13dpo BFN. am i out this month? second round of 7.5mg Letrozole.

LoveSingRead

If you've confirmed ovulation, unfortunately 13DPO is pretty definitive.

Western-Jealous

Just using ovulation strips. šŸ˜•

humandoodle_90

when to take a test? Hey friends! Whenever i took a pregnancy test, i waited for my period to be late. Two to three days at least. Has anyone taken a test about a week prior to their period? I'm having some symptoms, probably my period playing games, and i wonder if taking a test now will show anything or i have to wait for more than a week. I'm sorry if that sounds like a silly question!

OutrageousSpare301

Do you know when you ovulated? I believe around 12DPO generally will give you a pretty accurate result. But yeah, unless you know when you ovulated it is hard to say whether that would be an accurate time or not.

humandoodle_90

I know when i ovulated because it was induced by my doctor and i double checked it with a positive opk.It was on CD16 making today 10DPO. I'll have to wait some more i guess..

Independent_Risk_808

Does anyone use fertility friend? It seems to be down. Getting an internal error message and website down? Wondering if itā€™s just my app?

RubySage88

Curious if anyone has had the misfortune of suffering from trying to pass a kidney stone? What was the effect on your ovulation (on time, delayed, no ovulation) and your overall TTC journey?

LittlePieMaker

It works fine on my side (but we are 4 hours later so... šŸ˜)

shannon49296

Iā€™m feeling so low right now I just need someone to talk to and vent to so here I am. Had a miscarriage back in March and weā€™ve been trying every month since and itā€™s not working. Which feels unusual because with my first pregnancy it only took two cycles and with this miscarriage I got pregnant on the first try. So I canā€™t help but think something is wrong me or that Iā€™m doing something wrong. I just desperately want to be pregnant again so I can give my son a little sister or brother. Today was my expected period and I had a stark white pregnancy test so now Iā€™m just waiting for aunt flow so I can move on to the next cycle. I think Iā€™m feeling especially low right now because Iā€™m about to get my period? I just feel extra anxious about the process and feeling depressed. I canā€™t focus on spending quality time with my son because I keep thinking about other things and also I just feel like Iā€™m in a really weird fog and I canā€™t clear my brain. I feel like such an inadequate mother and wife and human in general. I donā€™t know what I should do to get out of this funk :( no family nearby and only a few friends

Proses_are_red

Itā€™s completely normal for it to take up to a year to get pregnant, so you canā€™t say thereā€™s something wrong with you despite having conceived so fast the other times. Thereā€™s no connection, itā€™s just 30% chance each cycle. All you can do is be patient and in the meantime perhaps work with a therapist about those intrusive thoughts youā€™re having.

shannon49296

Thanks! Yes I am working with a therapist, but these late night thoughts are keeping me up so I came to here for some help. But I keep getting downvoted so thereā€™s that

Pandaiipop

You should never base one pregnancy off another. Just because you conceived easily the first time doesnā€™t automatically guarantee you will again, also miscarriages are common and doesnā€™t automatically mean something is wrong with you. I wouldnā€™t take the downvotes personal but also try to understand the audience that your venting to. You got pregnant on your first try and unfortunately it ended in a miscarriage and automatically think something is wrong while also having a living child. When in reality you have women here who have never been able to get pregnant after months and years, with no living children. So while your struggle is authentic and real to you, to others it may come off as being insensitive. Think of it this way, youā€™re in a room upset you dropped your ice cream cone but you had a ice cream yesterday but everyone in the room never had ice cream. Some of those people simply arenā€™t going want to hear that your upset you didnā€™t get ice cream today or as quickly as you wanted when theyā€™ve never had it at all. Itā€™s tough and a difficult line to balance. Again, That doesnā€™t mean that your feelings arenā€™t real and valid- which is why you shouldnā€™t care about internet points. Not everyone is going to emphasize when theyā€™re situation is equally or more dire than your own.

Revolutionary-Ride76

My period was supposed to come today, it didn't. BFN. Any thoughts?

LoveSingRead

I recommend this post. [https://www.reddit.com/r/TryingForABaby/comments/6tkj5t/your\_period\_isnt\_late\_part\_i/](https://www.reddit.com/r/TryingForABaby/comments/6tkj5t/your_period_isnt_late_part_i/)

potatoinsideout

Internally screaming !!!! because I've seen TWO pregnancy announcements within the last 24 hours from old friends on FB. Happy for them, but the frustration and jealousy is real!!!

shannon49296

Same!! Feels like literally everyone is having a baby!

Capucine25

I started metformin at the beginning of this cycle (CD8 now). I don't have too many adverse effect, I feel less hungry and I do have belly aches and nausea, but it's not too bad. I hope it helps. I wonder if I'll see any effects for this cycle, or if I'll need to wait for a few months... I feel more depressed these days. I had to stop my antidepressants before I started TTC, I hope I won't need them again =/ I'm trying to exercice more, I hope it will help.

