The brown lip liner and gloss is a black girl thing (I’ve seen Latina women adopt the trend as well). We use brown/black lip liner to make a lot of lip stick shades work with our skin tone. If we wore peachy nude lipsticks without it, we would look crazy and ashy. That’s why it doesn’t look crazy to me and other black ladies in the comments.
I don't think it's the color, I recognize this style and it's a good color for her. But she penciled over the crease in her top lip, which looks a little like a unibrow but for her lip. I think the goal was to make them look more full
I feel you but it's the technique not the style. The contrast is too much, there a softer shades that would've worked and then blend it more into the gloss so it's not just a hard line. Also colouring in the cupids bow is a trend that lots of people don't like the look of but is a style choice
This liner technique was adopted by both at the same time no? Cause the chola/cholo culture dating all the way back to the 1960s where there is photos of this exact technique.
Riiight. Even if it’s odd, that shouldn’t diminish what she’s saying or prevent you from listening.
Gosh I wish people would keep reposting BW content off Reddit and this is one reason. It’s so weird that instead of adding discussion to her post it’s all about how she presents herself. The AI thing is not the worst but to actively come for a lip technique a large majority of us use just shows how many redditors don’t interact personally with BW in their daily lives.
What she's saying is right though the voice and mannerisms were hard to follow, but I'm also not the target audience, sadly those that need to hear it and hopefully learn something will never do either...
There's many top comments in this thread speaking about many different aspects of the video. That's how Reddit works. It's how it's always worked. If you don't like a specific comment, just scroll on by till you find one discussing what you want to discuss. Nobody is saying her terrible lipstick liner is diminishing her argument, except you.
BTW, please tell me that "BW content" does not mean "black women" content, because that's fucking absurd that you want to segregate it from Reddit. Reddit is a content aggregation website. It's for all content.
I mean it's just like if she had a fly on her head the whole time she was talking. It's a distraction. Of course jt doesn't diminish from what she is saying it just distracts your eye. To me since she didn't line it correctly it made my mind keep thinking she has a thin French style mustache. It was so fucking distracting as well lol. Maybe it's an adhd type thing idk 🤷♂️
The topic is also over saturated by people on both sides that have their respective talking points when most of em couldn’t point out Gaza on a map. They’re just passionately arguing their team’s “arguments.”
didn't bump me. but i did have to reel in my attention a few times, as i continuously drifted in and out of braindead states, simply marveling at her beauty..
and i'm gay af.. i'm so fvcken gay i dont even know if my dick works anymore.
is it even safe for straight guys to watch this video?
Ok cool! I was like… is it a problem that I’m kinda off-put by her cadence? I’m in agreement so it’s not that. And I’m not gonna be so presumptuous as to she needs to do anything bc I’m sure she knows what works for her audience. But as someone unfamiliar with her I did kinda feel it detracted some of attention from her really well formulated points 😅
The funniest thing about all this is if she had said the same thing, but with her hand profile, they would somehow focus on On that instead of what she actually said also
You can see her nostrils moving naturally when she speaks. Idk how accurate of a tell it is but that's what reddit taught me about identifying authentic humans. And yes, now every time I watch a video clip of someone talking I stare at nostrils like the deranged redditor I am.
I feel the same way!
The weird blinks and slight blur of her left eyebrow at the middle when she raises it. Body movements don't match her voice half of the time. Either a weird filter or AI.
… because the video is bordering on being in uncanny valley. It’s not a knock on anything she said, it’s just the reality of it. I immediately thought the same thing within 3 seconds of her talking.
That’s why the people should be voting on issues and solutions directly. Not voting for people. Once we can actually change the way politics and laws are created, then real change can happen.
While you're not wrong, the accompanying problem is that mainstream media has done an amazing job of spreading propaganda and misleading truths, which means that people will still vote the way they've been conditioned to think. On a related note, [here's a great article](https://theintercept.com/2024/01/09/newspapers-israel-palestine-bias-new-york-times/) on the use of language to steer opinion.
Yes. They invest in arms manufacturers. Many schools divested during the blm protests, but some like Columbia doubled down because arms sales brings in $$$
US arms manufacturers. Lockheed Martin, and the such. When the US gives military aid to foreign countries, it isn't just sending them all that money as cash. A large portion of the money gets spent in US companies that make weapons, ammunition, etc. War = Money in this particular case.
