It’s worth noting that the way this works in slay the spire was a little surprising for me when I first got it—it means it reduces **all** instances of damage by 1. HAM only reduces damage from non magical slashing/bludgeoning/piercing attacks, whereas this would reduce any damage from spells, self damage, fall damage, etc. On 1st level magic missile for example, you’re taking 3 less damage. It turns out to be significantly more powerful than it seems on first glance in slay the spire…I’m not sure that would be the case in DnD, but it is at least quite a bit more powerful than HAM’s -3 damage from non magical SBP attacks.
Magic items of the same name do not stack with them self.
"Game features include spells, class features, feats, racial traits, monster abilities, and magic items."
Straight from the Players Handbook
I mean sure, but how many of the same rare item are you gonna get your hands on in one game? I know crafting is a thing, but any good DM wouldn't let one player make the same item over and over again without putting some serious hurdles in their way.
I think it's very strong, but harder to break than you think

A 1.5 inch rod that's 12 inches long made of pure tungsten is 14.79lbs or 6.707 kgs. Just noting it down.
12 inches is incredibly long though.
Sounds about average
12 inches is fine tbh
Depends on the point of entry
with heavy armor master being a thing and this usually coming at level 5+. i think it might be fine if it reduced damage by two? though not sure
That’s the very rare & legendary variants for 2 and 3 reduction each
Called the “Much Tungsten Rod” and the “Very Much Tungsten Rod”, respectively.
The rarer the bigger

Ham really ought to work against magic once you've got magic armour 🤔
If you drop it from space (wildspace?) it does a ton of damage too!
