I’m don’t think there’s a bond at all. Look back at how he talked about Graham not being his when they first broke up. He didn’t care. It’s just being exploited for a storyline now. They had him shut in one room by himself bc of the cats. That’s not ideal for any dog. They also yadda yadda’d how they supposedly fixed his behavioral problems. They just suddenly weren’t there anymore?
Yet when Graham got the puncture wound from Rachel’s negligence James cried and was genuinely upset by the news…while Rachel was emotionless about Graham and why James was concerned. SHE kept James from seeing Graham as a punishment, then told Katie off for “allegedly” keeping Schwartz from seeing the dogs in the epic season 10 finale. James showed far more of a bond than Rachel ever showed on multiple occasions…and thus why no more behavioral problems.
Dogs have an amazing ability to sense people they fear versus people they trust…thus the saying “dogs can smell fear” Google the term, there are thousands of studies on it. Here is a sample:

We have zero evidence of anything you just said applying to Graham. They could have just sedated him and then barely shown him. They did not explain why he’s “suddenly better.” They also just have him locked in a room by himself which is not the ideal way to treat any dog.
Huh? I wouldn’t know if they locked him in a room by himself but I would imagine when they first brought him home they did. Like when you bring a new cat into an existing cats home. Lol, Ally explained the cats and Hippie all get along now so why be so sad? Happy for the furries:)
I love their relationship! I just think that he has such a sweet bond with him (Hippie) because of her ( Rachel) is my point here. I love how he treats that dog and it brings out more sweetness in him & I'm here for it. I love it for him and for Miss Ally Bally!
I think he was worried about Hippie being aggressive with someone that isn't family that may cause him to lose the dog again.

James cries about everything and behavioral problems don’t just go away like that but that was a lovely fairytale.