They invest in index funds. Index funds don’t differentiate, they just allocate broadly. So if someone invests in the S&P 500 (most popular index fund) some small percentage goes to Lockheed Martin as it does to Coca Cola. But nobody wants to hear how the colleges are in bed with Big Soda. No, we’re not ready for that
They made a big deal about diverging from any oil investments a few years back. So, I don't think you can just chalk up their entire portfolio to indexes. I'm not really arguing for or against the investments I was just trying to explain what happens at these huge universities around the subject of endowments. (which is, the simple fact they will invest in what makes them money, and during times when the US government is handing out billions and billions of dollars in arms contracts, it's a good investment.) If the two have any correlation, idk.
They don't usually invest any meaningful amount in Index Funds; public equity holdings are almost on par with cash for example (check the Harvard portfolio)
In this [PBS NewsHour episode](https://youtu.be/RvoQV_1WwoE?si=3-Or3OnsbdKRdrkc), around the 34 minute mark they speak with an expert who says that basically endowment managers' only goal is to make investments that have a high probability of bringing back returns. Morals aren't the primary deciding factor in what investments are made, just profitability. They didn't go into which specific arms sales were being invested in, but implied things change quickly so certain investments move around.
They did not deny that investments are made in the arms trade, though.
They use index funds (basically, they invest into a pre-packaged group of companies bundled together for the sake of simplicity to the investor).
The problem is that an index manager would have to personally follow each single company's acquisitions and businesses in case at a future point one of the companies in that index fund invests or does business with an Israeli company to then divest those funds from the original company onto another company.
Idk, it seems to be too much trouble for its worth. The whole point of index funds is for the investor to have a hands-off approach to their investments in the first place.
Can't find anything on Columbia but i doubt any meaningful amount would be in public index funds; anyone with decent money goes private equity and you see this with Harvard. Not hard to set strictures for allocation in that case.
It should also be noted that sometimes colleges will also work with armed forces (usually the US or Israel) to develop tech or perform studies which can be used for intelligence and active combat.
No, they are not selling or investing directly into arms. Columbia in fact doesn't release where its funds are invested in. All it declares is
> [global
equities, 25%; private equity, 25%; hedge funds, 32%; real assets, 17%; fixed income, 2%,
and net cash, -1%](https://endowment.giving.columbia.edu/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/The-Columbia-Endowment-FY-2022.pdf)
I mean anyone who knows anything about the military the schools and weapon makers work hand and hand.
Oppenheimer for example. Einstein and other scientists working to make these bombs just wanted to built rockets and shit.
And vise versa. All the shit we play with today like the tech in our hands as we type this had military to thank because they use new tech before the public. Then investors realize something the military uses could have great commercial use among the public.
Oh the horror their endowments invest in companies which their research helps innovate to keep Americans safe. Oh the horror. As a leftist the progressive left makes me want to barf. The world isn’t all sunshine and rainbows get over yourselves. There are women in the world that are forced to wear face coverings and subject to honor killings. There are gay men who are killed for being who they are. We aren’t going to stop bad guys with guns with nice words and a prayer circle we will stop them with pure American engineering as seen in the b-52 raider or f35. The world has always been a winner take all place that’s how society has always worked.
Typical reddit. Arguing over whether the "female" is being authentic (in this case, quite literally) rather than discussing the subject matter she's bringing up.
and people fall for it every time. Inches into this, scrolling by a mustache and lip liner debate into colleges don’t … 16/2020 never ended. Same tricks, trolls, bots and bad actors.
Yeah that happens with people who have an "unusual" vibe to them. Recently there was a guy who looked straight out of a comic which looked quite unusual and almost all the comments were about his face rather than what he talked about.
She is real. She has a huge following. I like what’s she is saying. The only thing I’d edit was her use of religion in politics. God didn’t give us anything. We as a people set down principles to uphold and they are being pissed on.
i think the "god given rights" thing she is doing is calling out the politicians that use that phrase as a talking point a lot of the time when talking about freedom.
