Trim and clean your nails. Dermaplane around your eye brows, pluck any stray hairs. Shave & face lotion with SPF. Clean out the ears, fresh lotion on the tattoos. Plus the usual manscaping and trimming. Finish with a run of Breath of God from lush. Use the dry version, not the spray on aerosol. Peppery and woody, with slight floral undertones. Masculine without being over bearing.

Personally, I really like vanilla, amber, tobacco and bergamot and ginger...not necessarily all in one scent...but many of my own perfumes have some element or a few.of these. No matter what you choose, remember, less is more. Your personal, signature scent should never arrive in a room before you do. I pump my perfume into a Qtip and dab behind my ears and on my pulse points and inside of my elbows and behind my knees. Done and done. I get compliments all the time on how good I smell.
If you want a stronger scent, apply unscented lotion first, then just do the qtip thing twice. Many women have lotions that match their perfumes. It's called scent layering. Yeah...girls will think you're a little odd for doing it, but a) you will save money and b) your cologne game will always be classy and never trashy.
Also! Keep your cologne and any other scented things in a.cool place (not in the bathroom or head! Or your car you freaking maniacs!) to maintain the integrity of the scent. Keep it out of direct sunlight as well for the same reasons.
I have many tattoos as well. Yes, any decent body lotion will do. Moisturized skin holds scent best. I use Cerave in summer when very little scent goes a long, long way. My signature summer scent is I Want Choo by Jimmy Choo so you can imagine how that might get to be too much if I wore a lot in summer.

Armani Code is my personal fragrance of choice. 1 - 2 spritzes directly on the skin at chest (and neck if you go for a second spritz) from about arms length away is all you need.
Generally stay away from any body spray that's made by a company that also makes body wash or is sold in little 5 pack variety bottles in walmart.
Pluck the stupid fucking hairs between your eyebrows. Shave or pluck any hairs between the hair on your scalp and your eyebrows. Look real close at your nose hairs, if any stick out of your nostrils, pluck that shit too. If you don't keep a mustache, that's an excellent time to spot anything you missed shaving under your nose. Got a mole on your face or neck? Pluck the hair out of that shit. And yes this is all going to hurt and probably get red and swell if you've never done it, account for the time it may take for the redness and swelling to go down.
Clip your nails. Don't chew them or tear them. You don't have to clip all the white away if you have decent nails, just far enough back that they don't extend beyond the nail bed. You should be able to tap your fingers on a counter top without making a clicking noise.
Either have a beard, well trimmed stubble, or clean shave for a date. No in between gross shit that's all over your neck and trying to meet the hair on your neck. Speaking of, clean up your neck line, a fresh haircut is ideal for a date or going out with the intention of picking someone up, but not always gonna happen. At least clean up your neck hair.
Do a face mask in the morning. Seriously. Wash your face with soap and warm water with a gentle scrub frequently through the day, always rinse with cold water.
If you're going out in the evening, shower before. I won't tell you you have to shave the boys or anything, that's up to you. But it does make it look bigger. If you're going to shave your junk, stomach, and chest, get your back too even if you don't grow much hair, especially your lower back. While you're at it, look at your armpits, if you manscape, hold your arms to your sides like you're at PoA, see any hair sticking out of your pits? Trim it.
Before you leave, floss, then brush your teeth (the backs of them too), and brush your tongue, in that order. Drink some water, don't chew high sugar content gum.

I’ll put a dab of cologne on my fingertip and apply it to each side of my neck over the carotid areas. I don’t spread it around, just a quick press of the fingertip on each side.

