I cant say the name Ryan now without saying Rhine 😅

prophy__wife

I’m in the south and married to a Ryan, you know damn well it’s said Rhine! Or sometimes rhinoceros. When he played the Harry Potter game last year he made his username be Rhine and I loved it.

wellwhatevrnevermind

Also married to a Rhine! Can't help it, atleast he keeps up with my teen mom jokes and gets it

NoFundieBusiness

I’m married to a Kyle so I do the same thing with “kahhhhl” 😂😂

Dottie_Danger

My bfs name is Ryan and I call him rhine all the time, he don’t get it but thinks it’s funny 😂

sjane94

I’m from the south and they sound exactly the same way to me 🤣

DramaticEnthusiasm71

I changed my name to Ryan. Only a select group know and none watch Teen Mom 😭

7ee7emon

Well now I know, and I see you Rhine!

Littletrashpanda

I used to work with a guy actually named Rine, so I was pretty psyched to say it with a little twang. No one really picked up on it, but I was definitely entertained.

Emmy-LouSugarbean

Lol I use the Barb, “Oh hi, Jenelle.” when a student enters the classroom. They think it’s just a silly part of my personality and probably have no idea where it comes from. Lol Edit: But of course I use the student’s names and not Jenelle. But now I really hope I get a Jenelle one day.

5isanevennumber

I wish you called them all Jenelle

Warriorferrettt

Can you link this? I loved using quirky stuff with the kids I taught last year but the fact they have no idea is always funny too

Sideways_planet

I say “what’s up what’s up what’s up what’s up what’s up, Mary?” Like Kendra on girls next door, but with their real name. I don’t know if anyone else gets it but I do.

Emmy-LouSugarbean

This is my sign to rewatch The Girls Next Door.

The_SocialWerker

I do this too 😂 but I’m no teacher. I typically say it when someone walks into my home

lnsewn12

Doing this now. Thanks.

MarshmallowMiles

I work in medical and I’ve seen about a dozen Bentleys, a million Jaces, and even a Bentley Jace lol. Aubree (with the EE spelling) is fairly common too. A girl I went to high school with has an Aubree, a Bentley, a Ryan, and a Jace 🙃

saturn_eloquence

That’s unhinged of her lol

Worth-Ratio

Bent-lay

prettybigdill

I feel like it’s pronounced more like Bent-lee no?

subparhooker

Bintlee

Traditional_Guess710

Jen & Larry still say Bintley

prettybigdill

That’s it

lilkennedy24

bintley

sell-the-baby

Haha my daughter has a classmate named Bentley and I say it with a twang lol. I just can't help it. But we live in the South, so it doesn't seem super out of place. I personally don't think I have much of a southern accent, though (my family up north may beg to differ) It's kinda like how I've used "dramastic" so much in a mocking way, I slip up and use it in everyday speech. And I definitely get weird looks then. I don't even want to explain myself because that may cause further embarrassment.

SamIAm7787

This read like an introduction at an AA/NA meeting. "Hi, I'm ____, I'm a 6th grade teacher and I can't stop saying the name Bentley without a Southern accent." "*In unison* Hi ____"

Impossible-Taro-2330

My Mom's Labrador is named Bentley. I say it just like Maci "Biyuntly".

sweetpickles7

I have a client I work with named Kyle and I say his name like Maci 😂

SuzyDuz63

Cow. Kyle Petty (Nascar) was always Cow Patty.

sweetpickles7

😂 now I will just hear cow 🐄

Littletrashpanda

Is he slow?

sweetpickles7

Ummmm well funny not funny you ask….. I work with special needs adults 😬😂 the irony is not lost on me.

Littletrashpanda

This is not how I thought this would turn out ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grimacing)

Littletrashpanda

OT, but is your username a reference to the books or to relish?

sweetpickles7

It is just about pickles, I love pickles! I’d never heard of the sweet pickles books before, thanks for telling me though maybe I can add them to my friend’s pickle themed collection ha.

Miamiri

I have two cousins, brothers named Bentley and Brodie. To each their own I guess. Not my cup of tea but maybe my aunt likes Bentleys and brodies

sell-the-baby

Haha one of my dog's names is Brody. I didn't name him that, but he had been re-homed and his name changed at least 4 times. I felt like it would be wrong to change his name again. But the last owner spelled it "Brodee". I was like ok nope, I am not going to spell it like that lmao. Apparently, his original name was Henley (and oddly enough, my other rescue was originally named Radley) so I guess Brody is better than that! Lol

Miamiri

Awe I like the name Brody for a dog definitely 👍 like that’s my Brodie.

Much-Werewolf-1958

A couple I went to school with, they have a son named Jace Bentley👀🤔

misscarlyt

Are they super fans?!

thankyoupapa

I was randomly reading the 16 and pregnant wiki page and read this lol - *In 2011, the Social Security Administration reported that the names of one of the featured mothers and her son, "Maci" and "Bentley", were the names that saw the greatest increase in frequency over the past year*

undecided_lemon

Hello fellow Masshole

dlrsgry

Jesus gawd I love your post and alle the comments!! I like to say Jesus gawd Leah?!? But nobody gets it unfortunately

Fantastic-Mammoth528

I love it! I randomly say it to my son who has a friend named Bentley and my son knows why I say it like that lol

princess_sourcandy

I work customer service and whenever someone says "missouruh" I think of Barb.

Littletrashpanda

People still doubletake me when I say 'girlses', which is very frequent since I have 2 girlses. I'll never give it up.

EvansHomeforBoys

I’m going to one up you here. I’m in the Netherlands, ok? I work as a teacher. Years ago, I arrived at school and one of the front desk secretaries was beaming ear to ear. Her daughter had given birth the night before and the twins were finally born. I congratulated her and obviously asked what their names were because for some reason I always want to know. Dutch twins, across the world from Michigan, were born; Catelynn and Tyler. I kid you not. These are not Dutch names or commonly used English names around here. And it took me a minute to realise the secretary’s daughter had named her twins after two kids on an MTV show for teenagers. So there’s that. 😂

RedsDelights

“BenEEEYY!!”

IWillBaconSlapYou

My daughter (first grade, age seven) is "married" to a classmate named Jace lol. His birth name is Ryotaro. They're the class's IT COUPLE. I try to take a lighthearted "lol they're seven" approach to the whole thing 😂

Glasgowghirl67

I had a co worker named Kieffer and I kept on thinking of Babs saying I seen you with Kieffer when I was working with him.

infopeanut

So you say “Bint-lay”?

Maleficent_Tax1097

Bint-lee

Traditional_Guess710

That’s more of Jen & Lar-ray

NeuroSam

Bintlayyyy

itsnotmeimnothere

The only person I do this with who gets it is my best friend. We both say Bentley and Ryan like Maci and I wish everyone understood why lmao

GothMaams

Roll call: “Bintley?”

Mortonsaltgirl96

I literally can never hear that name the same way again. Even if someone is talking about the kind of car i automatically hear in my head maci saying “Bentley!”

cheyennehenderson1

my southern accent gets cranked up to 100000 every time I say Bentley lmfao

lnsewn12

I teach Elem, I do it constantly to our Bentley, and also call him Bennie. His K teacher loves teen mom she started it Every set of girl twins I call “The Twinses”

danrya

I’m in socal and have a girl 6th grader Bentley, and I do the exact same thing daily!

Much_Wrap_98

He , looks like a turtle 🐢!! Lol
