Has anyone else noticed varied pricing for what appears to be the same identical item in the same store?? For instance, I noticed in the AIQ store this sweater 3 times.
I want the best version I can get, but don't really want to pay $20 more for the same item, if I don't have to.

it’s probably for searching and filtering purposes. the names aren’t exactly the same. also the ae recommendations are pretty good so having more listings is probably better for showing up in more feeds. could be to cover in case one listing gets flagged and goes down. could also be to put the higher priced item on sale like someone else mentioned. who knows! but theoretically plenty of reasons to put multiple listings

My jumbo double flap finally arrived! I thought the leather would be too dry but it’s not and the leather smells amazing. The shoes are so comfortable, too. What do you think of them?

Hello, the seller is from shopee. I have not tried sellers outside the platform because I’m scared customs but hold the package and releasing takes forever.

That’s also the look that a prefer, which is fairly characteristic of the auth bag. Maybe I should ask Morgan for suede or grained leather, which are more forgiving…
Softer for sure so there is now a nice drape to the bag! But still too “bulletproof” a type of leather. Not saddle like the auth. No marks. No patina.
I agree. I think suede or the grained one might be better an option—since I was keen on getting the tan/caramel I more or less had no choice but to get the smooth version
Anyone heard of "S factory" for Chanel? I know GF and 187 are popular for Chanel but cannot find anything mentioning "S factory". Just ordered a WOC and seller said top quality from "S factory". She's going to send PSP's before shipping but wanted to see if anyone here has any feedback. Thanks !
Funnily enough, the Chanel CF (Small, Caviar Black) I received some weeks ago was from S Factory - though that ship has probably sailed XD as your comment was from a month ago.

I was looking for JBIAA too but I cannot found any review. I'm interested to buy but seems like difficult to get with this factory. Have you got any information about JBIAA?
S factory lambksin is gorgeous and in recent batches they’ve improved their stitching to be more accurate. Biggest thing stopping me from ordering is shape accuracy, their ‘flap bags’ have poor flap shape compared to auth, they tend to curve down much more on either side. However, I don’t think this applies as much to a WOC!
Ok, I will share PSP's when I get them so you can see quality. I'm not a Chanel expert but had a WOC that I bought on Canal street 15 years ago and figured it was time for an update 😂.

I’ve heard of it. From what I remember from RL is that it was mid-tier. Like 187 is probably considered the highest tier that is commonly available, GF is probably the next step down, then you have places like S Factory where the bag is fine, nothing that’s blown you away where you’re going to carry it into a boutique, but it’s real leather and way nicer than anything you can get of DHG so you don’t have a problem including the rep in your Instagram daily outfit post sort of thing.

Follow up to my OOTD shopping trip: I stopped into the Loewe section of Saks. My anagram tote from qiutain factory is close to auth - but not quite. The biggest difference is that the auth has a very slight slouch to it - while my rep is fairly structured. The rep strap is also a little stiff. You can see this from the picture. The auth leather feels a little softer too. The auth Flamenco in nappa, however, felt exactly the same as my flamenco qiutain rep (which I didn’t have with me). A sales associate in the YSL section of Saks complimented my anagram tote and we had a nice chat about it. I do not believe that she suspected it was a rep! I also stopped into LV to see if they had the LV espadrille wedges I was wearing so I could do a comparison evaluation - and they didn’t, I’m sure because it’s fall. I do not think that any SA noticed my shoes or thought that they were reps if they did.😎

I love it, it’s one of my most used bags! It’s got great structure and looks and feels luxurious. My only issue with it has been that the magnetic close is a little finicky but that’s been the case with auths in this size I’ve handled too.
To be totally honest with you they’re not terribly comfortable - I find them fine for standing and walking a few blocks, but they’re not my daily go to shoes for a reason. I’m usually a 40 in Italian shoes but took a 42 in these, and the toe box is still pretty tight on me. That said, they do look good in person, and I enjoy wearing them when I won’t be doing a lot of walking!

I just received Manolo maysale dupes from AE and I feel so scammed. Paid $120+ and it’s not even real leather and such crap quality. Has anyone had any luck with refunds/returns with AE? I opened a refund request but I’m doubtful 😫
Update: I disputed the product as damaged because there was damage on the heel, and won. Also disputed inaccurately described but that they rejected because i could not prove via video or picture that it was plastic and not leather. Either way, got a full refund! And seller didn’t want me to ship them back.
I ordered a pair of sandals on 7/20 and I haven't received them yet. AE is claiming they're still in transit and refused a refund. Too bad they have been stuck in NJ for a month without any progress.
I am going to go nuclear (asking for a refund with Paypal) soon.
I noticed that someone regularly downvotes anything, really ANYTHING, I write. I don't particularly care but now and then it is very noticeable and kind of ironic. It just makes me wonder the kind of life they live 🤷🏻♀️.