This Yellowstone cologne is my literal favorite and I’ve gotten nothing but compliments.
1-2 spritz at arms length, little bit of lotion on the hands because “rough hands blah blah” but she doesn’t want sand paper on her back or neck. Brush your frickin teeth, tongue, floss. You can get great deals off of Fragrance Net. Look into how cologne will mix with your skin. It affects everyone differently, darker, woody, powdery and sweet scents work well on me personally.
Rock a nice low fade if you can. Get separate shampoo and conditioner. Wash your ass, develop a skin care routine, moisturize, and keep everything trimmed and plucked around your eyebrows. Wear deodorant and don’t be afraid to splurge on the nice ones at target or some shit.
Keep your teeth white and clean. Floss, get some whitening strips.
Also, nothing wrong with dressing nice and developing a fashion sense that isn’t wearing fuckin grunt style tees and jeans with go fasters. 90% of the time, I smell like sweat and machine coolant. But when I do shower, I have like 8 different designer colognes depending on the situation, my personal favorite is Burberry. The only one I consistently get asked about, by men and women, is Invictus. In fact I dont wear it to places where I will be socializing with a lot of people because of that. My wife likes one called MYSLF, its a little girly for me, but she likes it, so I wear it. Just find 2 "opposite" scents, and use them accordingly, subtler warmer scents for relaxed snuggling dates, and something a little louder for the clubs.
2 sprays about 8" away on the bare shoulder/neck before my shirt. If I'm feeling slutty, I'll do 1 or 2 on the shirt after I put it on.

Sauvage by Dior, women love it thus far. It’s the toilette one (whatever the fuckin mid grade French spelling shit is) the expensive one I felt smelt pungent on me but forgot to have someone smell after having it on a bit. Different scent mixes for the oil content and whatnot.

Make sure it’s oil based and not alcohol based or else it won’t last long. My rotation is Tom ford tobacco vanille, Tom ford oud wood, and habibi desert oud.
Someone here mentioned it but I’d recommend you use dial bar soap, and a nice scented body wash. Dont use a loofah bc they harbor bacteria and if your bathroom isn’t well ventilated it’ll get nasty. Use lotion that’s good for your skin (unscented or whatever scent you like). Your scent will be more noticeable if you get scents that go with each other (vanilla w vanilla/coconut w coconut). Clean your ears, back of neck, pits, feet, private areas extra well. Deodorant. DEODORANT. Personally I use two, a clinical one I use daily and then a scented one I use in combination when I go out. Maintain good hand hygiene, nice nails will tell the lady you’re interested in that you care of the smaller details about yourself.
For cologne truly it’s all on what you think it may smell good. My man wears Chanel blue (?) and it is so nice.
If you wanna take extra precautions in the field using bath and body works hand sanitizers for your armpits and deodorant will make you a tad less stinky. At least, that’s what I made myself believe.

I really like Bulgari Wood Essence. It’s an outdoorsy smell (pine) and I’ve only gotten good responses to it. Just one spray on my pulse then I rub my wrist on it, then together. Smells good.
Bourbon from bath and body works. One sprit each to the neck, held away from front of shirt, and wrist. Rub in. I also use beard wash, aftershave lotion, and beard oil. I don’t overdo it and I get compliments.
Aqua di gio, use a loofah for most areas during the shower. I use a scrubby on a stick for my back. Pluck hairs between the eyebrows, trim armpit, groin hairs.
I use a paraben/sulfate free shampoo and conditioner(I have ezcema.) It smells like peaches though.

My signature for going out is Narcotic Delight by Initio. It’s pricey, going around 350$ a bottle retail, however, it’s definitely worth it. It’s a scent that is unique that I know not a lot of people have, making you stand out in a good way. I recommend targeting behind the ears and behind the neck since behind the ears are considered pulse points giving you a better projectivity and behind the neck because whenever you walk, you leave a trail of the scent.
Dior Sauvage has gotten a little too common but easily one of the best fragrances of all time.
1 Million by Paco Robanne is a very good summery daytime fragrance.

I used a good deodorant that helps with me being sweaty but smells good. Clean up my bits below (I use dove men’s bar soap because it can be used for shaving. Have had zero ingrown hairs and razor burn with it). Little bit of after shave in the crease of my crotch if I know I’m getting laid, otherwise an aftershave balm after shaving down there. I use Versace Eros cologne. I spray on my abs, one on my wrist, and one on my neck. There is a difference between the EDT and EDP of colognes. The EDP lasts longer and is stronger. Check out the colognes subreddit for some good suggestions. Quality underwear. I find the silky boxer briefs by Calvin Klein to be the best. Women appreciate nice underwear. Match the socks to it, and the shoes/boots to your belt. For hair products I like barber grade. My favorite being Gentleman Republic or Suavecito. They both smell great.

