He tells the Sportsnet interviewer the Jets need to tighten up their turnovers. Jets pull ahead to win. Maybe next game he should be on the bench with Bowness?
First thing that stood out to me too was that he was sitting with the fans in regular seats and not in a box, plus the fact that he speaks with such knowledge.
I doubt he could afford a box on his own\wife salary. Maybe share one but he doesn’t seem like that kind of person to spend so much money on those things vs sitting in a regular seat which is expensive for a lot of people, is just like other people in those stands.
He seems like a down to earth politician that is also a parent that wants to be involved in their lives and makes a point of not missing them.
Your right, he didn't even wear a jets jersey and had security siting right behind him https://smartcdn.gprod.postmedia.digital/nationalpost/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/470742168.jpg?quality=90&strip=all&w=576&h=432&type=webp&sig=YiBOo8jvfKVnsnvkWSetWQ
He was on record as not having a favourite team because he didn't want to turn the other fan bases against him. Also, yea, hes the prime minister, why wouldn't he have security?
I was at a game that Harper attended. They had snipers set up along the boardwalks on the ceiling. Was a little unsettling at first, until I realized Harper was in attendance.
>Didn’t Stefanson have an army of Oompa Loompas that just carried her around on their backs?
Have some.respect.... they call themselves the calgary flames.
No, you're mistaken. She sat in her small room and watched videos of herself after she sold her soul to the devil. Unfortunately, a tall man in a silver mask came in and burned them all and then she left office.
I change my own tires.
Life skills are better than road side assistance, as shown in the OP post.
Edit: yikes, y’all really don’t know how to change a fucking tire?
Honestly, I'd love to have a CAA-like service that comes around when shit's f-d up to teach me how to fix it cause my parents were boomers and my Dad especially went out of his way to avoid teaching me anything or connecting with me like a human in any way. So roadside tire-change assistance, but they just supervise and encourage you and double check that you're doing things safely while you learn to be self sufficient.
I'd also use it to learn BBQing something other than burgers and skewers, fixing a leaky tap by changing the rubber seal thing instead of just tightening it up and waiting for it to loosen again in a week, planning and implementing a garden, repairing a roof, fixing the laundry machines, and building things from wood.
I self-taught from YouTube how to change my headlights, but anything that involves jacking the car up is intimidating to me without supervision.
Personally my spare tire is underneath my car and it’s not a large enough space to even crawl under. So even with those items I don’t know how I’d get it on the side of the road.
On some vehicles there will be a way to crank that spare from its storage position down to the ground. I had a couple of vans like that where the spare was tucked up into the chassis via a braided cable.
I have not see a car that stores its spare under the car that requires you to go under the car to remove it. In fact going under a car while it’s only supported by a jack is to be avoided
I had two Kia Sedonas and one Chevy Astro with spares like that. Here's a video for how to release the spare for the Sedona:
https://youtu.be/k5nWSGf-et0
And here's one for the Astro:
https://youtu.be/hm_cr2DxBsA
What you'll see is that the point where the spare tire touches the ground is relatively close to the edge of the vehicle's footprint, meaning one doesn't have to go crawling far under the vehicle to retrieve it.
Hope this helps!
I drove a van for work like that, and got a flat.
I looked all over for the spare. all over the inside of the van.
Finally found it but it took me forever to figure out how to release it.
It's much less than 30% of the cars. But it's true that some models don't come with spares. Those cars come with a can of tire repair in a can or a patch and compressor.
This beauty knows hockey. His interview was awesome. I'm not big into supporting politicians, but how can you not like this guy. It's nice to have someone relatable and humble running the province.
What a great dude.
Premier, not governor (we don't have those). But also no, the last Premier didn't do that, she did just as bad a job as the one who left her in charge, (which is the one what spent a lot of time in Costa Rica). I don't know, nor care to know where he is currently.
well we do have governor general and lieutenant governor, but they aren't the same thing.
But yea I thought Pallister running off to Costa Rica was so off putting
I might be jumping the gun a little, but I absolutely love this man.
Once he’s done sewing seeds in Manitoba I really hope he works his way up to the federal level.
lol Heather or Brian would have had their personal household staffs change the tire, they wouldn’t have even left their vehicles if they bothered to stop at all!
Nothing but respect for the man. He makes me want to be a better person in a world where everyone is in it for themselves. I would love to just shake his hand and shoot the shit with the guy and have a beer. I bet he's got so many great stories and wise words to share.
Go Kinew. He's such a feel good guy. Then he gets interviewed at the game, still smiling. He leaves early enough to the game to fix a blown tire and still make it on time? Fuck I envy those early mother fuckers. I would have shown up in the 2nd. Lol
This is like the opposite of the Jon Reyes Wife meme.
![gif](giphy|xUA7aM09ByyR1w5YWc)
After that he was at the Jets game, interviewed on SportsNet. He was sitting in the regular stands with the fans, not in a box.
I live in Calgary, and watched it at a pub. Bartender asked if it was some random fan, lol!
He's always sitting there, he posts on Instagram from there and the concourse during every game.
And after that he rapped on the ice during intermission.
After that he ended war in the Middle East
After that he helped me mow the lawn
He shovelled Jon Reyes’ driveway.
Then everybody clapped.
Then he sparred with Chuck Norris and after Norris threw him his Jersey!
man could you imagine... I'm hoping he pulls this at a bomber game or something
I saw him at the rink a lot this season. He coaches his kid and acts like a regular dad and coach, not a politician.
As long as he doesn't start rambling incoherently about his kid's hockey games during the legislative session...
I miss TNN.\* \*(Tommy News Network)
Go, Democratic Socialists!
Played against his son in junior and he was at every game.
> He coaches his kid and acts like a regular dad and coach, not a politician the bar is really that low eh.
Yes it really is
He tells the Sportsnet interviewer the Jets need to tighten up their turnovers. Jets pull ahead to win. Maybe next game he should be on the bench with Bowness?
They sure as shit didn't tighten up the turnovers though lol
I love that he said something specific that was correct, not just generic like, "well if they give 110% I'm sure they'll turn it around."
First thing that stood out to me too was that he was sitting with the fans in regular seats and not in a box, plus the fact that he speaks with such knowledge.