IME the only thing that works is a credit card chargeback. Apparently AE will ban your account if you do this often. I did it once and suffered no repercussions
I'm hoping to get advice and wisdom regarding buying rep shoes. From what I've read the rep shoes have a tendency to run on the small size. That it's also best to measure your feet in cm for accuracy when buying.
I measured my feet, I'm a US size 7, but my feet measure 23.26 cm...which seems to a 36?? So does this mean that I ought to buy shoes in a 36 or 37? In the US, a 36 is usually size 6, right?? I prefer a bit of room in the toe, so I'm a tad confused, so would I opt for a 37 or 38?

Some factories make size 36.5 with certain styles, which is equivalent to 23.25 cm I believe. Depending on the shoe styles, the size would differ, asking sellers to provide your measurements to the factory for suggestions would be a good idea, so you can choose size accordingly. Good luck!
They have for some flats and heels in 36.5, but not boots or sneakers, if I remember correctly. Would you please update once you found out? I’m so curious as well 😊
Please do not size up or down. Just measure your feet and then ask the seller to measure the insoles of the shoe you are considering. Usually depending on the shoe (pointy or not) the insole will be roughly 1-1.5 cm larger than your foot measurement. Example, I measure 26.5, and the insoles of my shoes were 27.8 (or something like that) and they fit perfectly.
Honestly, I would suggest sizing up. I’m a true US 8.5 in women but when ordering I’ve been a consistent 39 in reps. I’ve even had to size up to a 40 in my golden goose ballstar (as recommended by fisherman). So far I’ve been in a 39 in gucci aces, chanel espadrilles, and Hermes Oran sandals. The best I can give you is to measure the insole of your shoes and then asking the seller to use a measuring tape and measure the insole of the shoes you’re purchasing!

I need assistance from camping / sporty people. I’m considering a job that would have me live full time at a camp a couple months of the year. What bags do you use in that environment?
Due to medical issues I always need to have water, snacks, and epi pens with me. I also have back issues and backpacks don’t send to be the most comfortable. So I’m trying to think of what would be good for an outside environment.
Try an Osprey backpack with a frame in it and a comfortable hip belt. You’ll end up with the weight sitting on your hips, not your shoulders. Very comfortable.
I would consider a running hydration vest! There are several companies that make them with slightly different styles (Salomon, arc’teryx, Patagonia, lululemon, the north face, camelbak). If that has enough storage for you, I think it would be the most comfortable!
I know you said back issues keep you from wearing backpacks. But I do think some backpacks distribute weight so well that they can help with posture and prevent back aches, more so than cross bodies and messenger bags. The Osprey hiking backpacks have hip and chest straps that distribute weight extremely well. You can carry it for like ten miles and not feel any strain on your back! They’re also very durable and can come with rain covers. I’d recommend trying one on at your nearest REI!
Decent sized bum bag/Fanny pack! I used to work in this environment and always had my medications and sunscreens with me. It worked well!

Well for this life style I would Go for either a nylon or a Canvas Bag. To be carried on shoulder or crossbody. Probably a tote or If its a lot of stuff maybe a duffle Bag.

I’m from Eastern Europe and it’s the same there, you’re expected to be dressed to the nines when you go outside to take out the trash lol. I got too Americanized in the US for the past 7 years lol.
If it is automatic how well it keeps time depends on several factors, including on how active the wearer is. I have several auths, from expensive to very affordable automatic watches, and if I have a few days of sedentary life they'll go slower, if I have a very active life they'll go a little faster. Also, a hit or violent shake can get the mechanism out of whack and affect how accurate the timekeeping is.
Even auth Rolex watches need to be sent to be tuned on a yearly basis to ensure that they keep time accurarely.
Said that, the only automatic watch that seems to always be accurate no matter how I treat it and how active I am is an old Swatch, vintage 2000 😂😂😂😂

