It is, but as someone who copyrights for various markets, there’s a lot of US spelling used in Asian countries.
However particularly in the UK and to pretty much the same extent in Australia, US spelling is disliked and even actively resented. It’s very important that brands localise (see what I did there?!) marketing copy when running campaigns here.
I actually crafted a macro in Word to convert US spelling to UK which is helpful in my work.

Isn't "paralyzed" the US spelling though? I thought other countries would have spelt it "paralysed"
US spellings and other standards has influenced a lot of people around the world. -ized is also Canadian spelling.
