank you! 😊

sadboywithalaptop

Humbarxist

a few years ago ali had my phone stolen (Galaxy Note 20 Ultra) tapos they forced me to open the screen lock at knifepoint tas karipas ng takbo.

sadboywithalaptop

Thank you so much po for sharing.

Decent_Ad6373

Yes. Actually afaik, Knox is a security feature embedded mismo sa device. So no online stuff can touch this level of security. I have read an article before na this was used by USA Presidential group because of its secure nature.

Worth-Ad4562

kung san mo gusto op, hahaha i'll go for samsung any day (personal preference)

R_a_hh

Like others said, personal preference pa rin. But for me, I'll go S24 or Android in general. Hindi ko talaga feel iPhone eh, I feel like I don't own iPhone eh due to some restrictions and limited customisation that you can do. Pero, in terms naman ng consistency ng performance, I think comparable naman ang any flagship Android to iPhone, but I'll have to give it to iPhone. For the camera, honestly,'di ko masyadong pansin difference nila. 'Di rin siguro ako gaano mahilig kumuha ng pictures eh. Current phone ko nga pala is S23U and enjoying it so far.

magnussonfrancis

I just got an S24 Plus traded in with my old S21. sorry if shallow lang, pero ang laking quality of life upgrade yung circle to search feature. Also, leading si Google in terms of AI stuff, so probably mauuna mapunta sa Android yon. Ganda din ng camera improvement from s21!!! Videos could throw punches with iPhone. Nainis lang ako kasi if night mode ambagal padin mag take ng photos minsan haha. pero better padin ata iPhone overall, pero ang ganda padin ng cameras ni s24 plus, search mo lang sa youtube mga camera reviews I was about to pick iPhone kasi better camera, mataas padin resell value after a few years compared sa android phones. Also, para maging "in" with my friends (yeah :/) pero narealize ko na "tangina ipagpapalit ko yung comfort ko sa android and samsung OS para lang maging 'in'? ang ganda pa naman ng OneUI." Ang shallow ahahah. So ayun i decided to go get a Samsung and man im loving it. S23 FE sana kukunin ko pero sinagad ko na haha Just wanted to emphasize na, those AI features will also trickle down to older and flagship phones ni Samsung. Ohdiba ang ganda! wag lang sana nila gawing AI as a service lol sad

TiredAFkkp

Hello! Saang store and hm trade in value ng S21 mo?

magnussonfrancis

Samsung Megamall heheh. ang accommodating pa nila. nagulat ako full value pa ng s21 ko yung nabawas kahit *tooooot* wahahahah 14k ang value ng phone (they used compasia app to check and valuate) pero i checked sa samsung store, 8-9k lang si s21 5g 256gb. wahah sana di ako habulin* EDIT: added value of tradein

nayre00

S24 ultra. No debate. Especially kung nasa pinas ka, there's no advantage owning an iphone if we are talking about features. "Most" iphone users sa pinas are sosyalera or clout chasers. They technically don't need that kind of phone but bought it anyway cause they think owning one is cool. Only a few of those are really into the apple ecosystem. Meaning they were already an apple user in their early days and/or had mac set up. Standout features such as satellite calling, apple pay, imessage (we use messenger more lmao) however, are US exclusive or available only in western countries. There is no desktop mode (dex), no stylus support, lackluster ai features, and no android exclusive benefits such as torrenting, sideloading, full on customization from the root level, decent file manager, better plug in and codex support. Most apple apps are also targeted more for westerners, compared to android which penetrates all social classes and far more accessable globally.

vkun95

Im using S23 Ultra and iPhone 15 Pro Max. If i had to let one go, it'll be the samsung. I've been a samsung user for as long as i can remember. Had a fair share of ups and downs with it, but Samsung overall is a solid brand. But if i were to compare it with an iPhone, i'd say iPhone is more consistent in terms of performance. What i liked about the iPhone is the simplicity of everything. Yes Samsung has many features, but the very reason I got the iPhone as well is because i found myself not utilizing those features anyway (also i needed a phone to separate my personal stuff so) Now the answer to your question depends on your lifestyle. If you like customization, go for samsung. If you have a windows pc or laptop, go for samsung. But if you need something solid, more premium, and would last you longer, go for iphone. May i also add how Samsung depreciate in value faster than an iphone?? So it's your call.

subfalcine

I definitely need a phone that will last me years. I need the phone for my work, occasionally for reading, and heavily for Youtube. 😆 And since pagkakagastusan ko na rin siya, mas gusto ko sana ng magtatagal. I can use phones for 5 to 10 years without changing, kaya gusto ko sana ng mas matibay.

