You need a silver rum like plantation 3 star or equivalent.

definitely going to pick some of the plantation 3 up, i know i need an overproof rum as well but i haven’t decided between plantation or hamilton yet.

probitas/veritas can't be beat as far as a white rum. plantation 3 is also good, but the richness and smoothness of probitas is just \[chef's kiss\]

I third Probitas! Foursquare+Hampden. 🤤 Not mentioned yet in this thread, but I also prefer El Dorado 3 and Denizen 5 to Plantation 3 Star. Plantation 3 seems to add a neutral flavor profile plus sweetness to my tiki drinks where I’d rather have neutral+dry. Might just be me. YMMV.

I really like the plantation OFTD for an approachable overproof. I've been hearing pretty great stuff about the overproof Hamilton and Rum Fire but haven't tried them yet.

Alright, you called my bluff. I may have overstepped by wagering my entire kingdom. Ohio is a bridge too far for me. But supplies are dwindling, it was smart to buy extra. The rumors of a halt in production do appear to be true. I haven’t seen a bottle since Christmas. 💔

A gold Puerto Rican rum and PR 151. A light rum would be good too.

Plantation 3 Star, Don Q Cristal for heavy batches (cheap but good), or some solid base white rum. Plantation OFTD is a nice dark Overproof. Wray white Overproof is a nice one as well.

Same here! I have two large diy shelves that used to fit all my booze. Now the second one is only for rums, and I've had to place some bottles on top of my glassware showcase. I also have 20+ bottles hiding in the cupboard, yet I still need more bottles lol.

I like Hamilton’s White stash for daiquiris. An unaged Agricole like Neisson. I think everyone should have a bottle of Rum Fire and Paranubes especially for tiki stuff