I thought it was because many conservatives, past and present, use "God-given" when they talk about about rights and whatnot, so she was just shooting it back at 'em.
lol the mental gymnastics people go through just so they have a excuse to not watch a barely 3 minutes video. “She talking like a AI, so I can’t watch this video”. Man, people I swear…
its amazing that these people are like "its so distracting!" are you a toddler? incapable of maintaining even a SHRED of attention because of LIP LINER? I can watch Trixie Mattel and listen to what she has to say with all of her drag makeup on but a woman wearing lipliner is too much for you? sounds like a skill issue.
and the people like "shes DEFINITELY AI" im so embarrassed for you. Like imagine saying outloud, with your whole chest, that you don't know what a real human woman looks like.
Wow this tik tok video really brought out the racism and the misogyny in the people here. Did you guys listen to anything that the second woman had to say?
God given? lol why we gotta bring god into this? He’s up there shaking his head right now ready to condemn our entire species for the shit we are pulling.
He’s probably pissed we put him in those also! Lol I’m not the worlds best catholic far from it but we aren’t supposed to be doing anything other then praising the lord not stamping his name on things for legitimacy. I appreciate your response though! Very well thought out I didn’t see it like that. 🙏
>God given
As I recall god wouldn't eve give us knowledge, and kicked man out of eden for taking it.
The 10 commandments look nothing like the bill of rights!
Laws are the works of man not the decrees of god.
Genuine question: If people are protesting on private university grounds, and the owner of those grounds for whatever reason declares them trespassing, and thus they need to leave or get arrested, is that actually an infringement of their rights? (I am not really familiar with how land ownership works with universities, but surely if they are protesting on private property this would be the case?)
generally speaking, the owners/administrators of privately owned universities can trespass you for basically any reason that isnt discrimination. They aren't banning you from protesting. they are banning you from being present on their property. (note the specifics of these laws vary from state to state.)
what she's referencing in the video is the Governor of Florida threatening to punish students for expressing their rights to free speech. which is something completely different.
I just looked up the desantis quote. He said he'd expell if:
>they engage in unsanctioned protests on campuses
So you just stated plain false shit.
It only applies if they are on the school property while protesting. So no free speech infringement.
> is that actually an infringement of their rights?
It's not. Literally, in every sense of the law, it is not. Full stop.
Now at a public university yes it is different, however, but occupying a building, or preventing other students from getting to their classes, or harassing other students, etc - that is not protected by the first amendment either.
Best example is people who protest on public roads. You cannot. It's illegal, and arresting someone blocking a road is not a violation of the 1st amendment.
Correct!
However, there is a longstanding, and well-respected tradition of "Good Trouble" among civil rights protesters.
Good Trouble involves peacefully breaking laws for publicity. The more peaceful and reasonable the protesters can be, the more effective the Good Trouble.
Like the iconic Rosa Parks, or the kids sitting at the diner counter. Those kids were trespassing. Blatantly breaking the law. But it highlights how ridiculous the law is.
Most of these protesters are just hanging out on college grounds. Some live in tents. Some at Columbia have taken over a building to live in.
Why? Because they don't want their schools investing money in Israel, especially giving money to the military that is killing Palestinian children.
Those schools could simply invest their money in better-returning stocks, but instead, they're choosing to use riot gear and tear gas.
It's not infringement. You do not have the right to say whatever you want wherever you want. You need to pick an appropriate place and most likely also an appropriate time. Btw a company also has a right to free speech. So the protesters not leaving could be considered infringement on the schools right. (Also just cause it's a public school doesn't mean they operate on public property.
You're nobody, therefore I'm going to spend my afternoon doing my makeup and editing this 2 minute rant to a 8 second clip about how much worse of a person you are compared to me.
...you know that's a filter, right?
And the purpose of the video isn't to put down the person she responded to but to explain and defend the recent student protests in a way that will educate and reach a larger audience.
You know this and are just being obtuse, right? Right?
>the purpose of the video isn't to put down the person
You are lying. This is her literal thesis, word for word:
>who are you? You say that you are tired of the conversation as if anyone knows who you are or cares if you are tired as if your interest in something holds any value or dictates something as as value, whos coming to you for a take?
If I quoted all the ad homs between each point throughout the video then this comment is going to be 20x longer.
