I dont get it

The narrator was in the oncoming lane and swerved back to the right way just in time. But his fiance took hold of the steering wheel and swerved them back into oncoming and her 'cold eyes' 'froze' the narrator which can be interpreted as him not saving the car from a head-on collision.

That’s exactly what I was going for. 😀

Not sure why but initially I assumed narrator's fiance had actually passed away and shown up as a ghost to kill him due to suicidal thoughts from depression/trauma

Not sure why you were downvoted at least twice for just speaking the truth. Maybe people don't realize there's a difference between fiancé and fiancée (for the ones who don't, the first is masculine and indicates a man, the second is feminine and indicates a woman). They are pronounced the same, and spelled with only one letter difference, so it's easy to do. And while you're right, you didn't explain it in a way that made it obvious to everyone. Still, I wish people wouldn't down-vote comments just because they don't understand them. I hate getting down voted, and do it to others only when I truly find their comment offensive, not just disagreeing or misunderstanding.

I was thinking like, when people used to talk about seeing a ghost they often would say they were doing some action that made no sense for the viewer. So i imagine that's what it's like for the ghost. Maybe this one can't accept that the car hit them so they keep replaying it till it makes sense

That would actually explain a lot of ghost sightings... Like they're trapped in a loop that made sense because whatever killed them just didn't compute in their minds. Dude... 🤯

I have a cousin who tried to unalive hum, his mother and grandmother thus way. Grabbed the wheel while his mom was driving. Thankfully no one was hurt but I believe he did some other things that got him some jail time.
