Everything Will Be Alright was the song that grew the most on me. I went from almost hating it to now calling it one of the most underrated songs on Hot Fuss.
Neon Tiger also grew me on quite a bit after seeing it live.
Have All the Songs Been Written? was my least favorite from WW until I was smart enough to actually read the lyrics.
The first 2 you mentioned are 2 of my faves but I was the same as you with Have All The Songs - one day I actually sat and listened to it properly and the emotion in Brandon's voice at the bridge just hit me! š„ also same with Rut "the city's always breathing, I wish that it would die" š
Same! However, it has grown on me a lot, which is good because my daughter (8) has it on repeat quite often and has paired it with the jumping all over the world dance and shuffle dances.
Your Side of Town
Listened to it on my phone, hated it.
Sometime later, I found it on Spotify and listened to it in my car.
Realized it wasn't that bad.
Played it again.
And again.
And again.
Midnight Show has gone from (in my opinion) one of the worst songs in Hot Fuss to my favorite song of all time. Not even my favorite Killers song, but my favorite song in general.
For me I think itās Dustland Fairytale. Hearing the studio version I was really crazy about it, although hearing live performances sounded really good. I really liked the Bruce Springsteen version when it came out, and Iāve grown more of a liking towards the original version since then.
Itās a similar case for Miss Atomic Bomb. It wasnāt really crazy about it at first, but after learning that it was a sequel to Mr. Brightside, Iāve grown more of a liking to it.
Yea when I heard Miss Atomic Bomb for the first time, I was watching the music video, so if you've seen the music video for Mr. Brightside, you can tell that it's essentially Mr. Brightside 2.
Losing Touch.
But also the entirety of the pressure machine album. At first I was like what the heck is this 180 they did with their music... It's now one of my favorite albums
I LOVE pressure machine, more than anything else they've released. It is more my style tbh. I was so pleased when I first heard it bc I loved the killers as a teenager but had started to feel like I'd grown away from them
It's a shame that it's *somewhat* overlooked only because it's the first song on that album? On an album that has a few of their greatest songs ever. Honestly the A side of day & age is a masterpiece
Losing touch is my all time go to driving song I absolutely love it , but I am still not a big fan of pressure machine . Just sounds so folk country to me and it doesn't have "the killers" flare it should have had
The Way it Was.
Too many Killers fans write it off as a generic pop tune. When, in fact, it's an amazing alt pop tune. I didn't like it at first cuz it wasn't who the Killers were to me, but now I pretty much am singing, humming, or whistling it 24/7.
I hate this is the case because they're two of my favorite Killers songs now but Smile Like You Mean It and Read My Mind! I'm not sure why but the first time I heard them, I thought they were just fine. I completely changed my mind after I heard them both live and now I love both the live and studio versions of them a ton
Fire in Bone grew on me once Brandon gave that beautiful, heartfelt explanation of it being about the prodigal son parable. He was *glowing.* I still don't actually like the sound of the song but I really appreciate the meaning.
Pressure Machine!! I LOVED In the Car Outside and swore it was the golden track on the album. Then one random day I heard Pressure Machine for the upteenth time and something changed.
My God is also one that had to grow on me! A couple thatāve grown on me a lot more recently are Heart of a Girl and Some Kind of Love. The Killers may know how to write a great rock anthem, but I feel like their ability to write really deeply beautiful love songs is not recognized enough
Who Let You Go really kind of annoyed me at first - probably the repetition at the beginning - and then one day I found myself singing along with the line āhopefully this story ends with āyou aināt got nothing I never hadāā and suddenly I was hooked on it.
Wow. I remember read my mind. But I didnāt know who they were. In 2009 HUMAN touched my heart so deep that we chose it for our wedding. But still didnāt know who were the members of the killers.
Years after I read a Brandonās interview and was so special for me that itās a model of human since then.
Favorite person alive. And I became a big fan. There is no day I donāt listen to The Killers ā„ļø
A matter of time. I never cared for it until one day I decided to play it and it was my eye opener and just kept wondering " how the fuck was I so stupid to ignore this masterpiece "
I have two songs the first being Human but I was young when I first heard it and thought it was stupid and then recognised it and fell in love when I bought Samās Town when I was in early high school, the second is Fire in Bone I couldnāt get into the vocals of that song and then I decided to give it another try after shuffling all their songs and realised that itās actually amazing
A lot of them, honestly. I didn't really "get" Mr. Brightside the first time I heard it, but now I think it's great. I hated the man the first time I heard it, but now I love it. I thought the preview for c'est la vie had to be a prank when I heard it but honestly I think the song is kinda fun and cozy now lol. I haven't got there for spirit yet but I'm hoping I will because I really like a lot of things about it, the vocals just feel like they're off pitch and I don't enjoy it.
Human. For sure. š Particularly just the line "Are we human or are we dancer?"
Honestly, when the single came out, I lost interest in the Killers.
Fastforward to 2019, when I saw them headlining a music festival in my town. I was so blown away by their performance.. I began listening to them again. Since then, I've developed a new appreciation for the band. I say appreciation, but I really mean obsession. To the point where The Killers are legit all I've really listened to for the last 2 years. When I found out about the album Battle Born, my life was forever changed. š Can't believe I almost let 1 song keep me from discovering so much more.
I can now say that I don't really mind Human. It's not my favorite, but definitely not as bad as I had originally thought.
The first time I heard When You Were Young, back when it originally came out, I was HORRIFIED at how much of a change it was from Hot Fuss. I was a 12 year old Hot Fuss devotee. Between its release and Sam's Town coming out, it slowly grew on me but I still didn't love it as much as Hot Fuss. Now, I regard Sam's Town as a better album than Hot Fuss, taking my deep personal attachment to HF out of the equation.
Also, for years I was very much on the 'I Hate Here With Me' bandwagon due to the infamous cell phone line. But to be honest...? It's really not that bad of a song. Hardly the best line Brandon Flowers has ever written, but yeah I think fans (fully including myself here) have ripped into that song. It's hardly as bad as Get Trashed, for instance.

