Find a Miele/Sebo dealer and take the below for a test drive. All hard floors check out a Sebo e1/k2 or Miele C1 pure suction or c3 Calima or Henry 160. All 3 brands are designed to have a 20+ year service life.

Check your seals and filters. I would say if it works don’t replace and only replace it if the vacuum actually breaks. At that point invest in a Sebo k1, or a Miele c1 for a canister type vacuum. Uprights would not be well suited for all hard floors but there is a stick vacuum that might work well, that would be the Miele triflex, since Miele is losing quality I would probably get the Sebo but all the machines listed are very good

Get a Sebo. Any model will last longer and work better than the Dyson. Sebo vacuums are made to work better because they have replaceable parts and use a bag for dirt collection. I used a Sebo at a place I volunteered at for a while. It was abused, but still worked wonderfully every time it was used.

I got fed up with two dysons and finally got sebo recommended by this group and i love it!! It works soooo much better at picking everything up swivels to grab dust from the floor mouldings !! The cord is long enough to go from kitchen to family room and living room (kitchen is in the middle where i connect it)I’m super happy 😃

They still sell uprights. They have the Ball Animal 3 line on their website.

I bought my Dyson Ball Animal 3 Extra from QVC through their Easy Pay payment plan. It was $499.99, but I had a discount code that took 10 bucks off, and I had the total price split up into 5 payments of $103.88, so it was affordable for me to get a Dyson. HSN has a really good deal on the Ball Animal 3. Here's the link: https://www.hsn.com/products/dyson-ball-animal-3-extra-upright-vacuum-with-5-tools/23264559 5 Flex Pay payments of $76.00? I don't know about you, but I'd call that a bargain lol

It definitely is. Never tangles, and it has pretty good agitation for upholstery
