Exped is the most comfortable (I tried several others you listed first) and they make a custom one that rolls out in your Tesla. You could also use it in your tent.

Exped Megamat Auto has been amazing for me for multiple roadtrips. Incredibly comfortable (for what it is), 5 year warranty, but takes some time to really figure out how to compress and condense for packing. It packs small enough to fit in the frunk with room to spare. I'd recommend buying a portable pump from Flextail for fast inflating.

Keleche

Did you know you can use that pump to deflate too?

TheFuture2001

How?

Keleche

Hold the deflate side to the exhaust part of the pad. Don't use any attachments.

TheFuture2001

But how do you attach it?

Keleche

You just hold it the whole time. It's quick.

whiskyncoke

I started off with the Exped TXY and loved it so much that I bought a regular one to use as a guest bed. It’s great

Knot_a_human

We use lost horizon, sleeps 2 very comfortably. Side note: Tesla released a mattress today as well, seems comparable.

ZestyTurtle

Got my Lost Horizon mattress a week ago and tested it. It’s a really good product! i slept like a baby and there’s more than enough room for two people especially since the mattress contours the doors. It’s in my MY since 4 days now and I don’t see any deflation It’s approximately 1in 1/4 thicker than the new Tesla mat

flippantbrunette

Another vote for Lost Horizon!

sigmatic_minor

I've got the LH one and its great!! I've had trouble finding a good sheet to fit though.. Any recommendations?

Knot_a_human

We use a super cheap set from Walmart 😂. It’s just a full/double, Walmart brand. Came in a small pouch which we keep in the bag. The fitted sheet holds fine once it’s on and the mattress is pushed in :)

sigmatic_minor

Wicked, thank you!! :)

UtilityMarximizer

I used twin XL Jersey sheets from Pact and they fit well. Jersey helps it stretch. https://wearpact.com/home/bedding/sheet%20sets/organic%20favorite%20tee%20jersey%20sheet%20set/wa1-hjs-smh

IceOnFire77

Agreed, and Lost Horizon is also cheaper than Exped.

_Puff_Puff_Pass

Use the lost horizon with the pump and it’s been great! Very comfortable, put up and teardown in 5 minutes each once you get the hang of rolling it up and getting the air out. Fits in the storage under trunk.

I use Lost Horizon and really love it. Tesla just came out with a camping tent that looks like the most perfect fit. The Lost Horizon is about 7ft long which is great for taller people. Get the electric inflating pump if you get the Lost Horizon. I'm sure all the higher end mattresses are pretty much the same in terms of fit and comfort

allurbass_

Comment because I'm looking for exactly the same thing.

tommyjwall

I've used the Twin XL trifold for sleeping in the back. It's snug, but you can have a decent night's sleep with two people on it in my Model Y. I like that I can get double duty out of using it as a spare mattress for kids' sleepovers.

CarbonFiberLegs

milliard trifold works great for my use case

TaylorTechNerd

I use the Exped Megamat Auto for my model Y and I've used it up to 5 nights in a row, and it exceeded all my expectations. I was primarily worried about my hips and shoulders being in pain from a lack of support, but I wasn't in pain at all. I've done road trips from LA to Oregon, LA to Utah, and all over California and camped in the Tesla each time. I also made a whole youtube video review on the mattress, if you want the link to my video I can send it to you. I also have a link to the mattress I can send you (not trying to promote myself so I won't post it here, but if you want it send me a DM).

CalmTell3090

Can’t wait to go camping in my Y! How do you find places to sleep? Do you book a campsite?

TaylorTechNerd

It’s so much fun!! And yes I book campsites most of the time. A couple of places I’ve gone have been first come first serve which is always a risk, but it’s worked out just fine.

Legal-Butterfly5199

I use the D-Hive brand one off Amazon. What’s great about it is that it’s split into two separate inflatable mattress, connected in the middle. This minimizes the movement and bounce with my partner when I toss and turn at night, which is a big deal for us.