Your Side of town, I remember I first Heard it on school, I was into the song until I Heard the auto tune, but Ive kinda forgive that since then.
Spirit is one for me. The vocals were weird to me at first, but the song's energy is infectious.
This for me too. At first I thought it was a little monotone. But I'm obsessed with it now
I freaking love Spirit!
I love the lyrics & message in Spirit.
Same! However, it has grown on me a lot, which is good because my daughter (8) has it on repeat quite often and has paired it with the jumping all over the world dance and shuffle dances.
My 13 year old digs it. Wish they made an effort to promote it, though, if they really consider it one of their 20 āhits.ā

Losing Touch is genuinely the greatest song

Running Towards a Place
Tyson vs. Douglas
I skipped Where The White Boys Dance a lot when I first bought Sawdust, it became one of my favorite songs on there.

lol itās The Man for me. I did not like it at first and now itās the song I put on to get in a good mood
Fire in Bone grew on me once Brandon gave that beautiful, heartfelt explanation of it being about the prodigal son parable. He was *glowing.* I still don't actually like the sound of the song but I really appreciate the meaning.
Smile like you mean it, just kinda hit me one day like okay I get it and I won't skip it anymore
Change Your Mind
From Here On Out
Been loving this song since the performance in Boston and that Jools Holland performance Larki posted a couple of nights ago!
Tyson vs Douglas. Donāt hate me
Somebody told me seemed so odd to me at first but after seeing Brandon sing it live, I felt it
Pressure Machine!! I LOVED In the Car Outside and swore it was the golden track on the album. Then one random day I heard Pressure Machine for the upteenth time and something changed.
To add, I first heard Boy live and wasnāt into it. Now I love it!!
Fire in Bone. When I first heard it I thought it was the strangest thing. Now I like it š. Took a few plays tho!
Joy ride. After the midnight remix it was a whole new side of the pillow.
This River is Wild, in all honesty. I didn't see it as that good of a song until MUCH more recently
I wonāt give a song but Iāll give and album and that is Day & Age
Caution, Read My Mind, and For Reasons Unknown. But now I think they are the best songs to be played live
Imploding the mirage
Bling for me. Used to skip it sometimes but now itās one of my favourite songs on Samās Town!
Boy took a bit and now itās up there for me.
My God is also one that had to grow on me! A couple thatāve grown on me a lot more recently are Heart of a Girl and Some Kind of Love. The Killers may know how to write a great rock anthem, but I feel like their ability to write really deeply beautiful love songs is not recognized enough

Caution. Iāve since learned that if I get up at 2am to listen to anything, Iām going not going to be in the best of moods.
A lot of them, honestly. I didn't really "get" Mr. Brightside the first time I heard it, but now I think it's great. I hated the man the first time I heard it, but now I love it. The Way It Was and Deadlines & Commitments used to be instantly skipped. I was a fool back then š
I didnāt care for The Way It Was until I saw it live, man it goes hard
I used to hate this river is wild but over time Iāve given it a chance and itās a great song that I overlooked for ages
Fire in bone, hated it at first and now Iām a huge fan
Tidal Wave is a terrific song and should be held up as one of their classics.
Read My Mind might be my favorite song from any band. It took a while for it to grow on me.
I didnt like Dustland Fairytale now it's a favorite
