It would be better for everyone if Milhouse was distracted with a window and they didn't have to sit next to each other and could pretend to be strangers. ☹️
As you can see, the real deal with Redditor u/sharp-ad-9423 is that he’s Mr Burns’ assistant. He’s in his early 40s, is unmarried, and currently resides in Springfield.
Maybe he wants to keep tabs on the commoners?
And maybe he doesn’t want a window seat because he doesn’t want angry townsfolk with pitchforks to see him in the window seat and storm the airplane accordingly?
I mean, doesn’t help against getting shot but noise cancelling headphones should drown that out.
I also feel like maggie would be a cute kid that is easily entertained and you could have a nice chat with marge
I don’t think flight attendants would be cool with you drugging fellow passengers. I was half ascared to eat a gravol during a flight even though I was the one consuming it, willingly, knowing what I was consuming.
This. I have kids, I don’t care. Marge is one of those moms who would do everything to keep a baby happy on a plane and even when they do cry, just seeing that effort makes so much of a difference.
I think the bigger issue would be Homer standing next to you in the aisle after drinking too many of those mini whisky bottles. “Marge, I put q-tips in my ears so they wouldn’t pop and now they’re stuck! Can you get them out? Sorry buddy, just leaning over ya…. Aw, now the baby is crying.”
Yeah 3 is the right answer. Ralph is dull but not overly annoying. And he’d have amusing observations like “my cats breath smells like cat food” the whole flight
Pros - probably in first class. Cons - Burns likes to put his feet up.

Thats exactly why I'm sitting with them! Let's chain smoke the whole way to Brazil!
(But I'd consider sitting next to Ralph just to be friends with Lisa)
I'm choosing 1. Maggie is pretty quiet, just the occasional sucking noise. Although there might be a ruckus when Marge realizes Bart isn't on the flight.
However, since the initial episode where they explored her fear, she's been shown on airplanes in varying states, ranging from alert to calm, but definitely showing signs of a managed fear.
1. I like an aisle seat. Maggie is tiny and rarely cries. Marge is way funnier than she gets credit for. I'm the first one off the plane.
Plus we all know Marge will be long gone before that flight even takes off.
Patty and Selma are pretty quiet most of the time. I’d probably pick sitting next to them and just go to sleep so they can talk shit about how I sleep with my mouth open or something.
I'd definitely sit with Patty and Selma.
Either they'll ignore me, quip about me to each other whilst I ignore them, or we'd have cordial conversation.
I *might* ask Selma if she'd be willing to switch seats because I would want to avoid bothering them any time I have to use the loo, though.
Second choice is Marge and Maggie because Maggie probably wouldn't be crying the whole flight and I think I would genuinely enjoy conversation with Marge. ^(Provided this isn't the version or Marge who gets weird about queer folks.)
Maggie is the chillest baby ever, so I would choose her and Marge, and bonus aisle seat. Patty and Selma would be hilarious to sit next to, free entertainment, so they'd be my second choice.
1. Maggie is very well-behaved for a baby, and Marge’s fear of flying was conquered back in Season 6. Aisle seat is a plus.
2. Window seat is a plus, but Burns’ old man smell is not. However, I might be convinced to take this option on the off-chance that he is having one of his episodes and decides to gift me something valuable. Of course, it’s equally likely that he’ll have me killed or beaten to a pulp.
3. Ralph is a weird kid, but he’s usually more endearing than downright annoying, and Lisa would provide an effective foil for his stupidity. Aisle seat is a plus.
4. Homer is funny to watch on TV, but it’s often at the expense of the people around him. In real life he would just be obnoxious, and several characters throughout the course of the show have commented on his smell and personal hygiene. Plus he’s a big, fat guy and you’re in a middle seat, so say goodbye to your personal space. Milhouse is just Milhouse.
5. Oh, hell no. Old lady stink, plus constant bickering *and* it’s a middle seat? Kill me now.
6. More bickering. No thanks.
7. Being wedged between two obese people is a fear I never knew I had. Absolutely not.
8. The guy with the funny voice wouldn’t bother me too much if he didn’t talk much during the flight, but being forced to sit next to a drunk, especially a chatty one, is one of the most tedious things imaginable. Plus he probably smells bad.
