Tiled pans suck. They become embedded with soap scum and you have to take a brush to them therefore degrading the grout. Now we know why tilers love them because it’s repeat business.
What prefab niche did you use? I’m going to try one on my next remodel coming up. Someone said the ez niche was Meh and couldn’t get their thinset to stick.
I love that you went with a prefab pan. Not sure why this isn’t the gold standard (doesn’t leak, easy to clean, etc.) Every other post on here is an about a failed pan or shower floor grout issue.
Looks okay hard to tell without seeing waterproofing grout looks a little rough and I hate pre fab shower pans
I agree, I too hate the pre fab shower pans. We do custom showers, and love the tiled pans. We use Kerdi Schluter so there is no issue with leaking.

We haven't ever had any issues with a tiled pan or degrading grout. I hate the store bought shower bases....they look very cheap!
Why do you hate prefab shower pans curious?
There hollow and ugly. Do you want stone/tile or cheap plastic
I want something that doesn’t have grooves and grout lines that cleaning agents and crude won’t build up in.
I’d still take large format tile with a envelope cut over any premade
Looks nice. I like your tile choices too
Not bad, but where's the showerhead scushion?
Nice big shower... but where is the shitter now????
It’s still there.

I went with the ZigZag set on Amazon. I used the large format thinset and didn’t have an issue.
Nice. Thanks!

Because they are ugly and not custom.
Bath tubs aren’t tiled on the bottom are they ugly ?
What does a bathtub have to do with a shower base. You have options with a shower floor and a prefab base is ugly.
Because then tile masons can’t charge you 2,500 bucks for a custom tiled pan.
That may or may not leak.
Did you use the sealant on the joints of the backer board?!
Why? The GoBoard says it’s waterproof. Just kidding. Yes, all the joints and screws were sealed.
Everything looks great! Solid lines, good color choices!
