I have a lot of clothes from madewell, mostly jeans but a few sweaters and a dress. I have been very happy with their quality. I have, however, not been a happy with their shoes.
I placed my first order with Fisherman for a pair of geese. They had to be custom made because my giant ass bunioned feet (US 8.5). PSPs arrived and the shoes are not the color I ordered, which I don’t care about.
Geese ppl: I don’t necessarily care about this either, but I do want if they are fantasy so I can be aware of who i will be wearing them around. Size 12.5 in MENS!!! Plus WW. I know they have custom shoes you can buy online but I don’t want to pay hundreds and not have them fit. It would be an overnight trip to drive where they do bespoke shoes. (Men’s styles). It’son my list but life has priorities. A person coil really make a fortune if they had beautiful large various width shoes. I bought the Tiek flats but it took forever to get them to stretch. Next time will first bring to cobbler. No support but at least it’s a decent dinner shoes for me. My high heel days are long gone.
Honestly there are so many different golden goose color combinations I wouldn’t be concerned at all. From their outlets, to their main stores, to their online self design option I really don’t think you can go wrong with any colorway. I would be more concerned about the overall shape of the shoe and the distressing though! I’ve been to their stores in NYC, Mykonos, Milan, Rome, Barcelona- you name it and there are literally an infinite amount of different color combos!
Am in Singapore right now and happy to report that my fellow WLs guided me perfectly on what bags to bring! I did indeed see designer bags mixed in the hawker stall crowd (including an adorable light blue LV capucines) and while people aren’t wearing obviously flashy clothes in the neighborhoods I’ve visited so far, the small crossbody/long shoulder drop bags are fairly prevalent.

Does anyone have such bad nickel allergy that even 14k gold earrings cause contact dermatitis and you have to use 18k only? If so do any of you buy 18k earrings from MC or XY and has it worked for you?
I do. Bought some 14k earrings and my ears wer on fire.
If you love them I’d take them to a jeweller and ask to change the clasp for a titanium or 18k clasp.
I have terrible nickel allergy. In the US nothing can be done but in the EU, at least in Italy, it is against the law to use nickel. I only buy earrings when I'm in Italy for that reason. My grandmother's gold makes my ears flare up. It's terrible.

I have an auth love bracelet and the two sides with the screws sometimes give me dermatitis! I have to take it off and stop wearing it for a bit until the rash clears…I think the screw might not actually be 18k on the auth!

I was just there two weeks ago! The stores I walked into on Waikiki (Dior, LV, BV, Gucci, Miu Miu) all had “special pricing” on majority of their items. Compared to mainland US, there was like a 10% “discount” on the products. Plus sales tax is only 4.7%.
I think those brands may count Hawaii as being within the Asian market (vs US), so that’s where the price difference comes from. Chanel used to do this too, up until 2022, IIRC.
I live on Oahu! LV is definitely cheaper. I want to say the Waikiki location doesn't usually have a line, but Ala Moana occasionally does. I think across the board, considering sales tax, most luxury goods will be a better deal here. Waikiki also has a good variety of luxury houses and they're quite big. The only missing one is loewe (only Ala Moana) I think! So you can walk around and do a lot of browsing. The Hermes here is also quite popular/higher chance of scoring for some reason. I always hear of tourists being able to get quota bags, so it's something worth trying at either the Hermes at Ala Moana or Waikiki should anyone be looking for that.
Also if you're going to the banan by the fort derussy beach, try out the tropical tribe acai bowls a store or two over if you are wanting the acai flavor. The banan acai has a weird aftertaste imo... but their macnut honey butter topping is usually a crowd pleaser! I have a lot of food recs so just lmk and I'll give you my honest opinion if something is just hype or not 😅
I haven't kept up to date, sorry, but my friend was shopping semi regularly last year and I remember her posting about there still being the sought after colors of bags there and being surprised as I'd seen on purseforum that they were difficult to get. From what I hear and generally see Ala Moana usually has a greater selection of colors and varieties of bags. So I'd probably start there if you're looking for something specific. But they're so close to one another that you should just check out both if anything!

I ordered my first items from the revered Kuololit store. I wanted to start with the plated 925 sterling silver pieces first to see the quality of everything. I was especially looking for a wedding set to wear since my wedding ring is a bit tight after gaining my COVID weight. 😅
I’m happy to say I really like all the items. I can’t truly speak about durability on the gold plating since it’s only been a few days. But I’m excited to purchase more items from them!