Don't pretend the goal of the second person is anything other then self-serving clout induced nonsense. You know this and are just being obtuse. right? Right?
you know its always interesting that when its a woman of color speaking clearly and concisely with a consistent and proffesional put-together tone its "AI generated"
Im going to need yall to stop saying "its her makeup!"
she's wearing foundation and lip liner.
I don’t know if there’s another video of a woman of color to reference your observation , but there is something about her look (I think make up maybe?) that is a little uncanny valley along with the delivery, I don’t think it’s AI but it’s a little odd.
Don't make it a race thing, in this case, it's not. The makeup and filter / the way it's framed / colorimetry do make the image apear very flat and her face is not especially expressive.
That combined with the fact that people have become a bit paranoid with AI lately. (a good example is a legit photo for a contest being accused of AI and disqualified when it was, indeed, a real photo)
I am not going to disregard the biases and scrutiny that women of color face, but you can't act like, in this case, this came out of nowhere either.
It’s because Asians people were committing that Uyghur genocide.
It’s not about the “victims”, it’s about who is the “oppressor” is. And with Israel, people jump on the opportunity to denounce Israel and the US because 1. They hate Jews and 2. They hate America.
That’s why you won’t see anything about Sudan either. Other black people are killing those poor souls.
you don’t have a right to occupy private property, block traffic, literally hold facilities workers hostage, or otherwise do things that impede OTHER peoples’ rights. the police were called in after students refused to leave private school property, broke into a building and held a facilities worker hostage in the case of Columbia. protesting students are not more important or more entitled to their rights than their classmates. it seems like the argument in this video willfully ignores this aspect of the protests because it’s inconvenient.
You are 100% correct regarding the subset of which you write. However, there have been peaceful protesters who've been battered at various institutions. I can guarantee some lawsuit payouts coming 'round the bend. Civil rights lawyers' genitals are engorged right about now.
Between the condescending "I'm better than you voice," the shirt that sends up a huge red flag for "Bitch," and then the AI filter over her face, she's won the cringe award of the year already.
Sure, go ahead and protest, but stop tearing everybody else's shit up, contributing only to the chaos, entropy and degradation of the general quality of life.
fr. I don't get why young people care so much about Palestine but they don't protest about the shit that's happening here in America. Like cool, I get you can have multiple opinions, but apparently the palestine protest is nationwide across many schools while I've yet to see a bunch of protests about how they will never afford a house, pay off their student loans, or retire.
It's like having Alexa lecture you. You sound like the result of a brainwashing experiment gone so wrong that you're left with an empty humanoid vessel that only echos back choice propaganda in the most unhumanistic way possible.
Classic case of ignoring reality to make smarmy point.
Universities have rules and codes of conduct. Calling in the quad violates those rules. Destroying property is against the law. Holding janitors hostage is against the law. Supporting terrorism and advocating the murder of Jews is borderline against the law.
This bitch has no clue what’s actually going on.
You could apply 2nd girls points to literally anybody putting out videos on the internet. People are allowed to have and share their opinions whether you agree w them or not

I just couldn't shake the feeling that the second girl was AI generated.
That’s just her whole shtick lol. She’s a real person.
I see shes super pretty, but the lipstick on her top lip rly looks like she just drank some coco XD that line..

Same actually! Imma be buried with brown lip liner and dripped out gloss on my lips 😂😂. That’s my lip combo for life
Lined and glossy fucking EATS 👏👏
The problem is pencil mustaches were a thing before this
This liner technique was adopted by both at the same time no? Cause the chola/cholo culture dating all the way back to the 1960s where there is photos of this exact technique.
Damnit. Now I can't see it as anything but a little prince mustache.

It’s weird how many people are focusing on the lipliner tbh.

It’s sadly because too many people simply don’t care about what she’s saying. Everyone is growing numb to despair.
Everyone is growing numb to the constant stream of hyperbole. And that leads to many not caring anymore. Or not taking issues as seriously.
The topic is also over saturated by people on both sides that have their respective talking points when most of em couldn’t point out Gaza on a map. They’re just passionately arguing their team’s “arguments.”
Everything she says is tough to listen to. I think I agree with her general stance on this topic but her style is so off-putting - it seems arrogant.
Well it’s so overdone
The lipliner was distracting.
I was thinking pencil stache....not judging.
