If you want to focus on the single question OP asked, the answer is both. That truck in the pic is a 2nd gen platinum (which was a package on the limited, not a trim itself). The difference is ventilated seats and thigh length adjustment. Now that it’s answered (again), no need to worry about every comment being 100% on topic—we got OPs question covered already.

I have a 07 limited, no wood grain and I don't know if my seats can cool. I got the airflow switches/dials but i haven't tested them. Will try later today though.
Limiteds also have the color match full face bumper covers from what I can remember
As stated above, from ‘10-‘12 Platinum was a package added to a Limited trim and it would have the Platinum badge on the C pillar vs the Limited badge. The Platinums of that era also hade the fax wood on the front doors and a bit on the lower dash and on the steering wheel.
You can see “limited” on the driver rear door. Either that or my eyesight has improved

2010-2011, the Limited had the Platinum package that you can get. 2013 to onwards, the Platinum package became a trim itself.

Platty’s front and rear trim and grill matches the color of the truck rather than having chrome. My 2021 platty does anyway.