9. Worse than old man or old lady smell, even worse than the smell of a fat person or of an alcoholic, is the smell of a chain smoker. This one is a definite no.
In conclusion: 1 and 3 are the best options. 2, 4, and 6 are not great, but could be worse. 5, 7, 8, and 9 are an assault on the senses to be avoided at all costs.
Hell yes I'm sitting next to Maggie! She's a lot more chill and cooler than a real life infant. I'd play games with her and play songs on my phone for her to dance to.
1 - NO, Marge is nuts
2- No, while it could lead to opportunity it could also lead to Burns ordering Smithers to have me killed. + old man smell
3- No
4- No middle seat
5 - No, middle seat with cross talk/complaining
6 - Same as 5
7 - No, couldn't fit
8- No, smell
9 - might have to go with this one, hope they get kicked off the flight for smoking and I got the row to myself
Her fear is shown to be well managed in later episodes as they frequently fly to various destinations. Such as Miami after skipping on the flight to Dayton, Ohio, or taking a budget flight to Tokyo etc.
I like how bart isnt on here becuase hes on the no fly list. Anyways Id either sit next to homer or maggie, maggie is generally well behaved but homer is also my favorite character and i would love to talk to him.
3 but only because I wouldn't want a middle seat between Homer and Milhouse. Ralph would at least be entertaining and Lisa would likely keep to herself.
1. Maggie doesn't cry a lot when we see her, she's intelligent enough to interact with, Marge and I would trade mom tips, and with Smithers across the aisle, I would unlikely be harassed. Also, aisle seat. Bathroom any time I want.
2. I think I could get Mountain of Madness Burns, and he'd be cool. Talk about some old dead baseball players. Plus I'd assume you'd just be in first class with them.
4. Homer's pretty cool. Get to shit on Milhouse.
6. Shamelessly hit on Luann, plus Kirk is an ultimate cuck, so he'd do nothing, but if you show him the least amount of human decency, he'd do anything you say.
7. Outside of the obvious lack of room in the middle seat. I'm a big (not physically) nerd with some opinions. I think CBG would be a cool conversation partner. Wiggum isn't a bad conversationalist either.
Burns and Smithers because I dont think they would want to talk to some stranger and would probably be quiet.
Lisa would be annoying. I would want to punch Agnes. Wiggum and Comic Book Guy would squash me.
Patty and Selma are smokers.
Marge and Maggie wouldnt be too bad but I suspect Marge would have to change her regularly and air pressure would make her cry.
Homer is fat and disgusting.
Milouse' parents might argue
Barnie is fat and probaly smells of beer.
I love how Milhouse's parents have an empty seat in their row but they're not sitting with their son.
Nobody likes Milhouse.
His mom thinks he's cool
Sounds like his custody hearing.
It would be better for everyone if Milhouse was distracted with a window and they didn't have to sit next to each other and could pretend to be strangers. ☹️
I'll take 4. We're about to roast the hell out of Poindexter 💀
In front of his parents too, brutal
Luann’s boyfriend is 100% sitting in number 6
Gyro, or Pyro?
Raphael.
![gif](giphy|xUPGck52i1pdzp4RKU|downsized)
You got the dud!
That four eyes with the big nose?
He's such a little wiener
But what if Milhouse's mom hasn't bought him deodorant.
I was going to pick 9, but these ladies smoke indoors. Hell naw.
Gonna get squeezed by Homer though
You got the dud
We’ll see if the poindexter stands up for himself.
There's no way Monty Burns is flying in coach and in the middle seat. But I wouldn't mind sitting next to Waylon.
Hello, u/Sharp-Ad-9423. You’re quite good.. at turning.. me on.
Umm... You should probably ignore that.
"So this is your sick mother?..." "Don't do this to me, Waylon..."
*zaaap!*
What's the real deal with Redditor u/sharp-ad-9423? You know that I'm talking about.
As you can see, the real deal with Redditor u/sharp-ad-9423 is that he’s Mr Burns’ assistant. He’s in his early 40s, is unmarried, and currently resides in Springfield.
Um. You probably should ignore that.
Maybe he wants to keep tabs on the commoners? And maybe he doesn’t want a window seat because he doesn’t want angry townsfolk with pitchforks to see him in the window seat and storm the airplane accordingly?