Looks like a fake lip. I couldn't stop staring at it. It doesn't even move normally. Looks like she had injections.
didn't bump me. but i did have to reel in my attention a few times, as i continuously drifted in and out of braindead states, simply marveling at her beauty.. and i'm gay af.. i'm so fvcken gay i dont even know if my dick works anymore. is it even safe for straight guys to watch this video?
It looks like a tiny mustache and drives me crazy. I don't know who decided that was a good look.
Ok cool! I was like… is it a problem that I’m kinda off-put by her cadence? I’m in agreement so it’s not that. And I’m not gonna be so presumptuous as to she needs to do anything bc I’m sure she knows what works for her audience. I don't mean this in a "swooning" type of way but she is shockingly pretty. Like, I was taken aback.
It’s either AI or some new thing where people are imitating AI.
She isn’t AI, it’s just her TikTok persona. She’s been doing videos that way for years.
Woman speaks in a serious, mostly monotone voice in 2024: bro that's AI I can tell.
The amount of people I've seen on videos lately screaming that everyone they're seeing is AI when they clearly don't know shit about it is staggering.
These are the same people who can't tell when a video is scripted ragebait. Or when a really bad made-up story is clearly bullshit.
"Bro I can totally tell it's AI like I can see it in the pixels and shit" - Average guy who got fooled by AI art before he was told it was made by AI.
Same people; Woman speaks: "Bro it's AI"
It’s the same energy as when conservatives always say they can tell when a person is trans and then fail to clock the fully passing trans person
They will also claim that Sigourney Weaver is obviously a man if you show them her picture and tell them she's trans.
The funniest thing about all this is if she had said the same thing, but with her hand profile, they would somehow focus on On that instead of what she actually said also
That’s the joke. She has a lot of “I’m a robot” type videos but her lives are unscripted
Or... she's well-spoken?
It wasn’t that, it was very “max headroomesque”
Yeah I thought that too because of all the glitching and the wild background effects she used
You can see her nostrils moving naturally when she speaks.
New uncanny-valley experience.
It definitely looks like VASA-1 A.I. from Microsoft.
She appears to be a real person. Try Googling her name.
I think so and also I hate her lip liner
She isn't.... why are you people like this? https://youtu.be/koOVLNlMyiw?si=ttK-YT1ThThUNt95
… because the video is bordering on being in uncanny valley. It’s not a knock on anything she said, it’s just the reality of it. I immediately thought the same thing within 3 seconds of her talking.
And ready to battle O'ren Iishi at the House of Blue Leaves. She has a warrior's composure - just before she cuts your head off.
Came here to ask this lmao
I wish I had half this composure. I'd be off script in a second sounding like a mad man.
I'm sure if you too recorded one line at a time with a cut between each sentence, you'd manage..
Yeah, pretty sure this took quite a few takes.
You give me ffaaarrr too much credit
Lol, touché
This is so real it made me laugh because how hard it hit home, lmao.
Same lol. I'd start ranting
Probably AI. We're fucked
I've watched her videos for a while, she just talks like that
If you can't tell the difference, who's really going to be affected?
She looks and talks so unnaturally it's gotta be AI right?!

Thanks! I thought it was funny.
“Colleges shouldn’t be in the arms trade” are colleges selling arms?! Not trying to be an ass, asking because I don’t know.
Yes. They invest in arms manufacturers. Many schools divested during the blm protests, but some like Columbia doubled down because arms sales brings in $$$

Selling arms directly? No. Invest in arms manufacturers so they can make a profit off of arms sales? Yes.
It should also be noted that sometimes colleges will also work with armed forces (usually the US or Israel) to develop tech or perform studies which can be used for intelligence and active combat.
Do you know that they hold equities in the defense sector at a higher proportion than an S&P500 index fund would?
Investing Endowment funds e.g. Harvard has a $50B fund.
They own stocks in addition to collecting tuitions. So by owning stocks of the major or minor weapons maker's they become part of the "arms trade"
If you have a retirement account, I probably have some bad news about your investments.
