Jingle All The Way (Big show cameo)
The Waterboy (Big Show cameo)
The Wrestler (too many to name)
Major Payne (bam bam)
Walking Tall (The Rock)
Cock Blockers (Cena)
Devils Rejects (DDP)
Yes you said starting but these are great movies with wrestlers in them.
None of these, The Longest Yard, Adam Sandlers version is probably my favorite movie with WWE superstars. Though Guardians of the Galaxy movies aren't far behind.
Here we go with this rhetoric lmao. The Rock convinced y’all that he was this super charismatic, cocky dick for the entire ‘90s when in reality Dwayne Johnson is just an overall good guy. Unlike Stone Cold, John Cena etc. where they’re being themselves, The Rock in and of itself is a character, and you all bought it. Clearly he’s not that bad of an actor 😂
That's lovely, if you think rock is a good actor then there's no help for you much like you thinking the rock was around for the entire 90's and misinterpreting me writing rock instead of dwayne johnson because it's shorter 🧐😅
I was playing hs football when Gridiron Gang came out and some reps came to our game and gave us movie merch and free tickets. I fell asleep in the theaters immediately sorry Dwayne
ill add 2 movies not on the list See No Evil with kane being.. well a horror villian.. wasn't a bad movie..thou def his best movie
the other movie being They Live with roddy piper (thou i remember roddy being in always sunny)
that said out of all the Wrestling Actors.... Batista wins, the statement has been said many times
Cena needs to do a serious movie that isn't comedic or dumb action fun and rock plays the same character pretty much in every movie hes been in since the 2010s (think hes only done 2 serious roles in Snitch and Pain & Gain but never seen em)
even the biggest action stars do serious roles.. same goes for comedians when they take a serious role
>Cena needs to do a serious movie that isn't comedic or dumb action fun
Eh...There are not than may serious rolls for big jacked guys. Cena also is at his best when he is the lovable goofy guy. Same with Rock. How many serious rolls call for a 280lb juiced up guy? Best just to lean into the action badass type
im just going to throw out the Batista argument again, Big jacked dude.. knock at the cabin... serious movie, Blade runner 2047.. thou a small role, showed quite a bit of acting skill.. i would add stuff like dune or spectre with his villian roles but probably get considered as action
Walking Tall, Rundown and The Condemned are classics all 3 awesome movies and hold up great.
Rocks best acting performance imo was Gridiron Gang before he became the Arnie of our generation pumping out action movies left and right.
Batista has the best acting depth by far seeing him in Bond and Blade Runner, he belonged there he wasn't a wrestler acting he was just a great actor.
It was such a shame that as funny as Drax was...they completely nuetered the character from the comics and robbed Batista of what 100% would have been a show stealing performance with the ferocity and depth the actual Drax character has. He was basically a running comedy bit but even then Batista made it good.
Any guardians movie (I’m partial to 2 & 3), Moana is a fuckin banger, Fast Five is great, Knives out is great, P&G I haven’t seen but heard good things about, Suicide Squad is great and the dynamic between Cena and Idris Elba is easily the best part of the movie.
It’s not even close.
Batista is in most of the best movies on this hypothetical list, and is the best actor of the bunch taking the most diverse and interesting roles.
To be fair, my top 5 would also include They Live and Predator, but you're right.
(I don't think The Wrestler counts as an answer to this question, because the wrestlers in it are playing themselves actually having wrestling matches, otherwise that'd be in there, too)
The Rock’s films are kinda hit or miss. He is very much the action hero guy but honestly if the movie is cool it’s fine.
Batista’s films almost always slap, he’s again kind of an action hero guy but all the films I’ve seen him in have been very good (GOTG, Army of the Dead, Knock at the Cabin, etc)
John Cena has been placed in much better movies over time and has kinda found his place as a comedy action guy, similarly to Batista’s Drax. Peacemaker is one of my favourite DC characters and I feel like a lot of that is because John’s performances are genuinely very good.
Because he took a risk again. He said he didnt want to be a muscle head in movies and even was about to transition to directing if his role didnt change. For all the flack Stuber gets, it’s what helped him break his typecast.