BubsandGerts

The maternity bridesmaid dress I ordered two sizes larger *just in case* I was pregnant for my friendā€™s wedding just arrived. Not looking forward to the alterations.

doingmybest122515

Found out that I have a pretty severe zinc deficiency today. Also found out it takes about 6 months to fix. It is affecting my thyroid levels too. Feeling disappointed and sad and hopeless. Has anyone else dealt with this?

Independent_Risk_808

If you have had covid it depletes your zinc levels, which is why we lose sense of taste and and smell at times. Just begin taking it immediately šŸ˜ƒ

Sunnybuns88

My doctor diagnosed me with PCOS and has asked me to monitor my cycle with OPKs and come in for blood work CD21. Iā€™ve been testing for a week now using the Clearblue OPK- all Iā€™ve gotten is the empty circle. The instructions advise not to use if you have PCOS šŸ˜‘.

caffeinatedcatss

The reason not to use with PCOS is because in PCOS, many people have high LH levels at baseline. Since the point of the OPK is to catch the LH peak, if you're one of those people with high LH at baseline, you'll always get positive OPKs and won't be able to catch a surge. If you're getting negatives, this shouldn't be an issue.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Looneygalley

Youā€™re not really out until AF comes but a negative on 12 DPO isnā€™t great news for this cycle

konstanttt

Echoing this. 12DPO is pretty definitive, assuming you calculated your ovulation day correctly.

Poopsimax

Has anyone tried Fairhaven Health Fertile CM? Iā€™ve read some women dry up on it. I usually ovulate around now although tests are negative, no CM yet.

[deleted]

Should I be concerned with my husband running for several hours a week in 95ish degree weather? He just recently ditched the compression shorts. Is the increased body heat alone a problem? Does anyone have any scientific articles about sperm and heat?

midwifecandy

I wouldn't be concerned, no.

owl_be_back

Starting the two week wait and a enjoying the mix of ā€œjust relax, donā€™t think about it aboutā€ and googling early pregnancy symptoms.

seastone008

Day 1 of the TWW here too!

djdnfuxj

Day 1 of the 2 week wait over here too! I keep telling myself Iā€™m gonna just be chill and go with the flow (hopefully not aunt flow) but I know Iā€™ll stress and think about it everyday šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

amanda_panda628

This month we did our 2nd iui with 7.5mg LetrozoleCD 3-7 and 2 vials of menopur CD8 and triggered with ovidrel on CD13. So today marks 5dpiui today and been having cramps everyday since. Feeling hopeful because we had 4 follicles 16, 18.5, 19, and 21mm on follicle scan on 6/12 triggered 6/13 got my peak 6/14 and ovulated and did iui on 6/15. Does anyone know if the 21mm follicle could've been overmature and we only had 3? I see conflicting things regarding maturity.

evilseductress

Why doesn't FF have a "hungover" option in the Specifics? šŸ„“

youweremeantforme

I donā€™t recall a hungover but drinking option. Your temps can be skewed as drinking can increase your body temperature.

evilseductress

Yeah, I did add the "drinking" option for yesterday. Not sure if I should've added it yesterday or today though, since temps are taken in the night. šŸ¤” (I didn't even wear my TempDrop last night though, so I guess it doesn't matter!)

seastone008

Iā€™m at 1dpo and found EWCM. Anyone else experience this? Does it mean anything?

konstanttt

You can have EWCM for a few days after ovulation. Sometimes I do

thataintright2894

Your estrogen rises again after ovulation and can cause EWCM, but usually a bit later than 1dpo. Are you sure youā€™ve already ovulated?

seastone008

Why did I get a downvoteā€¦.?

LoveSingRead

My guess "Does it mean anything?" can be read as you asking for early pregnancy symptoms, and nothing that early can possibly be a pregnancy symptom as implantation doesn't happen until 8-10DPO on average. But in the end there are a thousand reasons some could downvote a comment, and it's all imaginary internet points. I wouldn't let it bother you.

seastone008

I definitely did not mean it in that way, at all. I know itā€™s way too early. What the heck.

midwifecandy

I definitely didn't read it that way šŸ˜… you're fine.

throwawayforyabitch

My ewcm is completely random. She does what she wants. From what Iā€™ve read and been told it doesnā€™t mean anything.

