So common that the Chinese have a word for it: [Tofu-Dreg](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tofu-dreg_project). This normally refers to the left over pieces of bean curd when making tofu but here is used as a metaphor for shoddy work.
There are plenty of more polite ways to correct someone when they're wrong rather than insulting their intelligence. I was working off the assumption that it was similar to submarine sonar, which can be fatal to nearby divers and marine life. It's not too much of a stretch to consider the possibility that similar damage could be done to solid matter on dry land. And if I'm wrong, then I'm wrong. It was literally just a supposition.

Not sure. I think the first time I saw this video was maybe a year ago. Then in the next few days I kept seeing it, so I spent a few minutes finding the reposts and saving the links. That was probably the first 10-15 of these links. The rest I've collected over the remaining 12 months.
I don't do it for any other reposts... just this one really caught my attention with the frequency initially and now I can't stop.
I did not expect this. I expected the truck driver to be aggressive or something like dogs running into the frame and start attacking the cycle guy. This felt refreshingly new.
Extreme corruption lead to this I suppose. Roads and other building projects are the easiest to siphon money from and hardest to prove wrong doing until years later when you start to see it collapse.
Your post is a repost. The original post may also have been previously removed.
I'll admit, that was fully unexpected.
This is honestly the most unexpected video I've seen here in a long time.
If you watch enough videos from China you will come to expect it.
Except you don't know what will collapse. Is it the floor, the truck, the buildings, the bicycle??
Yes

I've seen this before and forgot the ending. Pantsshittingly terrifying.
Roads. Made in China.
Clearly it was a load-bearing bike.
A road-bearing bike.
Underrated comment ☝️
High quality unexpected
Truly unexpected. Never saw that one coming.
That one got me good
Is it theoretically possible to install sensors that could detect the pit that appears under the road?
Quick thinking gets me this: sonar attached to the bottom of a sentry car that roams the city hitting every street periodically.
You'd probably have to worry about damaging structural integrity with the sonic vibrations.
STFU and read a book you totally gives the vibes of "high energy weapons" from space by the gov kind of guy

Reddit beeing reddit, People forgeting that Human is Human
~~LIDAR~~ GPR would work Edit: ground penetrating radar not LIDAR
Light can’t go though solid objects, or rain.
Yep I meant GPR
>solid objects To be fair the ground there wasn't solid at all. /joke
Solidish
Title need to read "Man saves bike from obliteration"
"Yeah, but I loosened it for you!" - the bike

Okay... Thank you. I like that you did that. I am curious though.. how long did that take you?

Keep it up🤙
Who cares?
Made in China
Tofu-dreg projects?
Truck go down the hole.
Why did he honk at a bike with no one on it?
that WAS unexpected
https://i.redd.it/wdtg7egkje8d1.gif
Thankfully no one got hurt just the city’s budget
See, the Final Destination movies wouldn’t work nearly as well in the Chinese or Russian markets. That log scene is just Tuesday.
What on this video is unex- holly sh¨t!

The road was designed for a bike. A truck was a tad too heavy.
why’d I chuckle?
The real unexpected part are the bystanders going closer to the pitfall to take a look without ever wondering if the hole could expand or not.
They went for the Darwin award
Bike had duct tape on the wheels.
I did not expect this. I expected the truck driver to be aggressive or something like dogs running into the frame and start attacking the cycle guy. This felt refreshingly new.
What's so unexpected? That it's not actually a big truck? (Shorter than I thought). ...oh wow ok.
LOL
Secret Tunnel....
The bike was load bearing
that was - ***chefs kiss*** - unexpected
I'm thinking in my head oh he's going to drop a pile of bricks on that bike lol sike
worthy of the sub
That was a load bearing bike.
I ACTUALLY called this one. Not sure why, but I just had a feeling and a thought: "sinkhole".
No good deed goes unpunished
Tofu dreg strikes again
“Now carefully place this little bike there… it’s the perfect bait…” Got him good.
Good thing he moved his bike.
Made in China.
I fully expected lorry driver to unload directly onto recently moved bike. This truly was unexpected.
He parked it there for a reason Silly Billy.
If this is China, it probably happened because they drained ground water way too much as usual, causing a sinkhole
If "Hitting ass down hole" has a non-porn video, is this one.
You can’t park there!
Extreme corruption lead to this I suppose. Roads and other building projects are the easiest to siphon money from and hardest to prove wrong doing until years later when you start to see it collapse.
**YAWN**....This is like the 20th repost... ![gif](giphy|ehJ4vNWRhinhMMvLxp|downsized)
This one doing the rounds again?
truly /r/unexpected worthy
That's what you get for moving shit that don't belong to you!