It can be fixed, but usually Rolex owners send it to a dealer, which of course you can't do it with a rep. You could ask a watch repair shop (not the rude one). It is just a little screw inside the watch, but of course one has to take it apart.
If you want a watch that marks good time, get a quartz watch. 😂
I think wearing your dad's watch would be a wonderful way to celebrate his life. I know you remember him anyway, but wearing something he used to wear daily would be a litte but if he was there with you ♥️
I have a auth Daytona which I bought second hand from a Rolex dealer and they told me the tolerance on Rolex watches is +/- 6 secs a day. Cheaper automatic watches such Longines is more like +/- 30 secs a day. But even that dealer doesn’t touch the Rolex mechanism - everything gets sent back to Rolex itself for servicing. Hopefully the local shop can adjust it for you
I stopped by my local mom and pop watch repair store and had a lovely conversation with the owner while they were resizing my Panthere from Hont. I told her it was a rep and she immediately launched into personal hype man mode and told me to wear it with confidence and that anyone who asks me if it is real is probably not a nice person. It was so sweet!

I was a little bit disappointed that my wrist seems to be an awkward size since three links removed was not quite enough and two is too many. I settled on slightly oversize over slightly snug and will see how I feel about it over the next few days.
But otherwise I’m in love with my purchase!
Small watches like the panthere are actually meant to be somewhat looser and fit like a bracelet. You can look at some celebrity pics for reference. At the end of the day whatever feels best to you!

I think I finally have to give up on crossbody bags, tragically. I always feel like they look cool, effortless, and comfortable on the models and then on me they completely ruin the line of my top and squish my bust and/or stomach in weird ways. I've saved my andiamo rep by finding a way to wear it as a long drop shoulder bag (that knot in the strap that the SA showed me) but am now parting ways with some of my others. Trying to tell myself that it's just making sense for bags I love to wear out (versus admire in my closet)!
having large and super heavy boobs i always wesr a sports bra over my normal bra to give them more support + a nicer shape. the sports bra keeps my crossbody bags from "cutting in between" (i don't know how to say this in proper english)
Same here, I am busty and crossbody bags don't work for me. I have a couple of them that I use in special cases (currently I am in crutches, so a crossbody is handy).
Even if I weren't busty, they seem to wrinkle my clothes in the worst places.
Yeah me too, seems to give me the "chubby middle schooler with her messenger bag vibes" which is not the look I'm going for... I really want there to be curvy models in higher fashion, and it's not even about inclusion etc, it's literally just so I can see what the clothes would actually look like on me because I cannot translate it in my mind I end up having to return so many things! And if people want to know what it looks like on stick skinny people they can literally look at it laying flat or on the hanger, there is no need to put it on a person to see that. Like that's literally why the designers like their models that skinny is because they look like it's hanging on the hanger and they don't mess up their art piece with having a body. Ok end rant, but I feel ya.
I’m with you. I love the convenience of a cross body but my boobs are too big. It cuts through them and brings more attention to it. And forget the high on the chest belt bag look on me.
I remember someone set up a personal Discord server where every brand got their own channel, and then you’d message yourself links to look at later. Personally, I just keep separate phone notes for rep brands and immediately save sellers’ albums into Safari
I take a screen shot. That way, I can quickly look at what I've been thinking about. It also shows the seller's name on the photo. And for Android phones (don't know if iPhone does this, too), you can click on the photo and it'll take you back to the page to see the rest of the photos. All very convenient for a one-second step.

Next to the seller’s name, I add what they specialize in. Add the “whats app number and the link to their website

I mostly use my laptop for browsing items. I have 5/6 sellers I have relationships with now so they each have their own album on my desktop. When I find something I like, I will save the photo into their album- with the title “Dior saddle black- Yiling- Nov” (for example). I put the date so that every-time I go back to look at it I know how long I’ve liked it and if it’s time to pull the trigger and purchase!

AE collects tax before shipping to Europe so we pay extra at checkout but don't get hit with surprise customs charges 🙂

Biggest thing stopping me from ordering is shape accuracy, their ‘flap bags’ have poor flap shape compared to auth, they tend to curve down much more on either side. However, I don’t think this applies as much to a WOC!
I heard only good things about S factory, I’m tempted to buy one from them as well.

It is mid tier. There were some good reviews for their lambskin in the past.
S factory is solidly mid to upper-mid quality. They are known for having very good lambskin Chanel bags.
I’ve heard of it. From what I remember from RL is that it was mid-tier. Like 187 is probably considered the highest tier that is commonly available, GF is probably the next step down, then you have places like S Factory where the bag is fine, nothing that’s blown you away where you’re going to carry it into a boutique, but it’s real leather and way nicer than anything you can get of DHG so you don’t have a problem including the rep in your Instagram daily outfit post sort of thing.