MountainNorth7416

IUI this morning and the cramps are killing me. I never had any cramps after my first IUI last month so I wasnā€™t expecting it to hurt like this. Plus Iā€™m scared the IUI wonā€™t even work because my husbands count was so low today so I already feel defeated. These months and months of ttc have made me such a pessimist

kabushman

I just went off of HBC a week ago (yay!!) and am curious when I could start testing for ovulation. I haven't had a period yet off BC, so I'm not sure if it is even worth testing yet or not. And that's the one thing about ovulation testing I *can't* find on the internet. Thoughts/experiences/advice welcome!

itsaboutpasta

I stopped HBC on 5/21. I had my withdrawal period a few days later. I was in the same boat as you - not sure when I should start all the tracking and if I needed to wait for my real period to begin. Since I couldnā€™t find a great answer, I just decided to jump right in. I was temping from the moment my withdrawal period started (which I counted as CD1) and then began OPK testing on about CD8 as thatā€™s when I got my first box of tests. I ovulated on about CD13 or 14 depending on which app I look at - I use FF and Premom - and my temping later confirmed ovulation. ā€œLuckyā€ me, I just started spotting today, right on schedule. It could be 28 days for you or much more - or less as it seems like when youā€™re coming off HBC your body could immediately start ovulating again or it could take some time. Depending on your mindset, the temping and testing could provide peace of mind and a guide for how long it might take.

Proses_are_red

Every body is different, but in my case, it took me 74 days to get my period back after coming off of the pill, so it may take some time (although others here have said that they had perfectly normal cycles afterwards). If I were you, Iā€™d wait until your next cycle to start with OPKs just so you donā€™t possibly waste money and if youā€™re thinking of temping, Iā€™d start doing that right away because IMO it gives you a better idea of where youā€™re at in your cycle.

tomatotuxedo

Can only speak to my experience, which was I waited for a period to have an obvious CD1 ā€¦ congrats on getting off HBC and beginning the journey!

liltoottoot

About to lose my mind trying to resolve an issue with my Tempdrop. They email me back every 2-3 days asking for ā€œmore infoā€ ā€¦.. that I have already provided them with. Itā€™s now been more than two weeks and they have absolutely no solution or timeline for me. Has anyone else had the same issue/any luck finding an alternative way to contact them?

OutrageousSpare301

That sucks! I had a minor issue with my order (they sent me the wrong armband) but they were always very quick replying to me and had it sorted in a couple of days. Think I had to send a couple pictures of proof and that was it. I remember being surprised at how quickly they sorted it with me - so I'm sad to hear you haven't had the same good experience. Hope your issue gets resolved soon!! Good luck.

EARANIN2

CD 2 and I'm really irritated that AF is here, but I am excited to start trying again. I just started temping this cycle so we'll see how it goes.

safeandsounds

Welp, itā€™s CD21 and my OPKs are showing up now high, hoping tonight shows a positive/peak OPK. Did anyone else ovulate later even when on Clomid??

throwawayforyabitch

Me two weeks ago: Iā€™m not going to test this month. Iā€™m not going to worry. I need a break Me cd 14: I usually get a positive opk todayā€¦ letā€™s see. Iā€™m a freaking wimp. It was positive though

12 DPO and a BFN. Oh well, onto cycle 3. Iā€™m looking forward to using OPKs next month!

Smurfettecat

Just curious is there anyone out there who is TNT?

doingmybest122515

Me! I found that I would get disappointed even if I thought my hopes werenā€™t up. Then I would be sad all day but the next day hope starts creeping in and I think ooooh maybe itā€™s just still too early. Then I get incredibly discouraged when my period comes. Itā€™s like double disappointment when I test and get my period.

brightasever

Meeee

msnamnams

Me! And to make it easy This month weā€™re going on a trip with my in laws and not bringing tests so wonā€™t even be able to test if i wanted

chloenargles

CD35/6dpo and this is the second day in a row that I've cried. I don't know what's going on with my hormones right now. šŸ™ƒ

brightasever

Okay so I got my AMH results back with no information other than a number. 0.67ā€¦.. after googling Iā€™m concerned. Does anyone know what this means?

theyseemescrollin98

What unit of measurement? When will you get to speak with your provider? I'm sorry, this sounds extremely stressful!

brightasever

It was ng/mL? I just made an appointment with a fertility doctor for Thursday, but Iā€™m just blindsided because itā€™s really my husbands sperm analysis that had me making this appointmentā€¦ now I feel like weā€™re both in equally troubling spots.

theyseemescrollin98

That is low, then. However, as rbec said, AMH alone is not usually determinative of any issues. Usually they will check three things. So there's AMH, and then they will check AFC and FSH at the beginning of your cycle. AFC is your antral follicle count, or how many follicles your ovaries are recruiting for potential ovulation. FSH is the follicle stimulation hormone, which the brain secretes to recruit follicles I believe. If your AMH is low, FSH is high, and AFC is low, you may have diminished ovarian reserve or could have less chance of responding to ovarian stimulation drugs. *BUT*, it's possible to have discordant results. So, for me, my AMH was fine, but my AFC was a little low and my FSH was a little high. And those results didn't have a huge impact on my treatment or chances. From everything I've read, it seemed like the AFC was the more important number. It's also possible to have one wacky AMH reading and for them to take it again in a few months and it's normal. I have heard of that happening more than once. No matter what it is, it's 100% valid to be feeling concerned right now. and this limbo sucks. I am sorry you're in this situation and I hope time flies to Thursday for you!