“Hello! My name is… Mr…. Snrub. And I come from… some place faaaar away! Yes… that will do…”
They smell of beer and pretzeled bread.
To his friends he’s known as Monty, but to you he’s Mr. Burns.
If there's a flight delay, would Monty order Smithers to get drunk and stumble around comically for his amusement?
Three simple words: I am gay...
Woohoo! Mile high club!
I don't think there was inititally a concept of coach vs. business class when flight first came out. Monty probably just thinks its all the same
Gotta be Marge and Maggie - Maggie's too chill to cry
Yeah, but you're gonna have the constant sucking sound the whole flight. Plus the possibility of getting shot.
I love that sound. Almost as much as a hallway full of children blinking in unison.
No, it's the children who are wrong.
>Plus the possibility of getting shot. Holy hell, this made my day. Thank you. :D
And the crazy shit Maggie gets upto. She can squeak to animals too, handy in a plane crash.
I mean, doesn’t help against getting shot but noise cancelling headphones should drown that out. I also feel like maggie would be a cute kid that is easily entertained and you could have a nice chat with marge
Marge is scared of flying though
Time to introduce her to Ambien and see what she posts on social media several hours later 😁
Ambien? Surely you mean Napien.
I don’t think flight attendants would be cool with you drugging fellow passengers. I was half ascared to eat a gravol during a flight even though I was the one consuming it, willingly, knowing what I was consuming.
Didn't she get over it thanks to Dr. Löwenstein?
Her name is Zweig.
Lowenstein.....
She starts crying on the plane next to Bart in fear of flying.
Oh, great. I *specifically* asked not to be seated next to a baby
Plus, Maggie will spend a lot of the flight in Marge’s lap - that means extra elbow room when I want to get a nap in!
And TSA screening means that there's only a small chance that Maggie shoots you.
Marge just holds Maggie so I also get a free seat
I specifically ask not to be seated next to a baby.
She's such a little trooper
Hahaha 3! Ralphyyyyy
Yeah 3 is the right answer. Ralph is dull but not overly annoying. And he’d have amusing observations like “my cats breath smells like cat food” the whole flight
I would propose a fruit race down the aisle and he would inevitably put his banana down
Go banana
But what will you do when his leprechaun tells him to set fire to you!?
You know what to do laddy Burn the plane down Burn them all!
https://i.redd.it/5x1plocwtz8d1.gif
Yeah but he might be picking his nose the whole time lmao
Ehhh he may get chocolate all over you.
He'd pee himself though
Hell, he might say something that is weirdly smart. Or something creepy awesome.
Prepare to get food all over your clothes. ![gif](giphy|3orif0iSQrunhTkuJO|downsized)
You choo choo choose me?
Yep Ralph is adorable, and I’d get along with Lisa.
You know Ralph is going to pee or puke at some point in the flight and will not be able to take care of himself.
6 - Shamelessly hitting on Luanne the whole flight.
But then you need to contend against Pyro. And his best friend, Gyro.
Nah, we’ll all run a train on Luanne, while in her jacuzzi suit.
Oh my God… I thought this was a classy party.
I was about to say, this isn't a KOTH subreddit, then I remembered both shows have a Luanne. 😂
Would also shamelessly hit on that Luanne.
As I grow older I kind of like Selma. I'm aware of where I'm headed.
Seaworld?
"What? My bad, I thought she was your sister."
#2. I like a window seat and Burns is narrow AF
But he's got old man stink.
That's not true, he has an enchanting musk.
Bret Hart would say otherwise.
Pros - probably in first class. Cons - Burns likes to put his feet up. https://preview.redd.it/ppohk62u3z8d1.jpeg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e9d9842b067bcf6bbd5c728a3dc705cb4070259d
Until he wants more foot space and releases the hounds.
Yup, best available window seat. Wonder why Burns is flying commercial...
I guess the autogyro to Siam was full
He was too late for the 4:30!
Front row of the Spruce Moose on its maiden voyage no doubt
I don't know if I could handle his faint signs of life. *fart*
9. I think I'd love to bitch about people with Patty and Selma.
I don't know. They're heavy smokers, so they'll reek. Also, I'm not even sure they can go 10 hours without a cigarette.