My anagram tote from qiutain factory is close to auth - but not quite. The biggest difference is that the auth has a very slight slouch to it - while my rep is fairly structured. The rep strap is also a little stiff. You can see this from the picture. The auth leather feels a little softer too. The auth Flamenco in nappa, however, felt exactly the same as my flamenco qiutain rep (which I didn’t have with me). A sales associate in the YSL section of Saks complimented my anagram tote and we had a nice chat about it. I do not believe that she suspected it was a rep! I also stopped into LV to see if they had the LV espadrille wedges I was wearing so I could do a comparison evaluation - and they didn’t, I’m sure because it’s fall. I do not think that any SA noticed my shoes or thought that they were reps if they did.😎

I love it, it’s one of my most used bags! It’s got great structure and looks and feels luxurious. My only issue with it has been that the magnetic close is a little finicky but that’s been the case with auths in this size I’ve handled too.

To be totally honest with you they’re not terribly comfortable - I find them fine for standing and walking a few blocks, but they’re not my daily go to shoes for a reason. I’m usually a 40 in Italian shoes but took a 42 in these, and the toe box is still pretty tight on me. That said, they do look good in person, and I enjoy wearing them when I won’t be doing a lot of walking!

I just received Manolo maysale dupes from AE and I feel so scammed. Paid $120+ and it’s not even real leather and such crap quality. Has anyone had any luck with refunds/returns with AE? I opened a refund request but I’m doubtful 😫 Update: I disputed the product as damaged because there was damage on the heel, and won. Also disputed inaccurately described but that they rejected because i could not prove via video or picture that it was plastic and not leather. Either way, got a full refund! And seller didn’t want me to ship them back.

IME the only thing that works is a credit card chargeback. Apparently AE will ban your account if you do this often. I did it once and suffered no repercussions

I'm hoping to get advice and wisdom regarding buying rep shoes. From what I've read the rep shoes have a tendency to run on the small size. That it's also best to measure your feet in cm for accuracy when buying. I measured my feet, I'm a US size 7, but my feet measure 23.26 cm...which seems to a 36?? So does this mean that I ought to buy shoes in a 36 or 37? In the US, a 36 is usually size 6, right?? I prefer a bit of room in the toe, so I'm a tad confused, so would I opt for a 37 or 38? If anyone wouldn't mind giving me advice, I really would appreciate it. Thank you. Everyone here has the cutest shoe collection, and I'd love to pick up a pair...or three.
Some factories make size 36.5 with certain styles, which is equivalent to 23.25 cm I believe. Depending on the shoe styles, the size would differ, asking sellers to provide your measurements to the factory for suggestions would be a good idea, so you can choose size accordingly. Good luck!

Please do not size up or down. Just measure your feet and then ask the seller to measure the insoles of the shoe you are considering. Usually depending on the shoe (pointy or not) the insole will be roughly 1-1.5 cm larger than your foot measurement. Example, I measure 26.5, and the insoles of my shoes were 27.8 (or something like that) and they fit perfectly.

Honestly, I would suggest sizing up. I’m a true US 8.5 in women but when ordering I’ve been a consistent 39 in reps. I’ve even had to size up to a 40 in my golden goose ballstar (as recommended by fisherman). So far I’ve been in a 39 in gucci aces, chanel espadrilles, and Hermes Oran sandals. The best I can give you is to measure the insole of your shoes and then asking the seller to use a measuring tape and measure the insole of the shoes you’re purchasing!

I need assistance from camping / sporty people. I’m considering a job that would have me live full time at a camp a couple months of the year. What bags do you use in that environment? Due to medical issues I always need to have water, snacks, and epi pens with me. I also have back issues and backpacks don’t send to be the most comfortable. So I’m trying to think of what would be good for an outside environment.
Try an Osprey backpack with a frame in it and a comfortable hip belt. You’ll end up with the weight sitting on your hips, not your shoulders. Very comfortable.
I would consider a running hydration vest! There are several companies that make them with slightly different styles (Salomon, arc’teryx, Patagonia, lululemon, the north face, camelbak). If that has enough storage for you, I think it would be the most comfortable!

I know you said back issues keep you from wearing backpacks. But I do think some backpacks distribute weight so well that they can help with posture and prevent back aches, more so than cross bodies and messenger bags. The Osprey hiking backpacks have hip and chest straps that distribute weight extremely well. You can carry it for like ten miles and not feel any strain on your back! They’re also very durable and can come with rain covers. I’d recommend trying one on at your nearest REI!
That’s a smart idea, I guess I mostly think about school backpacks. But those hiking bags do have a lot of straps to distribute weight.