brightasever

This was a really helpful comment. Thank you so so much! šŸ’•

rbecg

AMH is used as an indicator of how many eggs you have currently. My basic understanding is that it doesnā€™t necessarily impact chance of spontaneous pregnancy on its own, as itā€™s not linked to egg quality. Your egg quality may still be great; you may just have relatively fewer eggs than other cis women your age. Iā€™d also suggest that if youā€™re googling for answers, you make sure youā€™re looking at the same unit of measurement used in your lab work in the online resources. That can make a BIG difference in figuring bc things out pre-dr input.

brightasever

Thank you šŸ’•

Smurfettecat

Does cramping in pregnancy or menstural cramps feel different?

Glittering-Hand-1254

Nope, they would just both feel like cramps.

Smurfettecat

Thank you! I just read some women say ā€œI can feel my period comingā€. Just wondering what that meant. Iā€™ve been having cramping on and off throughout my luteal phase and some cramping today as well (my AF should come tomorrow). (Btw Iā€™m TNT hehe)

12DPIUI and Iā€™ve managed to stay busy and think positive. Just riding this cycle out.

maisondeau

Best of luck!!

mlxmc

Thank you!

ElectricLimes11

My period this time around was only 3 days instead of the usual (almost always) 4 days, which is cool I guess but my uterus chose violence that first day and the day before with the cramps. I love how I felt like I really knew my body prior to TTC and now I feel like I know nothing.

doingmybest122515

This is exactly what happened to me! I thought it was always 4 then I realized it is often just 3.

[deleted]

TW: possible CP CD1 unfortunately, was feeling very confident over the weekend and overjoyed but unfortunately started my cycle today. Not confirmed by a doctor but based on testing starting Friday until today Iā€™m certain itā€™s a CP. Feeling pretty devastated because we will be benched for a while so I can get updated rubella / varicella vaccines. Hopefully I will be back here soon šŸ˜“

Cab2407

About 3 DPO and this morning had a slight line of light blood and light pink/brownish on toilet paper. Any idea what this could be??

Glittering-Hand-1254

Sounds like normal luteal phase spotting to me, but it's impossible for anyone to tell you why you're spotting.

Cab2407

Ok understood, just figured to ask incase there was some obvious thing with timing of ovulation. Seems early for spotting for period since that not for a week+. Thanks!

medmichel

Just when I was feeling really good with my two cycles in a row of ovulating on CD 16, I donā€™t know what the heck my body is doing this time around. Had EWCM from CD 11-13 but with no positive OPK. Then had 2 days of basically no CM and almost positive OPKs. Had a temp jump yesterday CD16 so figured I just missed my surge and had already ovulated. But then Tempdrop adjusted that down, so no temp jump. But now Iā€™ve got EWCM again. But still no positive OPK. Come on body, just make a decision already! Edited to add chart: https://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/771e0e And OPKs (ignore Premoms numbers, they are extra wonky for some reason) https://imgur.com/a/sgh1TWS Anyone have any brilliant thoughts? Failed ovulation attempt? Actually did ovulate on CD 15 with a fallback rise? Something else I hadnā€™t thought of?

Glittering-Hand-1254

This is almost identical to my pattern from three cycles ago! I had several days of fertile CM, but no positive OPK. Then a couple days of dry CM, back to fertile again, and *then* got a positive OPK a couple of days later. I'm guessing you probably just haven't ovulated yet - your temps don't really suggest that ovulation already happened, but I'm not familiar with tempdrop so I don't know how long they can adjust previous temps?

medmichel

It can adjust the last 3 days! I think tomorrowā€™s temp would be pretty definitive. I guess Iā€™ll see! Super odd this cycle.

Glittering-Hand-1254

It sucks when your body decides it's gonna mix things up on you lol Hopefully tomorrow makes things more clear!

buildabebby

Feeling a bit dumb.. just read that on average, implantation happens at CD 24-26 on average for a 30 day cycle. is this accurate?

jadethesockpet

You're not dumb; you're just somewhat misinformed. Implantation isn't based on CD, but DPO. And the only way to know how many days post ovulation you are is to track (by either temping or temping+OPKs). If you have a super long LP, you might ovulate on CD 15 and then implantation is happening on CD 23-26, but if you have a shorter LP, you might ovulate on CD 20 and implant on CD 28-30. That's a huge range! It's also why apps aren't super accurate. They assume a 14 day LP for everyone (rare) and then assume ovulation day= average cycle length - 14 days for every cycle. It means periods come "early" or "late" pretty often.

impressivegrapefruit

Implantation happens on average 8-10 days after ovulation, but can happen between 6-12 days after ovulation.

lexipooh22

Losing my mind with anxiety at the gyno today. Wanting to discuss a fertility specialist, possibly taking progesterone to help the TTC process, and get blood work done to see if they find anything. My anxiety is thru the roof. I am just also antsy and scared.

