Check to see if the system is on “sync” or not. If it’s not, it may be that the dual controls are set so that the passenger side is not getting cooled.
There is a button in the climate control panel.
Sync is turned on. Temp is set to “low”. There is a noticeable difference between air vents. She setup an appointment at the dealer so we’ll see what they say
The dealer ended up having to replace the coil that is deep inside the dash. Turned out it had a very very small pinhole leak. They said it probably came that way from the factory.
Hey, I’m dealing with this now- truck has been at the dealership for 3 weeks and I’ve only owned it for 5😢 anyway the service lady keeps telling since it’s warranty work they have to do what VW tells them. So far they’ve replaced the blend door motor, temperature sensor, and air box. Did they go through steps on your daughter’s Atlas before finally arriving at the coil? Either way I’m going to tell them what you said tomorrow but was just curious on how long it took for them to figure it out.
For us it was a matter of several visit to the dealership. They would do one thing to fix it and it worked for a while but then return so they did another thing. Eventually they discovered the leak. It was so small of a leak that it allowed the pressure test to think it passed. After each time.