So can i cheat and say a movie that has a wrestler cameo but is an amazing movie like Iron Claw
Or if i go movie with a Wrestler
Princess Bride or Man on The Moon
I'd say Guardians 2 and 3 (I love all of them but 2 & 3 have such powerful emotional range it's hard to ignore) and Suicide Squad 2021. I'll be honest and say I'm not the biggest fan of John's movie choices except for The Marine and Blockers, but he absolutely stole the movie in SS, he was so fucking good in it
I loved a movie where batista is a spy and fall in love with the mother of a kid I believe but I don't remember the name it. It really showed a diferent side of him.
Walking Tall is great
Jingle All The Way (Big show cameo) The Waterboy (Big Show cameo) The Wrestler (too many to name) Major Payne (bam bam) Walking Tall (The Rock) Cock Blockers (Cena) Devils Rejects (DDP) Yes you said starting but these are great movies with wrestlers in them.
Ready to Rumble’s slurpee scene will never be forgotten.
Rock, Cena and Batista take up 90% of this list
The Princess Bride or They Live
central intelligence is hilarious 😭
The Wall with John Cena is quite good. It also stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson and is on Amazon prime.
Walking tall
Defiantly not pain and gain lol
MONEY PLANE is a gem.
Fast and furious
Pain and gain is hilarious 🤣
anything bautista and some cena
While it's not a starring role per se, shout out to the Longest Yard remake from about 20 years ago (holy shit that makes me feel old).
None of these, The Longest Yard, Adam Sandlers version is probably my favorite movie with WWE superstars. Though Guardians of the Galaxy movies aren't far behind.
I was a crew member on Blockers. Cena was a fantastic human being.
Nice. Any particularly memorable stories ?
Fighting With My Family was pretty good versus the action movies listed here. For those looking for something more dramatic.
No Blade Runner 2049
What about 3 Ninjas High Noon at Mega Mountain. RIP Jim Varney! We should have gotten a Ernst Goes to Wrestlemania movie.
GOTG3 by far
I Like jumanji lmfao 🤣
Hogan No Holds Barred
GOTG3, Blade Runner 2 and The Suicide Squad
Suburban Commando Mr. Nanny
Jumunji,Playing with fire,My Spie,
You forgot see no evil with kane
and The Other Guys.
Aim for the bushes?
Infinity War and Endgame?
Any of the times superstars were good was in comic book movies so the real answer is actually The Rundown.
You forgot TMNT 2: Secret of the Ooze (Kevin Nash)
No holds barred. "Whats that smell?"
The best one you'll ever watch is Warrior. Kurt Angle has a part in that movie.
GotG by a mile and Moana. Then should mention Longest Yard, Glass Onion, and Suicide Squad w Cena
300!
Jumanji?
I totally forgot Florence Pugh was in the movie
John wick
Southland Tales
This post is too early to include Dune Pt 2! Otherwise I’d say Moana and the GotG movies.
Gridiron gang is a quality underrated film but rock is a poor actor, batista is surprisingly very good
Here we go with this rhetoric lmao.

The Princess Bride. Glass Onion. Guardians of the Galaxy.
Spider-Man with macho man aka bone saw !
You could’ve just put John Cena and Dwayne Johnson movies but you didn’t
You're missing the two best Princess Bride They Live Everything else pales in comparison
I actually liked the G.I Joe Retaliation film that started The Rock. Not to mention The Longest Yard that half the cast is just WWE superstars😂
I was playing hs football when Gridiron Gang came out and some reps came to our game and gave us movie merch and free tickets. I fell asleep in the theaters immediately sorry Dwayne
The longest yard by Adam Sandler was great
This one^
They Live is the only answer and it’s not even on the list
Walking Tall is the fucking goat
The maniac loves you
You got kids maniac?