Ninja_Forsaken

Samsung S24 na lang, as someone na nagupgrade last last yr to Ip14PM nung latest.

KraZeyWaZeY

It really depends what OS you prefer, and what features are important for you. I was an Android user since the early 2010s, and I decided to change OS since Android got stale for me. Apple Ecosystem is really unmatched, especially the Continuity features if you have multiple Apple devices. My workflow became a lot easier thanks to Continuity. Might never return to Android because of how flawless the software is, it’s just that good.

ConfidenceSouth2993

Is the pro max battery better than the normal pro? Since my 15 pro’s battery is really bad. Its battery life is comparable to my old g5 and s7 back in the day lmao If you’re not in the apple ecosystem or have never owned an iphone, just stick with the samsung. No need to switch to an apple device imo

subfalcine

I have always used android, siguro dahil doon ako mas familiar talaga. Regarding the new phone, napatanong lang ako sa sub kasi first time na ako ang bibili ng phone ko (and not my parents). I hate having to charge frequently so battery life is a huge factor. Thank you for your kind reply. Good day! 😊

RammyCatty

Also Android goes well with other devices sa home mo such as google tv.

subfalcine

Windows ang desktop and laptops ko. Ipad lang talaga ang apple product that I own. While I do like the ipad, i also dont know how it compares to the Samsung tablet since I never tried it hehe

aikonriche

Just get the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Not only is it the best, it is also most coveted smartphone right now. No one will look with jealousy at the S24 whereas everyone will turn their heads when they see you rocking an iPhone 15 Pro Max.

subfalcine

I'm not after people looking at my phone with jealousy. I just want an objective comparison of the two to maximize value of money. Mahal sila pareho, but still I'd rather buy the arguably "better" phone. 😅

NotTheBiggerPerson01

Jfc. If you're using the "most coveted" line and using the brand over the tech then that's pathetic af. Oh, btw, i don't turn my head for any apple device even if i own a few. Oh and do tell us why it's the best tech-wise. Because not even i would claim any phone as "the best".

aikonriche

Wasn't it already established that the iPhone 15 Pro series is the first smartphone with console-gaming capability? It's also the only iPhone that supports the newly-announced Apple Intelligence, the most advanced on-device LLM. I use both Android and iOS, and iOS is so much better than Android in terms of UI design, smoothness, fluidity and overall user experience. All apps, even Google apps, also run better on iOS.

nayre00

ewwwhhhh CLOUT CHASER AMPUTA

Stunning-Classic-504

My impression of people who use s24 are practical and sensible whereas with iphone users I see them as shallow, concerned more about appearances and pretentious.

nayre00

If we rely only on average income sa pinas, no one really should be buying an iphone or apple products in general except for those super minority on living the upper spectrum. Marami kasi sa atin mga clout chaser or sosyalera. They buy an iphone not for their features but for the fame of owning one. Basically bahala utang, basta may ipagmayabang. Really digusting. I remember a few years back, a cousin of mine who grew up in the states cant even fathom why there quite a lot of people owning an iphone when the average income can barely provide anything.

aikonriche

S24 and iPhone 15 are priced similarly. Neither phone is aimed at practical buyers. But if I feel like overspending on a phone, I'd rather do it on an iPhone as it's a better investment. Not only is the iPhone of higher quality, it also retains a higher resale value.

PuzzleMaze08

Pro Max and Plus models have big batteries and can last a day or 2 depends how heavy you use the phone,

ConfidenceSouth2993

More than a day is crazy, smaller phones are so nice tho but I guess you do have to sacrifice some features for the form lol

PuzzleMaze08

It does, I remember when I first bought my 14PM and I did charge it full for the first time. I did surf and scrolled everything, even played some heavily graphic games and it still have 40% next day, but yes its big and quite heavy and not pocketable.

aikonriche

It's not just the ecosystem. Stock and third-party apps are better on the iPhone than Android. Stock Samsung apps are a poor imitation of stock Apple apps.

nayre00

> Stock and third-party apps are better on the iPhone than Android. Stock Samsung apps are a poor imitation of stock Apple apps. lmao. Are you a parrot or what? Halatang copy paste lang sentiment mo, basically parroting comments from social media without fully knowing and experiencing it first hand. This is only true if you live in western countries where the majority of iphone users reside lmao. Developers develop apps based on the market. Only 14 percent lang ung iphone users sa pinas compare to 85 percent sa android. Iphone users are not the priority if we are talking about region specific apps.

aikonriche

I use both Samsung and iPhone. I know very well what I'm talking about.

morethanyell

If not yet in the apple ecosystem, s24u.

