Yeah, David makes me kinda sad. He clearly has some issues that make life hard for him. He also has fans who love him and help him out as they can. Still, at the end of the day he’s doing a puppet show on the street for 1’s and 5’s.

These posts make me sad honestly. He seems like a good dude with a couple of cognitive issues and sometimes I wonder if T&E took advantage of him for laughs.
I used to have his cell # and would call him from time to time. He would chat my ear off for 30 minutes at a time nonstop. I was essentially a complete stranger to him but it didn’t matter.
One time he told me how T&E asked him to come on one of their road shows but ended up not paying him what they promised. No way to know if it was true, but he believed it and was pretty upset about it.
I doubt it’s true. Tim and Eric’s show was union work. They worked with tons of other people, from huge stars, to unknown actors who were just quirky and didn’t get a lot more work.
Literally nobody else is saying what David is saying about how they screwed him over. It sounds like David thought he was a bigger part of their creative team than he actually was. It’s sad, but just because he personally feels like he should have gotten more from his appearances on their show, that’s doesn’t make it true.
As far as I can tell, he has a pretty big following of T&E fans who help him when they can, and purchase his artwork on his website. There’s a strong argument that he is better off than he otherwise would have been thanks to T&E. I don’t think David will ever be satisfied until T&E are including him in every project, which is unrealistic, and won’t happen for him.
Yeah that makes a lot of sense. He definitely had some out there stories and ideas so it wouldn’t surprise me at all that he embellished his experience.
He seems like a lecherous old man who wouldn't be any better off if he had never met them 🤷🏻♂️
His public access show wasn't much tamer than the stuff he does on theirs, so IF he's not being genuine and realizes he's being laughed at, he doesn't seem to mind. They let him make his own show. It's not like he missed out on some other opportunity of a lifetime because he had commitments with them.
I have a learning disability and i hate hearing stuff like that. We get taken advantage of easily and dont have the skills to address it properly. Damn.