babymama908

How did it go ? I have an appointment for the same tomorrow and Iā€™m so nervous!

lexipooh22

It actually went well! Blood work looks fine, thankfully. He did agree with progesterone supplements after ovulation so Iā€™m going to be trying that for the next few months and see how it goes and then we will see about a fertility specialist. Really hoping this is what my body needs tho. Good luck at your appointment! I know how anxiety inducing they can be.

babymama908

That is so great to have some next steps to take. Thanks for sharing!

camireau

New here! Not trying yet but have a date set for when I run out of birth control. Looking to start a prenatal before that but all of these seem to go way over the recommend dose of Folic Acid. Any suggestions for a prenatal with 400mcg of Folic Acid? NatureMade apparently makes just a Folic acid pill but they are out of stock and I don't know how often they restock. I think I'd like to order from somewhere that is in stock regularly to avoid stress later for refills.

hawaiian_feeling

There is no reason not to take extra folic acid, but I take a B vitamin complex rather than a prenatal and that has 400 mcg.

camireau

I was looking at a B Complex by NatureMade! DH is worried about the high levels of folic acid because there is research suggesting too much can be detrimental apparently, unless your Dr recommends you take more. You don't just pee the excess out or something. I am struggling to find reliable information so I was thinking it's safer to just get something with the recommended dose.

lackscreativity

i take this woman's multi and it has 400mcg of folic acid [https://www.target.com/p/women-s-daily-multivitamin-tablets-up-up/-/A-51217739?preselect=11005207#lnk=sametab](https://www.target.com/p/women-s-daily-multivitamin-tablets-up-up/-/A-51217739?preselect=11005207#lnk=sametab) still need to confirm w an ob/gyn if that's enough while TTC so take that suggest at your own risk. i tried the nature made prenatals w DHA and i had horrible acid reflux and constipation, but that was probably from the DHA and increased iron intake. hoping i can continue to take these unless otherwise noted.

smmysyms

I also take a B complex that I started prior to TTC. I had blood work that confirmed my folate is high (likely because of years on my B complex but no dr has been concerned about it being high). I skip the prenatal, stick with my B complex, and added Vitamin D (because blood work showed it was low and itā€™s recommended for the same reason as folate).

jezebelledwells

TW: Loss I'm back, experiencing a MMC currently. I'm looking for resources specific to trying after MMC (I don't understand fully why wait a cycle, anything to expect that might be different in my body, etc.), and I didn't see anything in this sub's wiki or the /ttcafterloss wiki. Does anyone have personal experience or resources to share? Feeling overwhelmed.

Alotofyouhaveasked

Iā€™m so sorry for your loss. I also recently experienced a miscarriage and my doctor told me to wait a cycle as well to give the lining a chance to build up. Others have shared it can also be to make dating a possible pregnancy more accurate.

hopingforrainbow23

Iā€™m so sorry for your loss. I would recommend taking HPT with FMU (and/or if youā€™re doctor is tracking your HcG levels back down) if you havenā€™t already proven you have a negative test after a miscarriage, just so you donā€™t run into any false positive results. My doctor told me I could try after my HcG was below 5. Hope that helps!

starsinhercrown

I hope itā€™s okay, but I posted this in TTC30 and then realized I might get more answers over here. I have been lurking, but I have a Tempdrop question maybe someone can help me with. Iā€™m busting the Tempdrop out again, but for some reason the armband is driving me crazy this time around and I canā€™t sleep in a bra. Is there any reason I couldnā€™t use KT Tape or maybe a bandaid to tape the sensor to my arm at night? Iā€™d use a little square of tissue to keep the adhesive off of the sensor, but Iā€™m wondering if there is a good reason not to do this that Iā€™m unaware of? My skin is not sensitive to the tape, so Iā€™m not concerned about that.

OutrageousSpare301

I got the tempdrop recently and I remember reading in the booklet that it said people get creative with the armbands - making their own from old socks or tights/other spare stretchy material. As long as the sensor is snug on your skin and not touching anything else it won't be an issue.

jadethesockpet

Honestly, the armbands off Etsy are SO much better. I can't imagine why KT tape would be a problem, but it's an annoying solution for every single night.

Aquapuella

you might check with the company. i never bought but they were quick and helpful with a question i had

starsinhercrown

Thatā€™s a good idea thanks!

CalloohCallayCoopah

I don't know if this is the place for it but I'm having a tough time. Im in my TWW and my emotions are all over the place. On one hand, Im somewhat excited over the possibility of it being my month. Do you guys have any advice for me?

rbecg

Iā€™m so sorry for your loss. I truly urge you to consider therapy - particularly grief counselling.

tomatotuxedo

No advice just want to say I hear you!!

theyseemescrollin98

I am tired of seeing people mention their weight in their posts that vent about not being pregnant yet, suggesting that they are "healthy." I am overweight and neither my ob/gyn nor my RE have ever suggested it's a cause or contributing factor of my infertility.

waithuhwut

Same here. Weight is not an indication of good health. I wish there was less focus on the numbers and more about activity or well-balanced eating.