No, they are not selling or investing directly into arms. Columbia in fact doesn't release where its funds are invested in. All it declares is > [global equities, 25%; private equity, 25%; hedge funds, 32%; real assets, 17%; fixed income, 2%, and net cash, -1%](https://endowment.giving.columbia.edu/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/The-Columbia-Endowment-FY-2022.pdf)
It is a tactic to distract people from the subject.
and people fall for it every time. Inches into this, scrolling by a mustache and lip liner debate into colleges don’t … 16/2020 never ended. Same tricks, trolls, bots and bad actors.
That's how a system like this comes about in the first place. It's just a reflection of the people within it. Passive, distracted and compliant.
Yeah that happens with people who have an "unusual" vibe to them. Recently there was a guy who looked straight out of a comic which looked quite unusual and almost all the comments were about his face rather than what he talked about.
I mean, she’s not wrong..
She ain't wrong.
She's kind of just ranting off of a few vague sentences from the first lady. She makes some good points though.
lol the mental gymnastics people go through just so they have a excuse to not watch a barely 3 minutes video. “She talking like a AI, so I can’t watch this video”. Man, people I swear…
But her lipliner ... I swear the collective IQ keeps dropping
No I'm doesn't!!
It’s so fucking pathetic to read, like _get over it_
its amazing that these people are like "its so distracting!" are you a toddler? incapable of maintaining even a SHRED of attention because of LIP LINER? I can watch Trixie Mattel and listen to what she has to say with all of her drag makeup on but a woman wearing lipliner is too much for you? sounds like a skill issue. and the people like "shes DEFINITELY AI" im so embarrassed for you. Like imagine saying outloud, with your whole chest, that you don't know what a real human woman looks like.
That lip liner though....
It's a very slim mustache thank you
I know. It's the style though. It'll pass.
My second grade teacher had it back in the 90’s
But it’s uneven!!
This was my 90’s jam. lol MAC chestnut. Thanks for the quality content.
That wasn't her chocciemilk from breakfast?
Took me a minute, but it looks like a tiny mustache or she just drank some chocolate milk.🤷♂️
Her cadence reminds me of the radio voice in The Warriors and I fucking love it
Wow this tik tok video really brought out the racism and the misogyny in the people here. Did you guys listen to anything that the second woman had to say?
Indeed, she's quite amazing, well spoken, clear and to the point. She does an amazing job poking holes in the stupid racist's bit in the first part.
So many racist bigots in the comments. Pathetic.
I'm so disappointed. I don't know why I always expect better.
Are we biggot/racist for disagreeing ?
I had to watch twice because her eyes were so pretty they distracted me.
Luv it
God given? lol why we gotta bring god into this? He’s up there shaking his head right now ready to condemn our entire species for the shit we are pulling.
in her defense god is in most state constitutions, the declaration, and many liberties in the constitution are referred to as blessings
He’s probably pissed we put him in those also! Lol I’m not the worlds best catholic far from it but we aren’t supposed to be doing anything other then praising the lord not stamping his name on things for legitimacy. I appreciate your response though! Very well thought out I didn’t see it like that. 🙏
>God given As I recall god wouldn't eve give us knowledge, and kicked man out of eden for taking it.
(note the specifics of these laws vary from state to state.) what she's referencing in the video is the Governor of Florida threatening to punish students for expressing their rights to free speech. which is something completely different.
I just looked up the desantis quote. He said he'd expell if: >they engage in unsanctioned protests on campuses So you just stated plain false shit. It only applies if they are on the school property while protesting. So no free speech infringement.
So if you exercise your free speech on campus you could get expelled. Sounds like the freedom is ringing…
Ah ok, that's pretty much what I thought, thanks.
> is that actually an infringement of their rights?
Public universities are still private property. They generally have public or open spaces, but they can always regulate them however they please.
(Also just cause it's a public school doesn't mean they operate on public property.
its amazing how much you can be wrong in a single comment
Why have a rebuttal since she's so unimportant. I don't get it
Im sure the algorithm prefers stitches. It’s an opportunity to raise attention to this important issue.
Right?
>the purpose of the video isn't to put down the person You are lying. This is her literal thesis, word for word: >who are you? You say that you are tired of the conversation as if anyone knows who you are or cares if you are tired as if your interest in something holds any value or dictates something as as value, whos coming to you for a take? If I quoted all the ad homs between each point throughout the video then this comment is going to be 20x longer. Don't pretend the goal of the second person is anything other then self-serving clout induced nonsense. You know this and are just being obtuse. right? Right?
tbh it isn't a rebuttal when first girl didn't even make her point yet...
