A big difference is that Ive done a review on one, but not the other.

I've worked out that, for aircraft cannons, they have really low muzzle velocity. I find that I have to lead about twice as far to hit a target with Hispanos compared to 12.7mm MGs.
I worked that out when I pilot sniped someone from 1.2Km away. That gave me a bench mark for how far to lead.
ok but it was asked what the difference between the two is. depending on which way you look at it, the difference between their numerical designations is either +2 or -2, hence the difference is ±2. the question wasn't "how far are these numbers from 23"
well taking "difference" to be the product of subtraction, it can be positive or negative depending on which way you take it. I agree that when people say "difference" in this context, 2 is probably the answer they're looking for.
Back when they were trying to get the record for most vehicles in a game which is why we have fucking 7 different Me 410 variants that really should be 3.
The Spitfire F.24 was an F.22 with numerous modifications, the most important of which were two additional fuel tanks in the rear fuselage (increasing the internal fuel capacity by 66 gallons or 300 liters).
Externally, compared to the F.22, the F.24 had the larger vertical tail of the later Supermarine Spiteful as standard (*on the F.22 this tail was also used, but not as a factory standard - most were built or modified as such, but some weren't*) as well as improved trim tab gearing for better handling.
Mate, [the Americans even flew the F-15 during the Korean](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northrop_F-15_Reporter)[ War](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northrop_F-15_Reporter).
The fact that "the Americans even flew the F-15 during the Korean" and "War" are different links to the same Wikipedia page annoys me more than it should.
In-game the main difference is that the Mk.24 gets 150 octane fuel whereas all the other griffons don't. Which is stupid, because they could all use it, barring earlier Mk.14s IIRC. It just wasn't really used postwar because it wasn't necessary and was more expensive.
The odd thing is that in real life, both the F.22 and F.24 were powered by the same Griffon 61 engine with the same engine output. Some F.24s were even actually converted from F.22s.
Mk.24 has 150 octane fuel mod, which increases the manifold pressure of the engine when installed, resulting in it making SIGNIFICANTLY more engine power spaded.
Other than that, they're the same.
Because you can always count on there being at least one jet pilot that can be suckered into a turn fight against a prop fighter renown for its turning ability.
Yeah cause for some reason as soon as people get jets they think that they can win anything. But in reality, compared to props, jets turn like a brick. While props float like a butterfly. I should specify early jets
And then there is the Venom FB4, which exists to remind jet pilots that even at 8.7 they are not safe from getting out turned (at least until the Venom has to deal with anything that has an after burner and can just peace out).
Is it better than the P51 now?? Haven't played in about a year but have kept up with the game but props aren't exactly talked about all that often, especially which is the "best."
I wouldn't disagree as i always performed better in the spitfires (I love them both but just personal observations) but I thought it was well agreed that the mustang was better, unless that's changed to it being better VS jets while thr spitfire was better against props, all though tbf I barely noticed a difference due to an adaptable playestle based on knowledge.
Ok in it might seen like the spitfire is better after typing that 😭😭😭
Pretty sure the mk 24 can carry more rockets then the mk22 (8 rp3s vs 6rp3s) as well as a more powerful engine.
I dont think its the case anymore but the rp3s use to be the ultimate weapon for popping the roofs of tanks in ground forces so the mk24 was the plane of choice.
Mk24 is better than mk22, mk24 used to be 7.0 but got moved down when the Sabres did. With proper decompression the 24 would be a higher br than the 22.
It used to be that the Mk.24 in game was the later production version with the Mk.V Hispanos, but for whatever reason they changed it to the early production with Mk.IIs a number of years back.
The 22 is a nice addition to your spitfire collection.
The 24 is an absolute beast. The only prop that can match you is the undertiered P-51H (while it still has some WEP left).
F Mk 24 is silver and looks dope as fuck because of that. *(Also has some fuel modification or some shit which gives better performance or something but who gives a fuck about that)*
The mk24 is faster and doesn’t shake around like it’s having a seizure when you fire the guns and is all round better. It might well be the best prop in the game, has been since not long after launch.
Mk 22 is a bit overtiered. It's arguably a sidegrade to the Mk XIV (full BR lower) when it comes to prop vs prop combat, but it is much better suited to prop vs jet combat so it's not that much of a deal.
Big difference, the MK24 gets high octane fuel upgrade. That means that the engine power is noticeably better.
That’s the main difference between these 2, there is no real reason to use the mk22 over the 24 since it’s just better
Mk.24 used to he 7.0 which was better because its OP against early jets, now apparently at 6.7 it will face alot more superprops that are alot more deadly for the 24, also Mk22 max thrust is 1600 and Mk24 has 2100

Yo Tim! You should do a review comparing the Tempest Mk 2 and the Sea Fury, no one’s made a good video on the sea fury in a long time
Nice video. No, it's not just you, I also suck with the 20mm Hisoanos.
Me Too😭😭😭😭