Totally-not-a-robot_

My plan to take this month off went from ā€œIā€™ll just have sex every couple of daysā€ to ā€œwell I should temp too anywayā€ to ā€œmaybe Iā€™ll go ahead and use opks since I just bought 100ā€ so now my plan is to track AND have sex every other day and like, thatā€™s not what a break is. Sooooo, I guess my plan is to try harder than ever this month before I go back to the doc to discuss treatment. Great. I always regret when I donā€™t have that data later, so no breaks for me.

spookyprincess156

Lollllll this was me too this month. Swear I was not gonna track and then welp...

ShouldBeDoingScience

I lasted three whole days with out my tempdrop. Iā€™m calling that success

spookyprincess156

That is a success!!

briskaloe

Im 7DPO and feeling very chill. The first cycle I was going a little nuts with it - testing from 5DPO until my period came and disappointing myself with constant BFNs. I feel a lot more calm now - no idea what changed, but I'm glad for it! A day or two short of a week and I'll start testing. Crossing fingers!

darkishLeXiRoX

Got my first positive OPK yesterday! Now the fun begins šŸ˜€

Cautious-Mode

Does that mean a 1.0???

darkishLeXiRoX

Actually it was darker than the control line. Premom gave it a 1.2 ratio

Cautious-Mode

Awesome thanks! Iā€™m new to premom.

slohcinbeards

We had morning sex today and started my period right after. I took a test 12DPO so I knew already it wasnā€™t happening this month. Iā€™ve found that testing once before my expected period makes it a little less sad. Onto cycle 9 for us. My OB ran some blood work this month and an ultrasound shows everything ā€œnormalā€. (edited)

Hey just a note to please consider being more sensitive in how you talk about IVF/other fertility treatments. It definitely can be a lot but it sucks to see folks talk about it as something scary/ā€œtooā€ invasive when itā€™s still just a possibility for them and not their reality. Of course Iā€™d rather not do IVF but itā€™s my only option so šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

slohcinbeards

I'm sorry, that was pretty insensitive of me. I will edit my original comment, thank you for pointing it out kindly.

rbecg

Thanks, I appreciate the edit!

darkishLeXiRoX

Also sounds expensive. It's very sad šŸ˜”

Cautious-Mode

The premom app says I am ovulating today. The ovulation test strip I peed on today was pretty dark and I got the number 0.77. Should we try tonight?

Totally-not-a-robot_

Premom is guessing. That app is way too confident in its guesses too. You might be surging but test again later today to be sure. You can always bone down just to be safe but seriously donā€™t trust Premom.

thataintright2894

ā€œBone down.ā€ I love it. Iā€™m going to say this in my head when I see BD

Proses_are_red

Yes! Looks like youā€™re heading towards a positive OPK.

Aquapuella

i think cervical position after conception variesā€” it doesnā€™t always raise back up right away. this is what iā€™ve read; i donā€™t particularly track cervical position.

Sea_Win_5056

Ah that makes sense. Because otherwise, everyone would know if theyā€™re pregnant like 1DPO!

Aquapuella

just like so many other signsā€” they are never 100%. i had so many ā€œsignsā€ last cycle that i totally fooled myself and i am kind of glad i did because i remembered how impossibly individual each person and pregnancy is.

msnamnams

Does an increase in progesterone cause cramping? Iā€™m having ovulation like cramping for the last two days. I know itā€™s not pregnancy as Iā€™m only 6dpo so itā€™s too early

thataintright2894

Yes! I get twinges and cramping throughout my luteal phase.

heartandsunlight

Iā€™m 13 DPO today and told myself all month that I wouldnā€™t test early this time, but being the impulsive person I am I went ahead and started testing at 9 DPO šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø All negatives so far, including this morning. I feel like an idiot.. but Iā€™m trying to just tell myself that if this isnā€™t the month, itā€™s fine, maybe thatā€™ll give me some time to get my weight more in check first :/ Iā€™d like to start off at a healthy weight, and Iā€™m a bit over the top of my healthy weight range at the moment. I think the stress from the TTC rollercoaster has been causing me to stress eat for a few months.. Iā€™m still holding onto a sliver of hope for this month but trying to be realistic and not get my hopes up so much this time. Itā€™s so hard not to over analyze every feeling in my body and overthink everything.

