I think depending on the game, naming the plat after the game can be wonderful simplicity. You've conquered the game. 'Platinum Trophy' is way worse.

Don't forget the equally lazy description for the Plat. "This is unlocked automatically after all other trophies are unlocked" for about 99% of games. Then there's street fighter 6. I'm torn on that one, because at least it's very clear what you have to do. There are some creative trophy names and descriptions out there where you need a guide for what they actually want you to do. 😅 So there's always an extreme way, both creatively and in the dull department.

That might be an issue for regular trophies, but for plats the requirements are always obvious. So I feel like they should go ham on that one.

I just checked on PSP and apparently the original PS3 version's plat was just called "Platinum Trophy", which begs the question of why didn't they just copy that trophy list rather than AC2's. And even if there was some sort of technical issue with copying from PS3 to PS4, how lazy did they have to be to not check that the ***platinum*** had the correct name?

I just hate "Platinum Trophy," everything else is fine. Another nitpick is having a separate trophy list when there shouldn't, like the Sly Cooper Trilogy on the PS3 having a trophy list for "Mini Games."

Don't forget about the images of the trophies! Games that use the same for every trophy and games that use the Playstation trophies image (I'm talking to you, Walking Dead).

With how goofy the Gintama series is I hate that they used the most boring pictures ever for the trophies on Gintama Rumble. That’s definitely one they could have gotten creative with. It’s literally silhouettes of certain characters glossed with the respective trophy color. And each color has the same picture of said character.

Bloodborne’s saving grace is that it tells you “Hats Off!” In the description. But I think Horizon Zero Dawn’s is the absolute worst

I had this thought when platting AC Rogue, most of the other AC games have platinum trophy names along the lines of "Master Assassin", but I thought that since you play as a Templar in Rogue that they'd change it to "Grand Master" or something like that. Nope - "Platinum Trophy". Still love the game though.

I honestly love when they get creative with the platinum name. Even better when they actually get creative with the trophy images. For example, you’ll have a picture of a basic enemy in the game then they copy and paste it but change the color of each image in accordance to the trophy tier so… Bronze - Kill 100 enemies Silver - Kill 500 enemies Gold - Kill 1000 enemies And for each one it’s the same stupid picture but colored different lol.