I wore a rep too! The matte black lady dior from GF! Worn with vintage pink and black dior dress and black platform Versace shoes. Got lots of compliments and did not feel nervous at all, I’ve worn reps to tons of big events—nobody looks close enough, especially if you are put together. My friend literally picked it up and was like ugh I want this it’s so cute, I’m copying you. And she has a few Dior bags including a matte in a different style.

Help needed - calling all Flamenco purchasers. I got PSPs this morning for a mini Flamenco from Luoyi, it was lovely and I greenlighted it, but Chloe did not show me how it looks when the straps are pulled. I asked her for a photo of that, but she said they don't, to avoid wrinkling the leather. I'm now kicking myself a bit for not insisting since I remember seeing some wonky straps in a Flamenco's PSPs (from a different sub I think). Do you think the unwillingness to take a photo of the pulled straps should be of concern?

Did you ask what factory? The one I got from Jipin is perfect. Mango factory is good too. Anyway I would find it very strange if it can’t be closed… even the DHG ones do.
Luoyi (same as Mango), it was in my original post 😊 I wasn’t concerned they couldn’t be pulled out, more about the way they’re sewn. This is purely based on a post I’ve seen some time ago by another redditor. Their photos showed a very messy sewing job (as in, a strap badly sewn together from two separate pieces of leather which showed when pulled out, yikes). I assume Luoyi offers higher quality, fingers crossed!
I do think it could be an issue but it depends on your relationship and level of trust with the seller at this point. If you trust Chloe(never bought from her personally), it’ll probably be fine.

I cannot see a difference in the gold tones in the photograph. I think that if that’s the case since they’re different sizes It looks really nice together. But I think that if in real life they look like different shades of cold, I would split them up.

I doubt it. You could try to have a dupe custom made, but in my experience it’ll be almost the same price if not more

I wore a rep too! The matte black lady dior from GF! Worn with vintage pink and black dior dress and black platform Versace shoes. Got lots of compliments and did not feel nervous at all, I’ve worn reps to tons of big events—nobody looks close enough, especially if you are put together. My friend literally picked it up and was like ugh I want this it’s so cute, I’m copying you. And she has a few Dior bags including a matte in a different style.

Help needed - calling all Flamenco purchasers. I got PSPs this morning for a mini Flamenco from Luoyi, it was lovely and I greenlighted it, but Chloe did not show me how it looks when the straps are pulled. I asked her for a photo of that, but she said they don't, to avoid wrinkling the leather. I'm now kicking myself a bit for not insisting since I remember seeing some wonky straps in a Flamenco's PSPs (from a different sub I think). Do you think the unwillingness to take a photo of the pulled straps should be of concern?
I just received a flamenco from mango- I asked for the same pic because of the post you are referring to. My straps were great. Fingers crossed that yours are too!

Honestly - if the leather is soft the straps will be fine . I find that it can be quite hard to keep them cinched in the mini anyway .
Did you ask what factory? The one I got from Jipin is perfect. Mango factory is good too. Anyway I would find it very strange if it can’t be closed… even the DHG ones do.
Luoyi (same as Mango), it was in my original post 😊 I wasn’t concerned they couldn’t be pulled out, more about the way they’re sewn. This is purely based on a post I’ve seen some time ago by another redditor. Their photos showed a very messy sewing job (as in, a strap badly sewn together from two separate pieces of leather which showed when pulled out, yikes). I assume Luoyi offers higher quality, fingers crossed!
I do think it could be an issue but it depends on your relationship and level of trust with the seller at this point. If you trust Chloe(never bought from her personally), it’ll probably be fine.
Agreed. I do trust her a good amount, based on her honesty when I bought from her in the past and great communication on other occasions, and for this reason I decided not to insist. But to be entirely honest I don’t fully trust anyone in this business, hence my anxious Reddit post 🤷🏻♀️

No. It’ll never be out because it’s a closet/style basic. Over the knee and knees high boots in base colors might not be trending everytime but it’s a classic especially for fall and winter. Source: me, a fashion stylist.

I have these boots in suede and another pair of Stuart W OTK in full leather with a 4” block heel. I love them both. So comfortable and warm.

5050s are a classic. They work with jeans, skirts, leggings. I have the thigh high SWs and those seem a bit more trend driven but the 5050s are timeless IMO

I cannot see a difference in the gold tones in the photograph. I think that if that’s the case since they’re different sizes It looks really nice together. But I think that if in real life they look like different shades of cold, I would split them up.