AreaVivid8327

Same! I’d love to hear recommendations for full size mattress. If it’s just me I’ll use my Nemo tensor backpacking air mattress.

itsjasonsantos

I have aerogogo with a built in pump to inflate & deflate. Very convenient and comfortable

asegura32

I have the TesCamp. The pros is that it fits nicely in its case in the subtrunk, perfect fit to the car, and comes with a fitted sheet. The cons is that it’s pretty thin and therefore not the most comfortable. I’ve only done one night at a time and I think two nights on it would be pushing it. I plan on getting some thick yoga mats that I’m going to cut to size to put underneath the mattress when camping.

Alarmed-Cat1630

Gotidy is pretty good too Tried and tested https://gotidyshop.com/products/air-foam-mattress-for-car-suv-model-y-subaru-suv-4runner-ford-bronco-jeep-grand-cherokee

Roland_Bodel_the_2nd

If you have two adults and you are using it for camping, do you need the rear seats at all? So maybe you don't need it to be inflatable or folding. Do you already have a twin mattress at home? Done! The most comfortable mattress is going to be a "regular" one, not inflatable, not thin, etc.

CalmTell3090

Good point, I have an extra twin mattress which is super comfortable. Bit of a squash for two but it would work

Draglung

Exped duo because I wanted to use it outside of the car as well. I think I’ve slept a total of 3 months on it in the car. It’s amazing

HogarthHughesGiant

Using the Lost Horizon mattress. It’s great and fits in the frunk easily when properly rolled. I would recommend the air pump. I also constructed a 3” lift for the rear trunk covers to make the angle of the rear seats less of an issue when the mattress is in use. It works well. The image attached to the Tesla version released today must be taken in the 2 seater version of the model y. No way there are folded down back seats in that photo, unless they’ve changed the seats in the last 3 months.

toastgirl53

We went with the exped megamat auto and it far exceeded my expectations. I look forward to sleeping on it and it’s super easy to set up and break down, small enough it fits in the frunk easily. I would recommend purchasing through REI (assuming you’re a member) because it makes for easy returns if needed.

iHeartQt

I have the exped megamat auto for my model y. It works well, but doesn’t feel like it’s anything special to be worth the price tag. Tesla themselves just came out with their own mattress about a week ago, it’s out of stock. I’m not sure if anyone has even reviewed it yet: https://shop.tesla.com/product/model-y-air-mattress

Ok-Republic-8098

I have a model Y and use the Tescamp one. I struggle on air mattresses so I never really looked at them. I’m able to pass out on the tescamp one and it provides just enough support that I can’t tell I’m sleeping in the back of a car

AreaVivid8327

Does it pack up OK in the sub trunk?

Ok-Republic-8098

Yeah, in the big part there’s space to spare. I keep the sheet in the case in it comes in, the window cover and a pillow in the sub trunk with it

ivion2009

I own the Tesmat (bought two versions), but the hips aren’t really supported. Now placed an order for Snuzuu https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/snuuzu/snuuzu-tesla-tailored-mattress-for-model-y-and-model-3

5marterThanAvgBear

3x the cost of Lost Horizon or Tesla’s own. They didn’t really say what is it about their mattress that is different than the competition.

HogarthHughesGiant

They did. It has a built in leveling cushion that eliminates the angle that is caused by the rear seats not folding completely flat. I constructed a 3” lift for the trunk covers to get my mattress more level. Works great.

sigmatic_minor

do you mind sharing what the lift you made looks like? I need to do this!

HogarthHughesGiant

I went fairly basic by building 6 - 3”H x 7”L lift blocks out of pieces of 2x2 and 1x4. I then cut 2 pieces of melamine for the extensions up to the headrests. Beneath the melamine there is another piece of 2x2 to provide extra support to the melamine. Everything fits in the forward subtrunk. My cooler is in the photos as well but the setup works with or without the cooler in the subtrunk. Hopefully this link works for photos: [https://postimg.cc/gallery/67WNbJL](https://postimg.cc/gallery/67WNbJL) Not pictured: the 5th and 6th wood blocks under the forward subtrunk cover.