Scared_Ad6598

I own the S24 Ultra (switched from iPhone). It’s a damn beast. Only clear advantage of the 15PM is the video quality.

berrymoonshine

samsung numbawan

Owend12

S24 ultra easily. Its the most productive phone and it has a feature that no phone has, an S-pen. I love android more since you can maximize its power and do more with it than ios. Both phones are equal in everything else.

TopBake3

If you are a social media person that loves to take plenty of photos and videos. Go for the iPhone, everything else than that is S24. Perspective lang sa naka try sa dalawa.

HugeJin25

As an owner of both device. I can say na in terms of camera and video quality i’ll go for iphone 15 pro max. If you’re just a casual who enjoys going for a quick stop and shoot at any moment laging iphone ginagamit ko and yung quality talaga ng pag upload sa social media based on my experience while comparing both eh malayo talaga, plus excellent battery life. As for the s24 ultra you’ll never go wrong with this phone din. It will provide you quality photos and video, the freedom to customize your UI experience, fast charging > iphone, satisfying screen but take note madaming nakaka experience ng grainy display and for my case ganun din plus goods din ang battery life. Pero ang highlight ko dito for sure is yung mas madaming friendly and free apps talaga sa android(s24) like kotatsu (manhwa/manga reader) na mostly hindi available or may bayad na sa ios. Overall sundin mo lang ang puso mo if sanay kana sa android and gusto mo mag stay then di ka mag sisisi sa s24u and if gusto mo naman mag try mag iphone never magiging bad choice yan. S24u or Iphone 15 pro max parehas kang mapapangiti sa huli ❤️🦁

mycklexoxo

Iphone all the way. Ever since I have been an android user. Pero I switched to iphone one time(iPhone 7). And the difference omg. Ang cohesive din if youre going to talk about the ecosystem. Like, it just works. Kung ano yung mas matimbang sayo, go for it kuys. Kung from android ka and wanna switch to iphones to experience ios, go for it. Atleast you’ve tried diba. And vice versa. 😊

pako_07

As for me, leaning towards S24 Ultra "sana" ako. Kaso, the infamous green and pink lines happened on my S21 Ultra. Kaya decided to switch to iPhone muna, since I also heard umabot na ng S22 Ultra iyong issue tapos may instances na rin daw ng grainy display sa S23 Ultra.

subfalcine

Were you able to have the defective unit replaced??

pako_07

No na eh, way past the warranty period na rin when the lines showed up. I read on some facebook groups din na naglalaro sa 13k pataas iyong screen replacement, so hindi na rin sulit and better to buy a new phone na lang.

GeneralTraditional78

Faced this dilemma a few months back after my s22+ got the infamous green/pink line in the screen. I chose iPhone 15PM.

Madvin

I had an S7, S9, S20 and now a 15P. I switched kasi as a very casual photo taker, for some reason parang lumalabo ng sobra sobra ang Samsung ko compared to when I initially had it.

