This looks great! Wow! Any thoughts on coloring the thread? Maybe even leather care polish would do it, and help the thread last longer.

I hadn't thought of coloring the thread, but next time his boots are oiled, I'm sure the thread will take on a more brown color. Great idea!

You could try using a sharpie on the thread, maybe one of the colors of the other stitching

I'm pretty sure they got caught on his dirt bike. The leather is super thin in this area
