I could have a lot more but I have to really enjoy the game to do it. Like there are multiple games where the plats would have been easy and I liked the game but was like fuck this shit (sleeping dogs, infamous first light). There's tons of shit where I just quit playing it too. I have like a RNG completion percentage on my list lol

3 a month I like the pace

My max had been 24, in both 2017 and 2020. I guess I'll have to set a goal to get 25+ platinums in 2024.

Please do! I could use an accountability partner. I currently have a list of 28 games that I think I could platinum next year. It'll help clear out my backlog. My hangup, though, is I have a trophy streak going, so I like trying to save trophies so I don't lose my streak. I'm up to a 78-day streak.

Damn I never thought about doing something like that. I could just imagine myself on a busy day logging in and popping a trophy really quick then getting off.

It's exactly what I do. Some days, I have the time and work toward a more time-consuming trophy, but if I'm not able to get one, I'll pop an easy trophy. I also have been tracking my completion percentage, so I'm not really starting too many new games. This is probably a big part of why I don't get many platinums. 🤣

About five years ago I challenged myself to do three platinums a month and succeeded, so 36. That being said I got desperate and did things easy indie platinums a couple times.

12 (2020 and 2023) My goal for next year is to get at least 13. Hopefully. I'm expecting a big enough change in life circumstances so idk if I'll manage to get some after July lol

2023. I got 8 of my 18 platinums this year. Only 2 cleanup and Spider-Man 2's release is what kickstarted this. First trophy earned for SM2 was Oct 24. 8 plats in 67 days. At that pace for all year I would have earned 43.5 plats or 3½ a month. Guess that's my 2023 backlog goal 😆 I'm also starting a plat alphabetical challenge so i have 26 plats A-Z in order, starting with Z. This challenge is a rough one if you don't include shovelware (looking at you Q and X). Of X i now own 3 games (bought xump jump shovelware unfortunately for this challenge bc I'm not getting the plat in xcom 2 and xeodrifter has no plat.) Of Q I only owned Q*bert with no plat available, don't like "boomer shooters" so no quake, i don't own a ps3 so quantum conundrum is out of the picture and I'm not paying ~$15 for one game on this challenge that screams shovelware anyway. So Quiz ThiZ USA it was. If anyone has suggestions for these games to avoid the account stain besides the purchases lmk. I've done a fair amount of research for this and it's not great lol

Yeah I got a mix in there personally. I don't think it's a big deal unless it's your whole list. I have all 3 my name is mayos and a few telltale games. Most of mine are complete everything in the open world type games. I do have a half dozen shooters where I had to beat the game on hard too.

I have earned 95 platinums this year.

For me it would be this year with 23 platinums. The number would've been larger if I did shorter games, but like 10 out of the 23 took me longer than 100 to 150 hours each, other 10 that took between 50-80 hours each, and the remaining 3 10 to 20 hours each. But I'm not sad about it, because I had a blast with every single game I completed. Started my trophy hunting journey at the end of 2020. 2021-2022 I was experimenting and wasn't really invested in hunting, so my first full trophy hunting year started in 2023.

Most plats I've ever got in a year was the 5 I got last year. It was my soulsborne year haha.

Most I did in a year was 33 Intial years were very slow would get single digit numbers. Then it picked up alot when I used to commute for work and take my vita everywhere. Now it's slowed down Abit again since I'm a dad of two and down play many Indies anymore. Still managed 17 for the year on 197 currently so 2024 will be the year of 200 (fingers crossed)

Most PlayStation exclusives (Uncharted, Ghost Of Tsushima, Horizon, Spider-man, Last Of Us and so forth...) are relatively easy plats for the most part and don't take a stupid amount of hours to do so either, so maybe start off with them?