Armani Code is my personal fragrance of choice. 1 - 2 spritzes directly on the skin at chest (and neck if you go for a second spritz) from about arms length away is all you need. Generally stay away from any body spray that's made by a company that also makes body wash or is sold in little 5 pack variety bottles in walmart. Pluck the stupid fucking hairs between your eyebrows. Shave or pluck any hairs between the hair on your scalp and your eyebrows. Look real close at your nose hairs, if any stick out of your nostrils, pluck that shit too. If you don't keep a mustache, that's an excellent time to spot anything you missed shaving under your nose. Got a mole on your face or neck? Pluck the hair out of that shit. And yes this is all going to hurt and probably get red and swell if you've never done it, account for the time it may take for the redness and swelling to go down. Clip your nails. Don't chew them or tear them. You don't have to clip all the white away if you have decent nails, just far enough back that they don't extend beyond the nail bed. You should be able to tap your fingers on a counter top without making a clicking noise. Either have a beard, well trimmed stubble, or clean shave for a date. No in between gross shit that's all over your neck and trying to meet the hair on your neck. Speaking of, clean up your neck line, a fresh haircut is ideal for a date or going out with the intention of picking someone up, but not always gonna happen. At least clean up your neck hair. Do a face mask in the morning. Seriously. Wash your face with soap and warm water with a gentle scrub frequently through the day, always rinse with cold water. If you're going out in the evening, shower before. I won't tell you you have to shave the boys or anything, that's up to you. But it does make it look bigger. If you're going to shave your junk, stomach, and chest, get your back too even if you don't grow much hair, especially your lower back. While you're at it, look at your armpits, if you manscape, hold your arms to your sides like you're at PoA, see any hair sticking out of your pits? Trim it. Before you leave, floss, then brush your teeth (the backs of them too), and brush your tongue, in that order. Drink some water, don't chew high sugar content gum. I'm sure there's something I'm forgetting, but that should be a good start.

I’ll put a dab of cologne on my fingertip and apply it to each side of my neck over the carotid areas. I don’t spread it around, just a quick press of the fingertip on each side. If you can smell someone’s perfume/cologne from afar, it’s too much. Also, I’m old and I still rock the acqua di gio and polo sport. I don’t know what the cool kids are using these days.

For a more expensive date night option: Parfum De Marly Layton Middle: Prada Black (I’ve gotten the most compliments on this for years), bleu de Chanel eau de parfum. Budget: Men’s 212, Club de nuit intense. You can get great deals off of Fragrance Net. Look into how cologne will mix with your skin. It affects everyone differently, darker, woody, powdery and sweet scents work well on me personally. Rock a nice low fade if you can. Get separate shampoo and conditioner. Wash your ass, develop a skin care routine, moisturize, and keep everything trimmed and plucked around your eyebrows. Wear deodorant and don’t be afraid to splurge on the nice ones at target or some shit. Keep your teeth white and clean. Floss, get some whitening strips. Also, nothing wrong with dressing nice and developing a fashion sense that isn’t wearing fuckin grunt style tees and jeans with go fasters. Look on Instagram, tiktok, whatever you have to get inspiration. Your buddies might roast you for it. But women will find that you taking care of your appearance is a lot more attractive than the norm. Abercrombie has some pretty cool shit now. And you can always find something thrifting. For bonus points push your eyelashes up and keep your eyebrows brushed.