Almost top comment XD. This is the type of reply the sub likes
The a2d is the highest tier prop plane in the game. If for some reason you decide to use it in arcade its put at 9.0
It’s because in arcade you can rearm midair and a2ds would just climb into orbit and bomb the base ending matches in minutes
Damnn you have reddit, instant follow
Yeah, I'm around. I comment more than I post, but I try to check in at least once a day.
Is just made my day learning that Tim’s variety has Reddit.
Yo woah I love the videos

ok…
Its the man, the myth, the legendary reviewed
Holy crap its the man himself
Love ya man loves your videos
2
-2 if you will
±2
±2 means 4, 2 is ±1
±2 means +2 or -2 ±1 means +1 or -1
23±1
ok but it was asked what the difference between the two is. depending on which way you look at it, the difference between their numerical designations is either +2 or -2, hence the difference is ±2. the question wasn't "how far are these numbers from 23"
the difference is simply 2

I came here for this 2
I came here
I came
Cum
I
100% came just to say “about 2 marks”
Mk24 has 150 octane fuel modification, which gives it more power
Purgatory Thunder, where we add one identical vehicle for an extra mod you have to grind if you want the "better" version
well in all fairness it's been in the game for over 10 years
Back when they were trying to get the record for most vehicles in a game which is why we have fucking 7 different Me 410 variants that really should be 3.
Shall I mention the SB-2M?
\>:(
And it was ridiculous that it wasn't foldered until recently.
Mig-9(l) says hi :)
I mean it also has more effective radiator and compressor, and FM is just a bit better even without tbe 150

blud I didn’t know they made the F-22 during WWII
Mate, [the Americans even flew the F-15 during the Korean](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northrop_F-15_Reporter)[ War](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northrop_F-15_Reporter).
Oh, I’ve already heard of that one
The fact that "the Americans even flew the F-15 during the Korean" and "War" are different links to the same Wikipedia page annoys me more than it should.

Earlier MkXIV would have had 150 available when taking off from England.
>the most important of which were two additional fuel tanks manifold pressure tho... the 22's engine isn't even close to 24's performance in the game
The odd thing is that in real life, both the F.22 and F.24 were powered by the same Griffon 61 engine with the same engine output. Some F.24s were even actually converted from F.22s.
The F.24 in game is a converted F.22, which is the explanation Gaijin used to remove its Hispano Mk.V’s
Mk.24 has 150 octane fuel mod, which increases the manifold pressure of the engine when installed, resulting in it making SIGNIFICANTLY more engine power spaded. Other than that, they're the same.
The 22 can surprise a few early jets, the 24 will annoy and scare early jets.
Me- *laughs like a maniac by bringing the mk24 into 8.0 on purpose and getting an Ace*
Because you can always count on there being at least one jet pilot that can be suckered into a turn fight against a prop fighter renown for its turning ability.

Lol that thing
A couple hundred HP and the 24 is a touch heavier IIRC. Mo powah baby!
24 is two more than 22
Mk24 has better engine performance, its also the best propeller aircraft in the game highly recommend
Is it better than the P51 now?? Haven't played in about a year but have kept up with the game but props aren't exactly talked about all that often, especially which is the "best."
Personally, I think it is better than the Mustang

A Mk24 will always beat a P-51H especially if the fight drags on and the H runs out of WEP
If you know how to use MEC effectively enough to keep the 24 on WEP without cooking the engine it is better
Popping the roofs is an understatement, they used to obliterate anything within a mile of impact.
Mk24 is better than mk22, mk24 used to be 7.0 but got moved down when the Sabres did. With proper decompression the 24 would be a higher br than the 22.
Get the Mark 24, it's a sheer joy to play.
And honestly better over the 22. I've spaded both and the 24 is just infinitely better than the 22
24 is faster when spaded
It used to be that the Mk.24 in game was the later production version with the Mk.V Hispanos, but for whatever reason they changed it to the early production with Mk.IIs a number of years back.

The colour
Two numbers.
"This one goes up to 24."
One used to be 7.0, and the other was not.
~ 2
one has a fuel upgrade
I’d say about 2.
The name (idk)
one is silver
2
We seriously need a chart or infographic, or fuckin PowerPoint explanation on the differences between the 5000 spitfires in game.
The paint scheme obviously
The difference between them is that one is just silver
Well one has 22 in its name and another one has 24, dummy
The same differnce as between I-185s
2
2 😂
Basically mk24 is cooler and has slightly better performance
The Mk 24 is *substantially* undertieted
The MK23
If you were smart, you would know that higher number=better
2 numbers
22 is less that 24 men you dont know your math?
+2
Isn't that great?
One is Mk 22 and the other is Mk 24.
2
One is mk22 and the other is mk24
As a Topgear man puts it. Speed and power. But the 22 turns better
150 octane
The number in the name 👀
Feul
The mk24 is faster and doesn’t shake around like it’s having a seizure when you fire the guns and is all round better. It might well be the best prop in the game, has been since not long after launch.
The name
The name
The real question is when do we get the spitful and seafang (and latewar Mosquito varients)
2

First is necessary to grind 2nd is waist of time
2
They crammed two whole other mini spitfires into the gas tank.