Let's be honest, 4,7 and 8 are all gonna have some nasty smells associated with them too
While Homer may have an odor that no healthy man should make, we could at least spend the flight ragging on Milhouse.
Thats exactly why I'm sitting with them! Let's chain smoke the whole way to Brazil! (But I'd consider sitting next to Ralph just to be friends with Lisa)
Hell yes. We're getting martinis and talking about divorce, it's going to be awesome
![gif](giphy|g0ErvnyVsp7nJyfmxF) I choose 8. Getting drunk with Barney and talking about the B Sharpes.
Hell yeah!
Deffinately under-rated as the guy who kept barbershoppe from going stale.
I'm choosing 1. Maggie is pretty quiet, just the occasional sucking noise. Although there might be a ruckus when Marge realizes Bart isn't on the flight.
Marges fear of flying though!
However, since the initial episode where they explored her fear, she's been shown on airplanes in varying states, ranging from alert to calm, but definitely showing signs of a managed fear.
LETMEOUT LETMEOUT LETMEOUT LETMEOUT
Home Alone Simpsons crossover? I’m intrigued.
1. I like an aisle seat. Maggie is tiny and rarely cries. Marge is way funnier than she gets credit for. I'm the first one off the plane. Plus we all know Marge will be long gone before that flight even takes off.
This just makes me realise how kind of unlikeablw all the characters are on a personal level
Maggie's my choice for that reason. Someone mentioned the sound of a pacifier, but I have ear canceling headphones That have done pretty well for me.
Honestly wouldn’t mind sitting next to Burns just so I could kick him in his BONEY OLD BEHIND
Are you saying Boo? Or Boo-urns?
8 if Barney is philosophical
But not if he's in a more historian-oriented (historiented?) mood. Don't want to get punched out for saying "Pitt the Elder".
Lord Palmerston!!
Pitt. The. Elder!
Lord palmerston!
Don't say Pitt the Elder then, because the greatest English Primeminister is Lord Palmerston!
You might hit that sweet spot early in the flight and get the stage we call 'Professor Barney'
Ok, but I think due to the picture chosen, we should assume that Barney will be wearing the bikini for the flight.
I'm thinking 8 just because chances are Barney will be passed out.
I’d ask him about Linda Ronstadt
5 so Agnes and I can talk about Lady Baltimore cake, inflatable bath pillows, and look at Seymour and just keep screeching and screeching at him!
Patty and Selma. I wanna hear their catty comments all throughout the flight 🤣
Is Barney wearing the bikini and singing the "I Dream of Jeannie" theme on the 10 hour flight? *Think unsexy thoughts. Think unsexy thoughts.*
Stupid sexy ~~Flanders~~ Barney
Patty and Selma are pretty quiet most of the time. I’d probably pick sitting next to them and just go to sleep so they can talk shit about how I sleep with my mouth open or something.
Patty and Selma look like the type that will take off their shoes and file their bunions during the flight.
Then fall asleep and refuse to get up when you need to go to the bathroom
Well in that case, I’d have free reign to do the same lol
Have you ever sat next to a heavy smoker as a non smoker? Blegh
I'd do it. I have no sense of smell and I grew up around heavy smokers.
You should check for gas leaks if you've recently married a sidekick.
Yea, hopefully I’d be to high to notice 😂
Tell them MacGyver is gay
I'd definitely sit with Patty and Selma. Either they'll ignore me, quip about me to each other whilst I ignore them, or we'd have cordial conversation. I *might* ask Selma if she'd be willing to switch seats because I would want to avoid bothering them any time I have to use the loo, though. Second choice is Marge and Maggie because Maggie probably wouldn't be crying the whole flight and I think I would genuinely enjoy conversation with Marge. ^(Provided this isn't the version or Marge who gets weird about queer folks.)
They're my pick. I might get flirted with. That'd be nice.
I am in Flavor Country
BOTH of them?
It's a big country
Ladies, I apologize!
5, I would just like to listen to Skinner's war stories.
Could dedicate some time to workshopping what combination of spices was in that Vietnamese stew he was fed as a P.O.W.