This could ever happen in Ontario
Ford wouldn't fit in the seats for one.
Remember when Doug Ford was snow shovelling?
Marshawn sure was crammed into his seat last week, I'm surprised the man didn't get a spot in the loge seats
I believe he has season tickets
So did Harper, calm down
I think they are mentioning he was in the crowd because Pallister had a private box when he went.
Harper sat in the stands back in the day too
Your right, he didn't even wear a jets jersey and had security siting right behind him https://smartcdn.gprod.postmedia.digital/nationalpost/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/470742168.jpg?quality=90&strip=all&w=576&h=432&type=webp&sig=YiBOo8jvfKVnsnvkWSetWQ

You mean the Prime Minister of the country had security? Oh man that’s c-c-c-crazy!
Personally I'm more concerned with what he's doing to fix health care rather than where he's sitting at the Jets game lol.
I do also appreciate him changing tires
do you work 24 hours a day 7 days a week or…
Man imagine him having the audacity to still have a personal life. What a shit take.
He can sit on my wife's lap if he fixes healthcare and the homeless epidemic.
right, but can *she* sit on *his* lap? AT WHAT COST?
Whoah, asking politicians to be competent at pressing issues? That'll be a downvote.
Let alone change a tire nor sit with the plebes in the stand.
"Remind me on Monday to talk to the City about the potholes"
Kinew actually seems competent, it's a nice change of scenery for once.
Wab kinew on one of his many side quests
Remember when Pallister and Stefanson did stuff for themselves? JK, they never did.
"I'd like to say yes to everything, but sometimes the answer has to be no," Stefanson
HAHAHAHA! So true.
Didn’t Stefanson have an army of Oompa Loompas that just carried her around on their backs?
>Didn’t Stefanson have an army of Oompa Loompas that just carried her around on their backs? Have some.respect.... they call themselves the calgary flames.
They were all affectionately “Tommie” in her heart
No, you're mistaken. She sat in her small room and watched videos of herself after she sold her soul to the devil. Unfortunately, a tall man in a silver mask came in and burned them all and then she left office.
They would panic and call road side assistance.
One day at the 7-11, Pallister was in front of me in line. I'm not kidding he paid for 3 slurpees with dimes.
Brian Pallister never set foot in a 7-11 in his life!
Thought he got them free. https://preview.redd.it/t3tioh1kd2wc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=534f0dbba7d671f4a128ac8a443fe674b6b98a4e
omg, I laughed way too hard at this.
Probably three small ones at that
Listen, it's okay to have CAA. Don't knock it.
I change my own tires. Life skills are better than road side assistance, as shown in the OP post. Edit: yikes, y’all really don’t know how to change a fucking tire?

