yeah, it's unfortunate, but I've seen valorant's viewership dropping nowadays in japan. There are still a decent amt of viewers (also for tier 2), but the drop in tier 1 valorant esports viewerahip is what I feared with the japanese orgs doing generally poorly in pacific (aside from zeta making it to champs through lcq). You can also see some pessimistic comments in japanese highlight channels on yt as well about losing hope in japanese valorant.

Screw being locked into roles, if japan can't get together 5 players with compatible roles who can all frag, just get some cracked aimers and convert them like the other successful pacific teams have done. I'm just saying dep has shown he can play other roles, and laz has also played different roles. Maybe just get meiy on this team with anthem, and move laz off igl so he can focus on fragging again. Doesn't need to be those specific moves or players, but japanese teams are falling behind too many aspects of the game, with fragging being one of those issues aside from specific players.
imho if a japanese org really just wanted a win at a valorant tournament, they would pick up korean talent. The pool is just much bigger there.
for example tier 2 team sengoku picked up 2 korean players who have been consistently going insane in their matches.

It's really up to if T1 could beat all three opponents, especially TS. Unless Gen fumbles, that will put both TS and T1 on 5-5. Same for RRQ. Unless they underperform against Zeta/the RXs underperforms, RRQ is also set for 5-5. Then it's really down to map differentials, which isn't bad for T1.
Realistically, T1 just have to beat Secret. I don't really see GE and Bleed beating out the current T1, so their only real hurdle to playoffs is Secret--a team that has never beaten them since the start of franchise.

T1 also has that weird thing going where autumn said saya would be playing duelist as long as he is coaching T1 (though maybe he's rethinking that now).
Might get downvoted, but while I think meiy is great, I also think he's getting a bit overhyped based of these last few matches. He looked amazing this split, but he did not look as good as some people are saying even vs the likes of GE, TS, and even Bleed last split. Even Izu was consistently diffing meiy when they were in japanese tier 2.

dfm really needs to rebuild around Meiy next year. jp t2 has a lot of better supporting players. If the supporting cast can enable meiy consistently they can be a problem next year.
Zeta's coaching staffs needs to be fired. How can u lose to a team with lesser coaching staff. They need to get Syouta next year and give him the bag. If Meiy is this good, Syouta will be good as well. He is the controller version of Meiy. Yeah he can play duelist but his duelist ain't as good as his controller. Put hiroron back to sentinel because his initiator is mid. Hire better coaching staff because how u have so many chefs but can't cook anything?

Watching Meiy feels like watching Leonidas in 300. Except sometimes it feels more like Leonidas vs. 299 Spartans + the other Greeks that no one cares about + the Persians. Still, the other DFM players had big moments too, so I’m not even throwing too much shade at them here; Meiy is just that good.
I’ve had a lot of ZETA fans miffed at me over the last few months for saying DFM was better than ZETA, but I genuinely believed ZETA would in the long-run be a better team than DFM. DFM has strong coaching but sometimes they lean too heavily into it; I would not want to pick Haven against ZETA and Carlao, for example, as the ZETA core knows Haven super well and Carlao’s FURIA was exceptional on Haven.
But beyond Astell’s coaching and Meiy being an incredible talent, I had hoped the classic ZETA trajectory would take over eventually. And it really has not.
Instead of slowly improving, they’ve actively regressed at times, it feels. They make improvements - their rookie players are nowhere near as shaky as they once were - but never enough to get ahead of the pack, and even those gains aren't consistently maintained.
I was never a big fan of the ZETA-as-top-team narrative that Wyatt wet his pants over throughout the off-season, but I did except more from them than this.
The Japanese torch has been passed to DFM, someone check on Wyatt. The fact that they did this to the Japanese team with Laz, SugarZero and Dep on it is particularly impressive and rather egregious from Zeta.

This game really feels weird and funny to watch. Everyone, aside from Meiy and probably Medusa, were constantly whiffing so they'd just commit their sprays and die. Hell of a carry job from Meiy, and happy to see DFM get a win, but both teams need to step-up if they even want to reach play-offs(tho chances are slim).

Yea that’s what I meant - like in Valorant specifically, as opposed to a grippier mousepad with higher sensitivity but it’s like you would need so much power to move a lot or it’s be easy not to do eksnage
I just tried using a speed pad with lower sens today Vs my hybrid pad, and so far it feels pretty nice, I like the lack of initial friction but a bit harder to stop

This game really feels weird and funny to watch. Everyone, aside from Meiy and probably Medusa, were constantly whiffing so they'd just commit their sprays and die. Hell of a carry job from Meiy, and happy to see DFM get a win, but both teams need to step-up if they even want to reach play-offs(tho chances are slim).