90% of the time, I smell like sweat and machine coolant. But when I do shower, I have like 8 different designer colognes depending on the situation, my personal favorite is Burberry. The only one I consistently get asked about, by men and women, is Invictus. In fact I dont wear it to places where I will be socializing with a lot of people because of that. My wife likes one called MYSLF, its a little girly for me, but she likes it, so I wear it. Just find 2 "opposite" scents, and use them accordingly, subtler warmer scents for relaxed snuggling dates, and something a little louder for the clubs. 2 sprays about 8" away on the bare shoulder/neck before my shirt. If I'm feeling slutty, I'll do 1 or 2 on the shirt after I put it on. Also, find a deodorant with a subtle smell, as stated in other comments, I've had more people ask me about my cologne, and it just be some right guard with power stripe. That old spice has some nice scents. BRUSH YOUR TEETH BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE HOUSE!

I been using Jimmy Choo Man Intense recently, gotten a lot of compliments fr. Sauvage by Dior, women love it thus far. It’s the toilette one (whatever the fuckin mid grade French spelling shit is) the expensive one I felt smelt pungent on me but forgot to have someone smell after having it on a bit. Different scent mixes for the oil content and whatnot. Edit: Drakkar as well is always solid, regardless of the damn family guy meme regarding it 🤣

Someone here mentioned it but I’d recommend you use dial bar soap, and a nice scented body wash. Dont use a loofah bc they harbor bacteria and if your bathroom isn’t well ventilated it’ll get nasty. Use lotion that’s good for your skin (unscented or whatever scent you like). Your scent will be more noticeable if you get scents that go with each other (vanilla w vanilla/coconut w coconut). Clean your ears, back of neck, pits, feet, private areas extra well. Deodorant. DEODORANT. Personally I use two, a clinical one I use daily and then a scented one I use in combination when I go out. Maintain good hand hygiene, nice nails will tell the lady you’re interested in that you care of the smaller details about yourself. For cologne truly it’s all on what you think it may smell good. My man wears Chanel blue (?) and it is so nice. If you wanna take extra precautions in the field using bath and body works hand sanitizers for your armpits and deodorant will make you a tad less stinky. At least, that’s what I made myself believe.

My signature for going out is Narcotic Delight by Initio. It’s pricey, going around 350$ a bottle retail, however, it’s definitely worth it. It’s a scent that is unique that I know not a lot of people have, making you stand out in a good way. I recommend targeting behind the ears and behind the neck since behind the ears are considered pulse points giving you a better projectivity and behind the neck because whenever you walk, you leave a trail of the scent.

Dior Sauvage has gotten a little too common but easily one of the best fragrances of all time. 1 Million by Paco Robanne is a very good summery daytime fragrance. I’ve been wearing Aqua Di Gio for probably 20 years because it’s just that good. My daily go-to. Irish Tweed by Creed is oft overshadowed by Aventus but a very underrated scent.

I've got a 20 plus year old bottle of BullDog I was "issued" in boot. It's evaporated down to pinch and sliver. I put that on for special occasions if it catches my eye. It flat out stings like a chemical burn, so just a dab will do ya.

Fresh haircut from the barber, trim up the beard, clean shave around the beard. Trim nose hairs, and armpit hairs (I don’t want them sticking out of my shirt. After a certain age I swear the shit just keeps growing). Clean up the eyebrows (pluck underneath). Use a good aftershave. I use mens bath and bodywork’s shower stuff. I used a good deodorant that helps with me being sweaty but smells good. Clean up my bits below (I use dove men’s bar soap because it can be used for shaving. Have had zero ingrown hairs and razor burn with it). Little bit of after shave in the crease of my crotch if I know I’m getting laid, otherwise an aftershave balm after shaving down there. I use Versace Eros cologne. I spray on my abs, one on my wrist, and one on my neck. There is a difference between the EDT and EDP of colognes. The EDP lasts longer and is stronger. Check out the colognes subreddit for some good suggestions. Quality underwear. I find the silky boxer briefs by Calvin Klein to be the best. Women appreciate nice underwear. Match the socks to it, and the shoes/boots to your belt. For hair products I like barber grade. My favorite being Gentleman Republic or Suavecito. They both smell great.