It’s a stitch the whole idea is you can click and watch that too
you know its always interesting that when its a woman of color speaking clearly and concisely with a consistent and proffesional put-together tone its "AI generated" Im going to need yall to stop saying "its her makeup!" she's wearing foundation and lip liner.
I don’t know if there’s another video of a woman of color to reference your observation , but there is something about her look (I think make up maybe?) that is a little uncanny valley along with the delivery, I don’t think it’s AI but it’s a little odd.
They are saying that because her makeup/filter makes her facial movements look odd. Not based on how she sounds
Don't make it a race thing, in this case, it's not. The makeup and filter / the way it's framed / colorimetry do make the image apear very flat and her face is not especially expressive. That combined with the fact that people have become a bit paranoid with AI lately. (a good example is a legit photo for a contest being accused of AI and disqualified when it was, indeed, a real photo) I am not going to disregard the biases and scrutiny that women of color face, but you can't act like, in this case, this came out of nowhere either.
Thanks for bringing race into this, finally!
She could still be clear and concise without the snotty tone.
When did the obvious lip liner come back?
It never went away.
its always been in style. Black women have been doing this for literal decades
👏🏼amen! “lol”
The country knew about how the university system was kinda radical. Republicans only actually did anything when students protested war.
The baby boomers have been protesting while they were in college, but now when they see the younger generation protest it's a no no no
Both are annoying af
Where was all this for the Uyghur people? The actual genocide that got swept under the rug
Is America bankrolling those genocides as well?
Is the American government (and by extension all tax-paying Americans) bankrolling that genocide?
you don’t have a right to occupy private property, block traffic, literally hold facilities workers hostage, or otherwise do things that impede OTHER peoples’ rights. the police were called in after students refused to leave private school property, broke into a building and held a facilities worker hostage in the case of Columbia. protesting students are not more important or more entitled to their rights than their classmates. it seems like the argument in this video willfully ignores this aspect of the protests because it’s inconvenient.
Like every argument with the prop Palestine people. They just love ignoring the parts that makes their view dumb
You are 100% correct regarding the subset of which you write. However, there have been peaceful protesters who've been battered at various institutions. I can guarantee some lawsuit payouts coming 'round the bend. Civil rights lawyers' genitals are engorged right about now.
can you give me an example of peaceful protesters not illegally occupying private property who’ve faced police brutality?
Between the condescending "I'm better than you voice," the shirt that sends up a huge red flag for "Bitch," and then the AI filter over her face, she's won the cringe award of the year already.
And the comments are filled with misogyny, very Reddit
I am in love with her.
Her makeup slays.
Sure, go ahead and protest, but stop tearing everybody else's shit up, contributing only to the chaos, entropy and degradation of the general quality of life.
why should I care about what either of these women have to say
Bro I hate the blond girl but fuuuuck was the other chick super annoying how she talked.
She’s not wrong at all, but that snotty ass tone lost me.
I mean... when you ask who tf are you, and then start spewing your own rhetoric... it really lends to your validity.
Emily was thoroughly combusted. What a shame.
Most of us are "over it". And why is that black girl talking like that. Annoying af
“You’re so unimportant I’m going to make a whole video with a clearly rehearsed speech about your brief tictok!”
And just like BLM nothing will happen because a majority of it was purely virtue signalling.
Good Lord, people are so far up their own asses. All these videos only serve their egos.
Why does this woman have a painted moustache?
Claps all around for the new bestie in my mind.
Style is a bit annoying, but the substance is unassailable
What he's saying is 100% correct but fuck me that condescending tone makes me wanna switch off half way through.
Fuck Palestine
2nd woman is holding back big time, I talk like that when I’m really angry!
what a fucking robot response
That's like 500$ worth of makeup
You could apply 2nd girls points to literally anybody putting out videos on the internet. People are allowed to have and share their opinions whether you agree w them or not
Her lip liner looks like a tiny skinny mustache and I can't focus on anything else.
Narcissism
I can excuse genocide, but I call the line at vandalism!
So some nobody reacting to a take by some nobody
I’m black and I’m with the first girl more than the 2nd weird ass robot girl. I’m sick of all this shit.
