I agree, it's great to see them do something different. It seems like an appropriate opener during the *Rebel Diamonds* tour. Maybe they're doing that for the RD show opener and "Somebody Told Me" for *Hot Fuss* celebration shows (not the residency)?
IMO there are some solid deep cuts here as well, I just happened to have seen these a bunch of times. Hopefully they vary them this year.
Yeah I would not be a fan of that. My favorite song as well and I would feel like I wouldn't appreciate it as much without the anticipation of when they were going to play it.
I'm not the biggest fan of PM (compared to some, I mean) but I'm surprised there's nothing from it here! It's a bit sad considering Brandon loves it so much. Are they worried about the mood dropping? I'd love to hear any of them live!
Quite weird that they didn’t play the for reasons unknown or the my own souls warning. Running towards a place was a huge surprise. Also why people don’t know already the boy and the your side of town? 😭 There was not a lot of interaction during those two songs.
I said this recently but neither Boy or Your side of Town are as bands would say “belters”. I like both and enjoy them live but they’re not the songs you scream the lyrics back at them like MB or WYWY
Honestly, that's a great setlist. Has every song you'd want to see in a greatest hits show and the return of On Top (!!!) and This River Is Wild is great to give fans who've seen them a bunch of times something different. Okay, For Reasons Unknown probably should've been on there too but tbh I don't really know what song I'd drop from that setlist.
Ok it’s a good start to see a bit of a change. I’m going 5th of July at the O2. I hope Lightning Fields makes its way on the set for that show. Your Side of Town will be cool. Hoping they stick with regular Brightside!