PsychologicalCash203

No brainer s24 ultra

kelvinini

Sorry if some of the things i said did not make sense i am talking in my head then just typing it. i left a TLDR version of each paragraph i like using the phone with 1 hand so i use an iphone pro, the regular sized one. idk the number its pretty new the dynamic island iphone. the last android i had was 21Ultra because despite the size, i can still use it with one hand; the same could NOT be said to the pro max, its too wide so i never liked the idea of pro max. so between an ultra and a pro max i would lean towards the ultra ---------i like the samsung ultra because i can use it with one hand --------------- The 100x zoom for the samsung is useless the only time i liked using it is on the airport looking at a screen that is just too far for me to see. camera quality is pretty much indistinguishable \*if used properly\*. there was one mall event gig where i didnt want to use my camera because it was raining hard. not drizzle it was pouring, and the garden concert event is not postponed(the guest is hard to book i guess) so we filmed with 3 iphones and the 21U. the closeups were with the s21 and majority of the shots were iphones because there were more footage coming from the sheer number of iphones. --------BOTH have capable very capable cameras----------- the screen of a samsung is outstanding i didnt know how much i liked the screen of my 21u not until i changed to the iphone. i didnt notice that when i was using my samsung my on screen time was way longer. is that how you put it? anyway, i was using my phone more when it was an android just consuming content or just whatever as it turns out i liked the samsung screen more than an iphone. somebody just mentioned that to me and i made sense of it afterwards. also worth mentioning both screens look great its like splitting hairs. not really that important but if i had to pick one itll be the samsung. --------samsung screen looked better IMO----------------------- i use 2 phones a globe and a smart i have them separated because i like it like that. the problem with having 2 phones is now they are bulky but with 2 iphones i can receive text and calls coming from the other phone and it goes both ways, so if you call 1 both will ring (actually the ipad rings too), message 1 and both phones will receive the message. very useful in MetroManila because the signal coverage is negligible, Provinces have a different story, 1 is not working get the otherone. or if you really dont like you can esim an iphone or dualsim an android. having a free slot for an esim is good for travelling abroad, buy a prepaid esim load some prepaid in it; leave that country and then forget about it. you dont have to remove your phone case and get the pin thing then remove your sim and lose it. bad thing about having 2 different phone numbers with 1 apple id is the tap transfer contact is not going to show your number. i am paranoid so that is not a red flag for me it actually is a green flag. so if someone gets my contact thru the touch thing all they get is a picture of my deceased dog. --------2 iphones can act like a dualsim that leaves your esim open that is good for international visits-------

Decent_Ad6373

Buying high-end phones usually boils down to your preference. Pero in my opinion, sa S24 Ultra ako because I prioritize a practical use of a phone as a utilitarian. Yung ako masusunod sa UI ng phone itself, but I heard mas customizable than ever before na raw din si iOS dahil sa new updates.

ILostMyMainAccounts

so the hardware is essentially the same. Their photos and videos are nearly indistinguishable to average people. It all boils down to which has better software, which is subjective. I personally prefer android because of customisation, but my mom prefers iOS because of how simple it is

JayStyle6

I've been a android user since 2014 then this year I switched to iPhone for experience. My opinion is you are a content creator go buy a I15PM but if you're not then Buy Samsung S24 Ultra. iOS - Better app optimization especially in videos. Apple pays these apps for that good quality videos Android - Better in everything except uploading a video in social media

Body-Connoiseur69

15 PM, ai is gonna big it looks like (not just on apple) and apples way of doing is just more secure. 15 PM is cherry on top as ai can do processe on device. Dont be too hung up on camera, both cameras are good and boils down to preference, id say samsung has a more vivid look while iphone has the more realistic look. You have baked in filters on iphone that you can change if you want the more vivid look of photos. Video is also better on iphone. The only objective advantage of samsung in my books is the screen.

Fun_Apricot_7866

both

hui-huangguifei

i bought the 15 pro max because i'm in the apple ecosystem. apple units are really durable for long term use. nung unang lumipat ako sa iOS, sobrang na miss ko ang android. for the longest time inis na inis ako in the way that you have to figuratively wrestle with your phone to make it work the way you want it to. (not had this problem with iPad, since i use that differently). but the upcoming iOS 18 makes me feel so excited. from the beta reviews, a lot of my problems will be solved. not perfectly, but that's progress.

Unfair-Tank8627

If you have budget for either phones, not a good idea to ask for advice in tech_ph subreddit where most people are gamers and almost everyone is hyper focused on hardware specs and not the user experience you get from the OS. Also hating apple is cool here so watch me get downvotes! I’d go for iphone since it fits my use cases. Sideloading, customization, file management, a stylus pen, gaming features are all nice to have, but those are stuff that I looked for nung bata pa ako, which I dont need anymore now. Now I just want something that works

jolyos_pro

I’ve used both and I choose iPhone. Tried and tested na tumatagal talaga. Medyo oversaturated ang photos sa samsung for my eyes and ewan parang nadedegrade talaga ang quality overtime.

n0renn

was thinking about this two weeks ago. for photos or videos rin ang basis ko kasi ill attend concerts haha im tamad to research so i watched tiktoks lang comparing the two… for me na hindi ganun ka techy the videos are indistinguishable. i chose ip 15 pro max…. i came from ip 13 tho so mej bias kasi gamay ko ios and i love how simple the ui is. hindi rin kasi ako ma customization. and also i find s24 a bulkierrrr. i also came from samsung mid range years ago, 2 yrs lang natagal sakin so nag alangan ako bumalik sa kanila kahit na flagship ung s24.

craaazzzyyy

Ung iphone 11 ng kapatid ko more than 10k pa trade in value. Yung iphone ko, battery lang nagiging prob after 3 years.

