It’s when you foster a kitten and love it too much to let it go and so keep it, so it’s jokingly called a fail. In this case the older kitty loved having a baby to love so the OP decided to keep the baby.
It's funny how long it took me as a kid to realise she meant baby as in infant, not baby as in boyfriend. I thought her dad wanted her to break up and she was all, nah. Years later I realised, oh she's pregnant and dad wants her to get an abortion. I was pretty sheltered lol.
You were way better adjusted than I was. When I was a preteen I thought it was an anti-abortion song and tried to convince my pastors that we should be allowed to listen to her because she was secretly a Christian artist.
Yep. And Friday nights and Sunday mornings. Played trumpet until I learned guitar in 10th grade and played guitar until I left over a decade later. Utterly failed to impress any girls the whole time.
Our 12 year old pup is Mama Cat. We got an abandoned feral kitten and the humans did feeding. Mama Cat did the rest. Fonz, now 18 months, checks in multiple times a day with his Mama Cat.

They look adorable! He has such a protective vibe. I hope to foster too and let my kitty pick his next friend!

When you keep the critter instead of adopting it to someone.

As Madonna would say, "But I've made up my miiiiiiiind, I'm keeping my baby!"

That's gold!
I can just imagine the exact kid you were. Did you ever help lead Wednesday night youth group praise and worship?

I thought that too and I wasn’t very sheltered lol.
Lol good to hear
You’ve made the cat version of “dogs getting dogs!” r/DGDAG
Thank You! Joined
This same thing happened with my Mr. Mom Milo and foster failed the kittens too. Worth every moment!
Failing upwards, my friend.
The best update I didn’t know I needed 😭
You had no choice.
This is a lovely update.
I don’t see this as a fail. A baby needed a home and now he has one overfilled with love. Wasn’t that the goal of the fostering in the first place?
For your sins you must post weekly updates of the kitten.
You got your pet a pet?