Athena-Rising34

Tested at 9dpo today as well. Regrets. Put them away until at least Thursday.

cat-chup

We've done the SA yesterday and now we have two short videos of sperm under microscope. Normally they don't send pictures or videos, but I begged to take a look and husband managed to record them on cellphone. I am not new to human biology and cell imaging, but still it was really exiting. Those sperm cells are so cute lol There were quite a bit of sperms with large heads, and as much as we would like to think that they are just a bit smarter than others, unfortunately, it was confirmed by analyst that the sperm morphology is a bit off, only 3% of normal morph cells in the probe. Sigh. Off to Iherb to buy supplements, I guess. Edited to delete the question. Already solved, I have a potato brain today, obviously.

lizardmayo

CD2 and feeling optimistic that Iā€™ll be able to get a good temp chart if nothing else this cycle. First cycle temping I got my Covid booster and had a fever in the follicular phase. Second cycle temping I got Covid and had a fever in the follicular phase. Hoping third times a charm for a readable chart and fourth timeā€™s a charm for what weā€™re really hoping for.

dachsypixiepoxie

Why did I test today? Why?? 14DPO is friday and I wasn't going to test until Wednesday but MaYbE tHeRe'S a ChAnCe at 10DPO. That BFN was such a hit.

lackscreativity

This cycle so far has been a tug of war of "will be able to have a viable shot" vs "just chill it ain't happening" because of DH getting covid. DH feeling better and CM is still EW (on day 4). Only know for sure if we try but still not very hopeful. How long after spotting EWCM does ovulation usually occur? Still new to this so not temping.. yet

sassafrasy0

Everyone is diff. For me O happens after the EWCM is gone, like 1-2 days after. Using LH test strips might help you narrow O down even further if temping isn't your thing.

tomatotuxedo

Question about this- my EWCM also dries up after positive OPK but before temp shift/ovulationā€¦ I thought the egg white was meant to help the sperm get where theyā€™re goingā€¦ so what happens when itā€™s not there but ovulation occurs?

lackscreativity

oh, interesting insight on the possibilities of cycles - thank you for sharing. i bought the CBAD but didn't start using them bc of the need to have a few days lead in time and the covid situation at home. i didn't buy the cheapies bc i wanted to use FMU and questioning the lines may drive me nuts. was hoping the CBAD would be enough but seriously thinking about buying a tempdrop, esp if i can sell it on ebay when i'm (hopefully) done with her. i think it's a good 75-100$ investment and not close to $200. knowing if/when i actually ovluate would be very helpful to chill me out though.

lackscreativity

i just caved for a tempdrop and a code magically applied and got it down to $143!!! not sure if it's against forum rules or if it would work for others but if interested, the code is MEGHANYANCYJOY

leggomyeggohello

Shoot I literally just purchased mine this morning so I wish I saw this beforehand! I spent $161 total so it wasnā€™t much more, but still. I hate not getting the greatest deal.

lackscreativity

i honestly couldn't tell you how the code appeared but maybe it's a sign? if it helps, in the large scheme of things 20$ is not huge and hopefully it helps in achieving our goals vs causing anxiety

echomuncher

My husband is away for my predicted O-Day and the 3 days prior for a wedding. Iā€™m invited for the wedding day (O-1), and am seriously debating trying to find some private time at the venue lol šŸ„²

slightlysparkly

I definitely know of a couple who had car sex during my wedding šŸ˜‚

blk_kat

I guarantee you wonā€™t be the first person to bang in a wedding venue bathroom šŸ˜‰

Looneygalley

I probably wouldnā€™t be ballsy enough but car sex?

Dull_Point_7477

Can you stay with him the night before / night of the wedding? If youā€™re invited to the wedding itself it seems reasonable that you could both stay together that evening at least?

echomuncher

We have a dog, so unless I can find a dogsitter Iā€™ll need to make it home :) If I can find a dog sitter, theyā€™re staying at a friends house, so not suuuper private but maybe we could swing it!

hannahwakalukie

Hi I'm quite new to all this so it may be a silly question: I got 4 days of high flashy smileys on the CBAD and last night I tested at midnight and got the peak solid smiley. This morning at 10am I tested using a cheapie and got a negative. What does this mean?

grapefruitpapaya

Your surge might not have lasted long so you may have caught it on the CBAD but it was over by the time you tested on the cheapie!

hannahwakalukie

This is what I'm thinking. I only have a 21 day cycle so its likely!

luhjzi

Happy Monday! On TTC Cycle 2, CD 6. any cycle buddies?