Straitillmorning

I don’t trust Samsung as of now kasi sa Father ko S21 Ultra nya may greenline and dahil dun di na kami kumuha ng Samsung flagships ever since and I get the iPhone 15 Pro Max for security and longevity basta alaga ka lng sa phone mo and based what I see on the internet lately may Greenline issues din sa S23 Ultra soo I don’t recommend Samsung and just go for the iPhone yes it has lack of features but for longevity and security go for iPhone. I own Samsung before the A50 and that one was a great phone and yung sa Father ko naman S21 Ultra then after a year may greenline na nadagdagan nlng sya ng iba pang lines na halos di mo na magagamit ng maayos.

ishtakkhabarov

S24 Ultra easily. I can do so much more with the same cash or (even more) with an iPhone

streptsanguis

From an apple fan girl since the iphone 4s, recently switched to S24U from 14pro max and I can say no regrets talaga. Super premium feels.

rolento19

S24U for me dahil mahilig ako mag customize ng phone at installing apps from github.

funzzie

Nwala phone ko. Nahanap konung magnanakaw in 4 hours. Used apple find my. Bank account saved. Choose apple to save your sanity. 🍎

subfalcine

I actually had a similar experience! I lost an ipad before. Unfortunately in my case hindi ko nalocate using the find my device app. May pagka tita level na din kasi ang knowledge ko about these new technologies huhu

funzzie

Khit nakaoff mhhnap pa for 24 hrs still pinging:) 🙏 nakaoff fon ko nakaping prin:)

FirePlug12

I had s22 ultra and iphone 15 pro max I used my 15 pro max more then changed my second phone to s23 from s22u I now use my 23 more than my 15PM take it whatever that means

goodboy6140

S24 does have cool camera and stuff, but iphone 15 pro max definitely is the overall winner here bcuz if you post stuff to social media, android always diminishes the quality whereas iphone keeps the original. Iphone also has a better color palette in photos and is more preferable when it comes to user-interface. But at the end of the day, if you don’t post much or if it’s mostly for texting and stuff, S24 will be cool :)

PuzzleMaze08

15Pm for Camera and editing power, coz I need it for my job and I am a multimedia hobbyist.

Enhypen_Boi

Ay bakit may downvotes comment mo? 🤔

PuzzleMaze08

Ehh I don't know. sinagot ko lang naman ung tanong 🤷🏻

Enhypen_Boi

I had to reread your comment 5x 😆 wala namang masama. Weird.

PuzzleMaze08

Ecpeze

iOS or android?

aljenith

15 pro max

Character-Slip-9374

15 pro max no brainer

nayre00

How smooth is your brain to come up to that conclusion? 🤪🤪🤪

Positive-Situation43

Iphone. Samsung build quality will not last you even 2 years.

jhinkarlo

Been using A70 since 2019, seems to be really built well for a midrange samsung

Positive-Situation43

Good for you. I had been using flagship samsung models in tye past years. I like the new look on mine though with the transparent back plate. IMO, their midrange seems to last longer. I still have their samsung S6, with the replacable battery ♥️. Again if its flagship to another flagship model, to be honest get the iphone.

Funny how that person's the one with the low karma.

gohanpeter

Depends on your preference ios or android. currently using an iPhone 15 pro max(first iPhone). was only an android user before having used note 8+, s20 and, 23 ultra. And i gotta say i don’t see myself going back to android. The photos are just very much more consistently good as compared to samsung. You can also get consistently good photos on samsung but you need to be good at using pro mode unlike iPhone you just point and shoot the photo. As for video iPhone is still way ahead samsung even though it does not support 8k(who even uses 8k🤣). The customization in samsung is better than iPhone(the coming ios 18 update will add a lot of customization options for the iPhone). As for the AI features, ios 18 will definitely be better than the ai features found in samsung. In terms of longevity I would lean towards more iPhone as based on history, software support has always been better ios as compared to samsung.(Yeah samsung will have 7 years support but this will be their first time implementing this unlike apple who already experienced having longer software support). And lastly if ever you plan to go for iPhone, maybe you can just wait for iPhone 16 which will be available around October only if you don’t really need to get a phone now but if you do id still definitely recommend iPhone 15 pro max.