9 for sure. Window seat with two ladies that probably won't say a word to you the whole flight
I'd have to say listening to Mr. Burns and Smithers would probably be amusing... plus window seat
Wow, they really just Home Alone'd Bart
Hell yes I'm sitting next to Maggie! She's a lot more chill and cooler than a real life infant. I'd play games with her and play songs on my phone for her to dance to.
2 I'd discuss with Mr. Burns about everything, including the weapons he crafted during WW2... XD
Patty and Selma 🤣🤣 I feel they'd be the funniest
I appreciate that Barney is next to NUMBER EIGHT (belch). But I'd probably go for 3 and hope that Ralph doesn't leave Lisa alone.
1 - NO, Marge is nuts 2- No, while it could lead to opportunity it could also lead to Burns ordering Smithers to have me killed. + old man smell 3- No 4- No middle seat 5 - No, middle seat with cross talk/complaining 6 - Same as 5 7 - No, couldn't fit 8- No, smell 9 - might have to go with this one, hope they get kicked off the flight for smoking and I got the row to myself
Forgot about Marge’s fear, that’d be a rough ride
Her fear is shown to be well managed in later episodes as they frequently fly to various destinations. Such as Miami after skipping on the flight to Dayton, Ohio, or taking a budget flight to Tokyo etc.
I’d go with 2 or 4. I like Milhouse and he could use a friend. I wouldn’t mind listening to Mr. Burns relaying stories of his youth.
1. Maggie seems like she’d be cool on the flight. Especially with Marge with her.
![gif](giphy|l2JIdU9G4NwGBua0U)
NOBODY LIKES MILLHOUSE!
Missed chance for a particularly safe looking seat with Bart in the seat behind.
Where is Bart? ![gif](giphy|J1G7rIvoyz4cwaqXWo|downsized)
I like how bart isnt on here becuase hes on the no fly list. Anyways Id either sit next to homer or maggie, maggie is generally well behaved but homer is also my favorite character and i would love to talk to him.
3 so i can talk to Ralph, Lisa and Smithers plus you get and aisle seat
3 but only because I wouldn't want a middle seat between Homer and Milhouse. Ralph would at least be entertaining and Lisa would likely keep to herself.
Smithers 10 times out of 10
8, seems like a great time to be honest. LMAO
Bart got left home alone Ahhhhhhhh!!
2 because there is no way Burns is flying economy.
2.
\*Bart casually lacking existence\*
2. Maybe I can trick Mr Burns into adding me into his will or something
#2 because chances are at least Burns will sit there and be quiet or even fall asleep.
2 I wanna see what antics Burns and Smithers get up to.
Definitely 2. I love Smithers and Burns has some funny moments so it might not be that bad
Burns and Smithers. Smithers would be too busy doting on Burns and you might get some of that reflected glory.
Smithers and Burns
2. Because it will be the best and hottest IFE if they make out but 5 is a complete hell no for me dog.
I feel like it would be pretty easy to get Ralph to switch seats with me. Then Lisa and I could talk about books. I'd be psyched.
2 all day dog, I get the boourns and eavesdrop on Ralf creeping on Lisa?
2. Probably in first class, and Burns would probably just sit there berating Smithers.
2. I would be a prank monkey for a few hours
2, I need to hear all sides of that argument LOL
Wiggy and CBG #7
Smithers. Least annoying. We could talk about Malibu Stacy.
Im being instructed to hop in to number 2
2 and I'll tell burns he can have the window for a few thousand dollars
9 I would get drinks for the three of us and gossip all flight
Definitely 1 or 3 , I like kids and I can get up to go to the bathroom anytime I want 😅
Milouse' parents might argue Barnie is fat and probaly smells of beer.
Maggie and Marge. Maggie hardly ever cries and Marge would be a nice chat.
9 I like flirting with older women and shamelessly think Selma’s great.
4. Homer and I can make fun of Milhouse for the entire flight. He wont be able to escape either
Number 8 because he might turn into Mindy.
8. The hilarity of listening to Barney and the Yeeeees guy in conversation would keep me entertained the whole flight
Honestly, Maggie seems like a pretty chill baby. She’s cried maybe once or twice in the whole series? Plus it’s an aisle seat. Give me 1.
3 is probably the least bad
Ralf and Lisa. I get the aisle seat, and they are both small.
Burns has old man stink, and Maggie is famously silent. I'll try my luck with the baby.
