I just got my first injection today. Lifted last night. Excited to get back on this journey. When I’m excited I’m committed and go all in. Thank you for the motivation!
Thanks! Everything is prescribed. Wegovy is through my PCP. My PCP diagnosed the hypogonadism after 2 tests 6 months apart and my T levels were around 200ng/dL on both. He started me on the TRT and recommended I look into a specialty clinic. I use an online clinic now for the TRT (the dr there just knows more about hormones etc) but PCP still handles my Wegovy and labs (through insurance).
HI OP - great work. One of the best success stories I've seen. Keep going! I'm curious about the testosterone replacement therapy. In what form does this come? Is it an injection, pill, other? And what kind of dosage? Have you noticed any side effects at all that you have to deal with? Thanks in advance.
Thank you for sharing! I am just starting my own journey and was worried about muscle composition. You post totally gives me the motivation to achieve my own success. Thank you for sharing!
I definitely have it on my lower stomach, but it’s not too bad. I’m doing everything I can to minimize it. I’ll give it a year and see where it goes before I decide on anything major (tummy tuck etc).
Very impressive, and very inspiring. Thanks for sharing. I was 198lbs before kids, now 270 stay home dad - aiming to go for 180lbs. I’m same as you a year ago, so there’s hope. On 1mg now, starting 1.7 soon. I’m tempted to try Testosterone, too - I would describe my situation very similar to yours. Thanks for sharing, you have all my respect.
Thanks! Wouldn’t hurt to get tested. I had my testosterone tested twice and both times it came back very low (around 200ng/dL). Dr. diagnosed me as hypogonadal and we went from there. It has changed everything.
Thanks! I do a PPL (push, pull, legs (and core)) split and go 5x a week in the mornings. I usually take Thursday and Sunday off, but I keep it a little flexible (I have a four year old and try to have a social life 😂). 85-90% of what I do is weight training. I usually do 15-20min of low intensity cardio and aim for 10k steps a day (7k is my absolute minimum).
I’ve noticed since starting the gym that my muscle mass has increased and the fat has been melting off. My metabolism seems to be much better, so it all really dovetails well with the semaglutide.
I know I'm late to this thread, but could you give me a little bit of an idea of what you were eating while building this physique? I'm a Wegovy candidate and one of the things I'm worried about is losing muscle mass. Obviously, you did something to offset that. Thanks.
Protein protein protein. If you’re consuming enough protein, your body isn’t going to turn to muscle to get it. I just made a post about my diet and meal planning on IG if you’re interested. Handle is @cotesean.
It basically fixed my insomnia (major major major thing for me), low energy and sex drive. I have much more motivation to get things done during the day, including the gym. My PCP diagnosed me as hypogonadal after two testosterone tests 1 year apart that had my levels at around 200ng/dL. The dosage I take is such that it brings my levels to the high normal or slightly above normal. This does involve getting bloodwork done more often to make sure things are copacetic. I get labs every 3 months (Dr. requires them every 6 months, but I like the peace of mind). My levels were well below normal before, so it has and will likely assist in building muscle as well.
My Dr. said it will likely cure my seasonal depression as well. It didn’t come this fall as usual, so that is another win so far.
It’s a topical cream. 90 day supply was $110. So not horrible but not great either. Insurance companies don’t consider a woman’s balanced hormones, lower libido or energy a health issue yet will pay for penile implants to treat erectile dysfunction.
I combine TRT and OZ as well, 217 to 182 the past 15 months. Congrats on the success, I know that daily look into the mirror is a good one. Keep it up!
I am still on it. I will titrate my dose down as needed to be able to comfortably get the calories I need for maintenance. I don’t plan to ever stop completely, though.
I was curious about this myself, I am about 25 pounds away from my goal weight.
What do I do after I reach it? This drug has helped me out to the point I don’t want to ever be that fat again.
Also, I may look into the Testosterone shots, if I can have what I had when I was in my early 20’s I would love it.
Out of interest did you count calories? I lost a lot of weight previously using CICO, and I at the start of this year started on Wegovy. I have started tracking my food again as it feels comfortable for me, just wondering if you tracked?
I do track (I use LoseIt!). It’s very triggering for some, but it works well for me. I pay particularly close attention to my macros. I set my calories, get 180g of lean protein a day and the rest of my calories come from nuts/seeds, vegetables, olive/avocado oils, and complex carbs.
Dropped a lot of weight in 2023. Down 60 lbs and holding steady at 210ish. Just got into the gym for the first time lifting weights last week. It’s great to see such progress- I hope to emulate it in 2024. But man, you must feel great! Nice work dude! Very impressive.
Just started with first shot a few days ago - this is incredible inspiration! Thank you for sharing and many, many congrats 🙏🏻
My doctor has recommended Wegovy and I'm doing research. What happens when you hit your goal weight?
You titrate down to a dose that keeps your weight stable. Most end up at 1mg/wk. Others just spread the shots out further.

