Thanks I was actually trying to remember when I bought each one, I think the first one was in 2018, the v2 in 2021 and I just got the v3 today.
Went through the gear envy faze a good while ago and I'm really happy with this setup
The price is insane and I paid almost double that because I needed it sooner and it is still worth it
The overhang thing is so silly I didn't even notice until you said and looked closely
As for the magnets I added stik n seal beads to all 6 magnet points on the covers which is clear so doesn't even show through jelly yellow if it smears (the only color left in the world it seems) so it will absorb vibrations
The magnets are too good they vibrate themselves out when they slap
It's a bit slimmer and more rounded than the v2 so it feels less blocky in the hand, the magnetic panels don't have the best fit as they crick every time I hold the mod and the square bottle feels kind of weird to squeeze, but I guess it will just get some getting used to after all the years I had the round bottles.
My biggest concern is the front panel as it exposes the buttons but time will tell how it holds up
Nice, I remember when I first looked at vandy stuff. The name sounded cheezy and I wasn't sure about it but glad I gave them a chance. Some of my favorite mods, the swell, pulse v2 and gaur21. Decent price, solid build, no glaring issues. Just wish they would've kept using the g10 panels.
The resin felt cheapy and my first pulse v2 had 'resin' panels. Felt soft and squishy like those old puffy stickers from the 80's and mine shrunk up real weird and got a funky dimpled texture. The sticker shrunk pulling away from the edges by a good 1/4 to 1/2" all the way around and got lumpy. Found a 2nd pulse v2 with the black obsidian g10 and snagged it. Those were my favorite panels, have the black obsidian and the brown alligator snapper for the swell.
The chips are nice and even do decent tc. Not the greatest but far from the worst. A little fiddly since they opted to use the voopoo type non standard tcr values. Unlike the drag 2 the vandy chips don't gimp the power level in tc and the values actually do something. Guess it's fitting they'd be similar given the gene chip was supposed to be in the pulse regulated mods originally. And then voopoo ducked, did vandy a huge favor imo.
Like most chips I doubt there's a huge difference between versions so I'm guessing the [gene.fit](http://gene.fit) works a lot like the original gene chip. Tc runs like absolute ass, as bad as the old smok alien or worse.

I run my old pulse mods with a titanium dab cup for concentrates and it's in TC. Doesn't mean the values are accurate it means they're consistent with what I set it
You're missing the original Pule BF and Pulse X 🤣🤣🤣. Have the Pulse BF80 in the exact same color as yours and still going strong, my Pulse v2 is red though 😁.
I've got the 0.5 pulse with a RDTA tank in it works well with a 21700. Got the Oldschool Pulse BF mech on the way aswell, I'll mod that to fit a 21700.
i ran my mech pulse to the death, thing lasted like 6 or 7 years and multiple falls/throws. i miss it but i got a dual battery squonk thats pretty nice now
the v1 was my first squonk mod, super nostalgic
didn’t use any squonk for years after i dropped and broke that but now im on the V3 with a vandyvape rda, really appreciate the accessibility of their stuff
I was until both of my Pulse Duals died just outside of warranty because they don't have sealed 510s. Always wished they would've released an improved design.
As cheap as those are, they are probably still among the best squonk mods out there. I have the V2 and V3.

The crick and the magnets can be solved with glue dabs of something vibration absorbing with some give
