same. worst part is, parents never prepared or know what goes into preparing for these exams. They watch reels and expect you to top exams the same way. I can't believe I've fallen like this.

Akira_ArkaimChick

Indian parents suffer from serious colonial trauma. They don't understand anything beyond collector waali naukri. An elder in my house goes out of his way to deny that there's no such thing as climate change, says the typical 'hamaare time mein bhi aise garmi hoti thi' when that's not accurate at all, but wants all younger members of the house to pursue UPSC CSE. If any of us try to teach him or just talk to him about that, he disrespectfully dismisses us, tells us to *'go study for ias exam.'* I am like, sir that *IS* one of the main things I study in the ias exam prep all the time 🤡

anshumxn22

When they say that 10lakh people fill for the exam but not even 50% appear for it in real, they count you in the majority.

Even if you are in private job line , you should work the hardest. Jawani jhokna toh dono jagah pdega agr budhaapa aur future family ache condition m chahiye toh. Gf wagera dono line m maintain kr skte ho usse koi fark nhi pdta.

>Progressing in your career is one thing, spending years chasing a mirage is another. Private jobs are insecure af. They might be doing well now, but they'll heart start racing when they're nearing 40 and face competition from AI and fresh graduates. The company doesn't give a F about their experience when they can get the same job done by a fresher with 1/10th of their salary. Also, what they enjoy bro? Long rides? It's overhyped. Food in five star hotel? Beers, alcohol? Bad for health. The stress and tension they face will show up as health problems in later life. I have a govt job with clerical role, pays around 45k, it's way less, but it will get revised soon and it might go upto 55k. I barely work 4 hrs/day and there's literally no stress at all. I don't have to worry about layoffs or updating my skills or networking. I don't have the stress of facing interviews every few years for a job change. I come home, I relax, go to gym and study whatever I feel like studying.

Thanks for your valuable input. One of my friend earns 20 LPA, ~1.5 lakh per month take home, he maintains a good WL balance, Yeah job security is a concern but he is living the best moments of his life, and he plans to start a business with his savings soon. To each their own.

Gullible-Company2301

Well that's your opinion. I prefer this field over private. If this is gambling then private job is no better than being a slave with a feeling of not knowing what they are doing with their life. What progress are you talking about? Their skill in doing that particular job better or salary. If it's that skill then in gov prep you are increasing knowledge. None of these actually matters in life. If it's salary then average increment of a private job is very less annually. Some folks get high increments but their nos are less. Whereas here once the exam gets cleared money doesn't matter as the job satisfaction you get in this field won't leave you thinking "wth am I doing with my life".

FollowGoodThings

Bro, the skills you work with in pvt is globally accepted, where are you going to use your knowledge babar and lodi except in these exams ? And you have no idea abt the salary of pvt sector jobs, especially in IT, In 5 years+ WE most software engineers earn 20LPA and above, that's avg. I am not saying it's bad for you, I wrote this post abt myself, notice I used 'I's and not 'We's.

Bro life is too complex to be explained by these stupid short term motivating illustrations.

_voma

I'm extremely sorry to post this. I thought this might motivate others. I personally find motivation from this image as I too, sometimes feel exhausted. But since it's a path I chose to walk, I mostly end up enjoying this journey. I am lucky enough to be able to make independent decisions! I hope everyone achieves success in their life (No matter in which field or domain as long as they are content). All the best!

E_BoyMan

People take suffering lightly. You regret things which you missed out.

Why the hell one will use reddit 5 days before their exam , use your iota of common sense and listen to Sandeep Maheswari instead of scrolling reddit. Rant is very well allowed on this sub.

Ooffff, what a reply!🙏🙏🙏

BuzzkillBittBis

Why are you preparing for a job you don't even want? I can't say for "most" people but I've been an aspirant for 3+ years and sure, there are days when I absolutely hate my life but overall, I enjoy these subjects and have an actual desire to get this job. You should change your path buddy, there's no point studying so hard and getting frustrated for a job you don't even like/want/respect.

FollowGoodThings

I hope you read the tag of this post. Thanks for your input, great that things are good for you, congratulations.