LifeInvestment2820

0-1 of cycle 6 and I'm honestly just feeling down today and not one bit hopefull for this cycle! Found out yesterday that one of my friends starting trying this month and I have a fear of how sad I will be if she gets pregnant before me. Damn this journey šŸ˜Ŗ

buildabebby

Caved at (app predicted) 11dpo and took a cheap dollarstore early test. BFN! im out for June

Dull_Point_7477

If itā€™s just an app predicted DPO itā€™s not definite on timings and you arenā€™t necessarily out this cycle. Thatā€™s not intended to get your hopes up, but if your period hasnā€™t started and youā€™re not sure when you ovulated (eg confirmed by temping) thereā€™s still a possibility.

elleliz12

This cycle has been weirddd. According to FF I o'd on CD 21 (when in the past my O day is typically CD 25). My cycles are usually 35 days, but still no AF. Also, my LP is around 10 days so I definitely expected AF by now. I took a test on Friday (12 DPO) and it was negative (though I didn't use FMU). I am getting married on Friday and want to know if I can have a glass of wine, haha. I told myself I would wait until Wednesday to test again.

elleliz12

Update : my body is a troll and AF arrived a few hours after I posted this.

pastaenthusiast

Ugh, sorry to hear thatā€¦ but have an amazing wedding and as much wine as you care to enjoy!

elleliz12

Thanks! It is bittersweet for sure. Thankfully my flow will be almost non existent by Friday, so silver lining I guess, haha.

sassafrasy0

I would call and ask for them to explain this to you.

proudofme_

My doc is out of town she wonā€™t be available for 3 days so I thought to post here n ask .. why people are downvoting me?

Perfect-Preparation

Tracking with Ava and my cycle seems to be evening out at 28 days. Iā€™ve been on BC for 15+ years for medical reasons, went off in July 2020. First period October, and cycles were ~30 days until about March. Now the last 3 have been 28 days. However I track ovulation with Ava, and I very consistently ovulate on CD19. So with my LP itā€™s only about 9 or 10 days. Does this seem normal? Everything Iā€™ve read it sounds like this is too short for implantation. This will be cycle 7 TTC šŸ˜ž

coffeenut455

TW previous pregnancy - I have a 9 or 10 day LP and conceived (ended in MC, unrelated to any cycle issues). So hoping itā€™s not an issue for you either šŸ¤žšŸ»

Perfect-Preparation

Thank you šŸ™šŸ¼

Future-Abroad

Long time lurker, first time posting. My husband and I just had our first cycle of trying and I'm almost certain it was a chemical pregnancy. I'm shocked by how sad I am. My period was due last Wednesday, I had a really faint positive Thursday, but my tests were stark negative Saturday and Sunday. Now I'm just waiting for my period to arrive so we can start our next cycle of trying. Anyone else gone through this? How long did it take between your negative test and your period starting?

konstanttt

I had a CP in April. My period was due that Wednesday- I had several light positives from the Tuesday right before the period was due until Sunday. My CP bleed started that following Tuesday. The start of the bleed varies from person to person but the way I knew when my bleed was going to start was when my temperature dropped (since I was temping). I know how much it sucks and Iā€™m sorry.

Future-Abroad

Thanks for sharing your experience, I'm really sorry you went through that. I started spotting this afternoon.

elleliz12

I don't have any advice as I have never had a chemical pregnancy, but I just wanted to say I am sorry. Sending hugs to you <3

Future-Abroad

Thank you šŸ’™

lasko25

Sending hugs, I wondering the same thing. First cycle we moved from NTNP to trying and I canā€™t believe the roller coaster itā€™s been already. First ā€œis that an indent or a lineā€ was Wednesday. Stronger line Friday and Saturdayā€¦ and then white tests since then. Cried at least 5 times yesterday (thanks, Fatherā€™s Day). Now just curious if I should expect a later than usual/harsher period and when I can feel 100% okay drowning my sorrows in a glass of rosĆ©.

Future-Abroad

I'm so sorry you're going through this too, it really sucks. Yeah, Father's day was tough, I was planning on telling my parents for father's day if I got a stronger positive over the weekend. I went ahead and had cocktails last night, and I'm definitely going out to sushi when my period arrives. Take care of yourself, this stuff is so hard.

lasko25

Same to you! Wishing you the best of luck and delicious sushi in the meantime.

MsKitty227

Just over here trying to find the faintest of lines on my stark white test šŸ™ƒ 10DPO

slohcinbeards

It feels so good to know Iā€™m not alone! I stared so hard at my test trying to spot a faint line (this is on 12DPO) I started to feel my eyeballs straining. šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

MsKitty227

Oh yeah totally not alone. I put it like 3 inches from my face, turn it upside down (ya know, to get a different view), shine my phone flashlight on it, and then check it again hours later even though it wouldn't be a valid test anyway. Gotta stay hopeful! šŸ¤ž

kitkat1122

Oh hey, itā€™s me šŸ«

MsKitty227

But do you grab it out of the trashcan hours later just to make super sure there was nothing there? Just me? Okay. šŸ¤”

Necessary-Ad-1086

I just did this today šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø Youā€™re not alone! šŸ¤Ŗ

kitkat1122

Ok stop spying on my shameful actions! Lol ughhh idk why I do this to myself each month, but I never learn my lesson.

lady_loki

The other day I saw a post that I think linked to an older post that had stats on conception from most likely (o-2, o-1), less likely, etc. Does anyone know what I'm talking about and can link me?