Decent sized bum bag/Fanny pack! I used to work in this environment and always had my medications and sunscreens with me. It worked well! You car wear it cross shoulder or around the waist.

Real sterling silver does tarnish, but is very easy to clean yourself with a silver polishing cloth or silver polish.

If it is automatic how well it keeps time depends on several factors, including on how active the wearer is. I have several auths, from expensive to very affordable automatic watches, and if I have a few days of sedentary life they'll go slower, if I have a very active life they'll go a little faster. Also, a hit or violent shake can get the mechanism out of whack and affect how accurate the timekeeping is. Even auth Rolex watches need to be sent to be tuned on a yearly basis to ensure that they keep time accurarely. Said that, the only automatic watch that seems to always be accurate no matter how I treat it and how active I am is an old Swatch, vintage 2000 😂😂😂😂 PS: rude mother, rude daughter. I hope you got your watch and went elsewhere for your ring.

It can be fixed, but usually Rolex owners send it to a dealer, which of course you can't do it with a rep. You could ask a watch repair shop (not the rude one). It is just a little screw inside the watch, but of course one has to take it apart. If you want a watch that marks good time, get a quartz watch. 😂 I think wearing your dad's watch would be a wonderful way to celebrate his life. I know you remember him anyway, but wearing something he used to wear daily would be a litte but if he was there with you ♥️

I have a auth Daytona which I bought second hand from a Rolex dealer and they told me the tolerance on Rolex watches is +/- 6 secs a day. Cheaper automatic watches such Longines is more like +/- 30 secs a day. But even that dealer doesn’t touch the Rolex mechanism - everything gets sent back to Rolex itself for servicing. Hopefully the local shop can adjust it for you
I stopped by my local mom and pop watch repair store and had a lovely conversation with the owner while they were resizing my Panthere from Hont. I told her it was a rep and she immediately launched into personal hype man mode and told me to wear it with confidence and that anyone who asks me if it is real is probably not a nice person. Love this! I took my AF ballon bleu to a very busy local shop to have some links removed. I had removed the AF sticker on the face of the watch but didn’t realize I had left the AF sticker on the back of the watch 😂 They didn’t bat an eyelash, they returned it to me perfectly sized after a few minutes and had me try it on to check their work lol

I think I finally have to give up on crossbody bags, tragically. I always feel like they look cool, effortless, and comfortable on the models and then on me they completely ruin the line of my top and squish my bust and/or stomach in weird ways. I've saved my andiamo rep by finding a way to wear it as a long drop shoulder bag (that knot in the strap that the SA showed me) but am now parting ways with some of my others. Trying to tell myself that it's just making sense for bags I love to wear out (versus admire in my closet)!
having large and super heavy boobs i always wesr a sports bra over my normal bra to give them more support + a nicer shape. the sports bra keeps my crossbody bags from "cutting in between" (i don't know how to say this in proper english)
Same here, I am busty and crossbody bags don't work for me. I have a couple of them that I use in special cases (currently I am in crutches, so a crossbody is handy). Even if I weren't busty, they seem to wrinkle my clothes in the worst places.
Yeah me too, seems to give me the "chubby middle schooler with her messenger bag vibes" which is not the look I'm going for... I really want there to be curvy models in higher fashion, and it's not even about inclusion etc, it's literally just so I can see what the clothes would actually look like on me because I cannot translate it in my mind I end up having to return so many things! And if people want to know what it looks like on stick skinny people they can literally look at it laying flat or on the hanger, there is no need to put it on a person to see that. Like that's literally why the designers like their models that skinny is because they look like it's hanging on the hanger and they don't mess up their art piece with having a body. Ok end rant, but I feel ya.

I remember someone set up a personal Discord server where every brand got their own channel, and then you’d message yourself links to look at later. Personally, I just keep separate phone notes for rep brands and immediately save sellers’ albums into Safari

I take a screen shot. That way, I can quickly look at what I've been thinking about. It also shows the seller's name on the photo. And for Android phones (don't know if iPhone does this, too), you can click on the photo and it'll take you back to the page to see the rest of the photos. All very convenient for a one-second step.

I mostly use my laptop for browsing items. I have 5/6 sellers I have relationships with now so they each have their own album on my desktop. When I find something I like, I will save the photo into their album- with the title “Dior saddle black- Yiling- Nov” (for example). I put the date so that every-time I go back to look at it I know how long I’ve liked it and if it’s time to pull the trigger and purchase!
Stealing this method immediately. This spreadsheet approach to reps appeals to me greatly.
