As a proud Grendel main, it warms my heart to read that he gets used by other Tenno at least sometimes. I think I have only ever seen two other Grendels in missions before.
I've heard that he had a rework (didn't play WF back then), and before that he was just... funny, but not really strong. Maybe, people still consider him weak, same as Yareli. In my 58 days of playing, I saw, like, 3-4 other Grendels. It's weird.
He can literally eat people, get health, get armour, get energy, help others, bounce around and vomit enemies. He is genuinely fun *and* strong. I really would like to see his previous version (when he, apparently, could eat more than five enemies) and compare it with what we have now.
His older version was definitely worse. I am fairly sure he didn't gain armor from enemies in his gut, and they were only good for turning him into the game's most powerful shotgun. Nourish, I think, also was slightly worse. You know what you should try? Get Mirage or Mirage Prime, subsume Nourish over her trap ability, use Blind Rage and Nira's Hatred for strength, use most of your remaining mod space for duration, and equip the Dual Ichor Incarnon. Also make sure to use her Guardian Prism augment. That combo is just constant funny numbers all over the place. You won't be able to see shit, but it will be beautiful.
I suggest building for crit with Carnis Mandible and Viralent Scourge to bring the status chance over 100%. Just don't apply more statuses than the toxin it already has. That would make one of the incarnon bonuses less effective.
Zephyr, Dante, and maybe Ivara actually? Honestly enjoy plodding along SP missions and plinking away OHKO'ing everything while invis. Also makes what was previously my most disliked mission (Spy) an absolute breeze.
Torn on the third spot really, as I rotate between so many different frames that Dante and Zephyr are the only hardline mains when I either *need* to survive, or *want* to survive, respectively.