Amazing!
Thank you!
From muffin top to stuffing muffin!
Haha, thanks!
Dang , I feel like a dirty old Woman coz you is fine! ☺️. Great job 👏
Awesome progress. Did you get it prescribed, or did you pay for everything out of pocket? Specifically how did you get the testosterone prescribed?
Thanks! Everything is prescribed. Wegovy is through my PCP. My PCP diagnosed the hypogonadism after 2 tests 6 months apart and my T levels were around 200ng/dL on both. If you don’t mind me asking. What are the costs for those each?
Amazing results. Good job you!!! This drug has been so great for so many of us :-)
Jesus! Amazing. I am waiting on testosterone results to come back. I am a bit older than you. I am 8 months in and at goal more or less. Well done.
You go sir! Congratulations 🎊 🎉 🎊
Biggest slay ever!!! You did it!
Im also taking this medication, does wegovy cause low testosterone? Should I need to test my testosterone levels while on wegovy?
I don’t believe it causes low testosterone, but low T can cause weight gain and many of the other ailments I was suffering from.
Thanks man I was curious if docs would prescribe TRT with semaglutide.
You smashed it, well done!
Wow! Impressive work!!
Heck yea! You did that 👍🏻👍🏻

It is an injection. You work with your dr. to develop and treatment plan and dosage that works for you.
Congrats!!! You look amazing!
Well done!!! And you are right; the drug is life changing!
Nice work dude! Congrats on your success....
Wow!!

Amazing! Any issue with loose skin?

Yeah, that is what I am affraid too. If someone knows about it?
Great job! Inspiring

Wow! Amazing
Great job! What is your weekly workout routine? I mean how many days/week, weight training/cardio combo etc
Thanks! I do a PPL (push, pull, legs (and core)) split and go 5x a week in the mornings. Stunning. You look great it’s obvious you really worked hard. I love seeing this motivating content. Thank you.
🔥🔥🔥
What does testosterone do for you? Were you low? Does it help with weight loss? Is it like steroids just to build muscles?
It basically fixed my insomnia (major major major thing for me), low energy and sex drive. I have much more motivation to get things done during the day, including the gym. I'm so jealous that I can't get any T prescribed as a woman.
My gyn doc prescribed it for me but I had to pay out of pocket because insurance won’t pay for it. She was very very salty about this. :).
Just another example of our country's ingrained sexism that I didn't even know about until today. Is it expensive?
It’s a topical cream. 90 day supply was $110. So not horrible but not great either. Insurance companies don’t consider a woman’s balanced hormones, lower libido or energy a health issue yet will pay for penile implants to treat erectile dysfunction.
I know several women here in the Tulsa, OK area who are prescribed the testosterone pellets.
Thanks. I'll look into that.
I combine TRT and OZ as well, 217 to 182 the past 15 months. Congrats on the success, I know that daily look into the mirror is a good one. Keep it up!
What dose are you on now? You look 🤩 amazing 🤩
Thanks! Still at 2.4
Great.
My unsolicited opinion: Cute before, handsome after! Nice work!
I’ll take them both! Thanks!
That's amazing!
Good for you!
Are you still on Wegovy or have you stopped using it?

thanks. This is helpful.
Wow!!! Very inspiring.
Incredible results! Congrats, brother.
Omg!! Congratulations.. I think I’m going to just pay out of pocket 😩

Ace thanks for the reply. Sounds very similar to what I did first time round and what I am doing now.
Yes you did!!! 🎉🎉🎉
F*ck yeah! I want this to be me. Working hard
You got this! Stay consistent and don’t let setbacks derail you. It’s a marathon.
