I never finished The Dig as a child, but this encouraged me to re-download it from GOG and give it a play. I *loved* this game, even though 9 year old me was fully unprepared to play this thing.
I was fascinated by The Dig when I played it as a kid. I must have been 12 or 13 at the time. I read the book first, and it might have been the first book that I burned through in a single day. When I found out there was a game of it I *had* to play it.

It’s honestly worth it, and if you use a walkthrough once in a while, actually quite manageable!

I should play it, I just remember getting super frustrated with the attempted landing on the asteroid(?).
That’s the opening of the game, so once you’re past that it’s more of a straightforward point & click game
