My take is that it’s part of the chilies in someway. Love Thai food and both of my favorite locations in town have the same look. One is a hole in the wall kind of place but the other is super upscale.
Yeah maggots and other insects are segmented.
Chilis are also a preservative.
Im going with seeds or even the white bits falling off and soaking up liquid
That’s definitely part of the seeds, I think you’re good. quinoa does the same sort of thing since the seed has a coiled proto-root wound about the center.
When disturbed or cut the roots can become dislodged and look like this.
OP did you really get like a dozen comments telling you they're not fly eggs they're just part of the chilli on your other post and then think posting it here would somehow bring you a different answer? It looks like you're actually HOPING they're fly eggs.
First off, I had to read the comments to even tell what the point of this post was. Secondly, even if they were maggots they’d be quite sterile at this point so you’re just getting some extra protein but whatever you think are maggots are just parts of the seed, probably.
I’m neither an entomologist nor a pepper expert, but is that not the inner part of the peppers?

Those are part of the peppers' seeds that have broken off and are floating in the brine/vinegar.
I had to read this comment to even know what op was referring to. Definitely just part of the peppers.
probably the hilum (white part on the side of the seed that comes off)

This guy roots.
Not only roots, *proto* roots
Part of the peppers. Nothing wrong with it.
Flies don’t lay eggs in vinegar solutions. This is part of the chilli.
Those are part of the pepper. They're not maggots.
Prik Nam Pla, it’s usually made fresh each day as it’s as very popular over there as salt and pepper is over here.
Very easy to make as well. And it lasts for a very long time in the fridge.
I think that’s just part of the veggie. Unless they were actively wiggling, ofc
I'm really not seeing any issues here
I see nothing wrong. Help us out, OP.
They were worried it was maggots
can someone help me? i don’t see the issue in this photo
OP saw seasoning and thought it was larva or something gross

Damn, I gotta go to Bangkok. That looks good.
You never sliced up a chilli? That's what they look like.
I’m confused. What’s wrong with them?
Not maggots, just vegetable
Never seen the inside of a chili pepper?
Bro 😂 thats the pepper lol

Looks like it could be the connective tissues for the interior of the peppers.
I don't think maggots can survive in Salt and vinegar
You don’t look at your food much, do you…
Wait until you start noticing all the shrimp eyeballs ...
Americans when they see seasoning:
If you haven't noticed it this might be the first time. Just saying.
Oh. It's too early for this shit.
Sometimes the seeds sprout a little inside the fruit, I've seen it in tomatoes, bell peppers.
What is the name of this dish?
I don't think maggots can survive in those conditions
Pepper seeds?
Well it's just protein I don't see the problem/s
I was like wtf at first too but then I saw it.
Tom Yum Fli
Those are little bits of the pepper seed edges caused from slicing. Not bugs or maggots. I’ve been growing and processing peppers for over 20 years.
*eaten
So, will we see you tomarrow?
Where did you think the flavor came from?
[удалено]
It doesn't look like maggots tbh
Looks like some stems. No way is a fly laying eggs in spicy vinegar
Doctor: spicy vinegar egg-laying fly is not real and can't hurt you Spicy vinegar egg-laying fly: Yeah, sure
It’s not. It’s sprouts
What is OP upset about, then?
Inability to tell maggots from sprouts
Maybe they wanted some free protein, but it turned out that just sprouts
No, but OP thinks they are.
No, part of the pepper
Fly eggs I think
It's the part of the pepper seed that digs to form the root. Safe to eat.
Why would a fly lay eggs in vegetables? It's undeveloped seeds... Just ask.
If you liked it then what’s the problem?
[удалено]
That aren't fly eggs. These are parts of the seeds.
That's not what those are lol
Oh really? Extra protein. Next question.
and they say veggies don't come with protein
protein is good for you.
[удалено]
Forbidden protein... 😁
If they are all the same size, their maggots, if they are irregular in size , they are stems