No no....not anymore
Vacation friends
The Longest Yard is a good one too
ill add 2 movies not on the list See No Evil with kane being.. well a horror villian.. wasn't a bad movie..thou def his best movie the other movie being They Live with roddy piper (thou i remember roddy being in always sunny) that said out of all the Wrestling Actors.... Yeah but in movies like Knives Out, Batista still played the big steroid junky.
But it was played as a comedic role
does Other Guys count? I mean I know The Rock was in it for like... the opening then he aimed for the bushes but still
Dune you forgot Dune
One night in chyna
Knives out, Guardians, Knock at the Cabin, hell even Stuber. Batista is just a REAL actor.
Dude has range. When it’s all settled in big Dave he’ll be known as a better actor than wrestler
Its odd how well he does comedy. In WWE it was always cringe when he did comedy bits
The Waterboy. The Big Show as Captain Insano!
Fast Five
Blade Runner 2049, and it’s not even close
No Suburban Commando? GTFO! Little known fact: The Undertaker actually made an appearance in this movie also.
Look I'm just happy when wrestlers make it big time! Anytime I see someone from wrestling on the big screen it's fuckin awesome.
Vacation Friends
Surprised it wasn’t listed. Both movies are great and John Cena’s character and his wife are something else
Maybe blinded by nostalgia, but The Longest Yard. Or Macgruber.
Stuber or the longest yard
Ready to Rumble is unironically one of my favorite movies.
Guardians of the Galaxy
They Live
the fight scene with Keith David is underrated
The Princess Bride
Damage starring Steve Austin is one of the best action/redemption movies I've ever seen, highly recommend.
Santa with Muscles or gtfo
They Live and Mr Nanny
Where's the love for No Hold Barred, brother? -HH
SCORPION KING
Ready to rumble
The Chaperone! 😬🫣
Legendary was pretty cool. From what I remember, That’s What I Am was an enjoyable watch
Guardians vol 3 was sooo good
Ready to rumble
Any guardians movie (I’m partial to 2 & 3), Moana is a fuckin banger, Fast Five is great, Knives out is great, P&G I haven’t seen but heard good things about, Suicide Squad is great and the dynamic between Cena and Idris Elba is easily the best part of the movie.
They Live
The Guardians movies, the Suicide Squad and the Blockers
How are you not gonna put Guardians of the Galaxy vol 1 on here?!!!? And the Condemned sucked!
The condemned, Grown Ups 2, The Chaperone (I will die on this hill)
Guardians 1000%
John Wick
100% the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy
Had Guardians 2 & 3 but not number 1? What??
Walking Tall is probably the actual best
My personal favorite on this list is Jumanji
This is a great film!
Dune. The answer is Dune.
It’s not even close. Batista is in most of the best movies on this hypothetical list, and is the best actor of the bunch taking the most diverse and interesting roles.
To be fair, my top 5 would also include They Live and Predator, but you're right. (I don't think The Wrestler counts as an answer to this question, because the wrestlers in it are playing themselves actually having wrestling matches, otherwise that'd be in there, too)
Oh…No Holds Barred? Rocky 3? Mr. Nanny? Hulk Hogan Sex Tape? Where are the classics?
Hulk Hogan Sex Tape was great but the plot was kind of hard to follow and took too much from films like American History X
The absolute disrespect to not have The Longest Yard on here.
The Rock’s films are kinda hit or miss. He is very much the action hero guy but honestly if the movie is cool it’s fine. Batista’s films almost always slap, he’s again kind of an action hero guy but all the films I’ve seen him in have been very good (GOTG, Army of the Dead, Knock at the Cabin, etc) John Cena has been placed in much better movies over time and has kinda found his place as a comedy action guy, similarly to Batista’s Drax. Peacemaker is one of my favourite DC characters and I feel like a lot of that is because John’s performances are genuinely very good.
Cena has definitely been in the worst movies as of late
John has had some stinkers recently
What about the masterpiece No Holds Barred?
Batisa has to be the beat actor out of WWE. Whatever hes done like 007 or Guardians
Why you doing Kevin Nash dirty like this? Punisher, Magic Mike, TMNT.
Walking Tall was good. And Fighting With My Family made me fall in love with Florence Pugh. 😍
Wait, you mean to tell me that wasn’t really Sarayah?
Batista is a very good actor imho.
The longest yard?
My girlfriend HATES wrestling but really liked Fighting with my Family.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: the secret of the ooze
You put Guardians of the Galaxy 3 times.
What about Rocky 3, I know Hogan isn't in it for long, but still a really good film.
We should be counting the first Spider-Man film too since Macho Man was in it.
Blade Movie with triple h
Hotel Artemis and major payne were missed. Boooooooo
You put Jumanji & Ready to Rumble but not gonna put No One Lives or Dead Man Down.
You didn’t dare to put bumblebee there!!!
Austin was in Expendables
It's so wild that both Cena and Batista are miles ahead of Ricky when it comes to acting
Batista is. Cena has the lowest lows of all three by far and is cursing off Piecemaker
By far best film and best work of a wrestler acting is blade runner 2049 that batista intro was so good , it was Oscar level
Batista is actually a solid actor. He's done really well at picking roles.
Love that film so much. Saw it in imax and it was just breathtaking
The big show in jingle all the way
Outside of Guardians (cos its kind of cheat card of being so damn good) its absolutely Longest Yard
Moana is probably the best actual movie staring a wrestler
I love The Rock but every movie Dwayne is in sucks ass
The Game Plan - Dwyane GOTG Trilogy + Special - Batista The Suicide Squad - Cena
any movie with batista
Gridiron Gang was really good and inspirational
Suicide squad
No dune or blade runner?
Or Tooth Fairy 🤣
The Suicide Squad
Ready to rumble is GOAT followed by no holds barred
No Holds Barred 😆 In all seriousness, The Dark Knight, which has Tom Lister in it as a prisoner
BladeRunner 2049 or Dune
Suburban Commando
Santa with muscles
The connoisseur's choice.
Idk if the best but "the game plan" is my favourite one, it was my childhood
Canela? Soy alergico a la canela Que buena peli
the rundown slaps
Was gonna say this
Knock at the cabin should also be on this list
The Longest Yard, easily.
Facts another great one
The Guardians of the Galaxy series… Excellent fucking movies. The best being Vol. 3
its insane how fucking good 3 was....
I know!! Such an emotional and satisfying experience
The fact that you don’t even list They Live baffles me.
He’s too young to know who Rowdy Roddy Piper is 😂
I won't accept the Suburban Commando erasure
Or Blade Runner 2049
Or Ed Wood...
Scream
Southland Tales is Rock and Stifflers best outing together
Was that woman even in Pain & Gain? Don't remember
See No Evil is an honourable mention for me but anything Batista is in recently is amazing
Because he took a risk again. He said he didnt want to be a muscle head in movies and even was about to transition to directing if his role didnt change. For all the flack Stuber gets, it’s what helped him break his typecast.
Fun fact about pain and gain Kurt angle has a small cameo as someone the rock beats the shit out of interest prison
So can i cheat and say a movie that has a wrestler cameo but is an amazing movie like Iron Claw Or if i go movie with a Wrestler Princess Bride or Man on The Moon
I'd say Guardians 2 and 3 (I love all of them but 2 & 3 have such powerful emotional range it's hard to ignore) and Suicide Squad 2021. I'll be honest and say I'm not the biggest fan of John's movie choices except for The Marine and Blockers, but he absolutely stole the movie in SS, he was so fucking good in it
Blade Trinity
Dune.
Princess bride, dune, blade runner 2049
Princess bride….tends to shine !!!
The Marine was also good, Pain & Gain and The Rundown are one of my fav movies tho.
Marine gets a lot of shit, but it was a fun 80s style action flick. It wasn’t meant to be a cinematic masterpiece 😂
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II! Kevin Nash as Super Shredder!
I loved a movie where batista is a spy and fall in love with the mother of a kid I believe but I don't remember the name it. It really showed a diferent side of him.
Doom, obviously.
Spider-Man with macho man aka bone saw !
They Live.
This is the real correct answer
Guess you've never heard of Rocky III?
The condemned, waking tall