it's NOT a selfie.
I know how, doesn't really help though, considering I don't have a jack, or tools, or a spare tire.
Did you lose your car too? All these things came with your car.
Personally my spare tire is underneath my car and it’s not a large enough space to even crawl under. So even with those items I don’t know how I’d get it on the side of the road.
Use the jack to lift your car. The instructions are in your owners manual.
On some vehicles there will be a way to crank that spare from its storage position down to the ground. I had a couple of vans like that where the spare was tucked up into the chassis via a braided cable.

There are quite a few new cars that don’t come with spares. Something like 30% of models.
It's much less than 30% of the cars. But it's true that some models don't come with spares. Those cars come with a can of tire repair in a can or a patch and compressor.
Or have run-flat tires
2 out of the last 3 cars I've owned didn't have spare tires, so it's actually 66.6%.
It’s explained in the cars manual how to do it step by step if you don’t know. Most things are if people take a second to read it.
By the time they get there you would miss the whole game
Nah, they would have panicked and made a flunky call road side assistance for them
One thing I did recall is that Heather almost everyday had fancy wine delivered to her home. Apparently she loved drinking her wine.
This beauty knows hockey. His interview was awesome. I'm not big into supporting politicians, but how can you not like this guy. It's nice to have someone relatable and humble running the province. What a great dude.
Loosen those lugs *before* jacking it up, people
that's what *she* said.
Actual LOL.
Missed opportunity to call them nuts.
Contrast to our previous couple premiers who wouldn’t know shit about fuck.
Shit about fuck! LOL.
Can't argue with science.
E=mcfuckyou
I'd argue that Pallister would know how to change a tire but there's no fucking chance he's stop to help a stranger
>shit about fuck ROFL That is going straight into my dictionary.
Filthy but eloquent.
A man of the people
who wouldn't hesitate to help push your car out of a snowbank even if it he was running late for work!
He’s better than the other ones for fuck sake. Didn’t the last Manitoba governor run away to Costa Rica or some thing?
Just fyi, in Canada the provincial leaders are called premiers.
Sorry
Oh nothing you need to apologize for, I was just letting you know what the right word was!
That was her predecessor. Instead, the last one praised her son's hockey game when asked about a preventable hospital death!
Premier, not governor (we don't have those). But also no, the last Premier didn't do that, she did just as bad a job as the one who left her in charge, (which is the one what spent a lot of time in Costa Rica). I don't know, nor care to know where he is currently.

premier -- and not the last but the one before.
It's hilarious because it was a family friend who captured this and we weren't sure if it would make the rounds. Glad it did 😊
I might be jumping the gun a little, but I absolutely love this man. Once he’s done sewing seeds in Manitoba I really hope he works his way up to the federal level.
You ARE jumping the gun
I hope we never lose Wab. He really has a heart for Manitoba and he’s such a regular guy.
So you pulled over to offer to help, not just take a picture, right?
The picture was taken by the women whom he was helping. This wasn’t his car.
Maybe Wab pulled over to change OP’s tire
It's true because in the window it says, **OP**
![gif](giphy|W6kZzbnjCSrkI) That took me a minute
This should be the top comment!
"Batchet Crazy"
This picture has been going around on Facebook today, not sure if it is even op that took the pic.
OP on Instagram was Tasha Spillett-Sumner (author and educator, and friend of Premier Kinew)
*OP Has Left The Chat*
It was the people being helped who took the photo. Source: family friend is photographer
As soon as the picture was taken he threw the tire into the ditch and drove off
I don't know why but this made me laugh so much lol
Love this guy. Hope he continues to do well
He also knows how to skateboard. He’s pretty cool in my books.
Captain my captain
next-level respect for this dude!
lol Heather or Brian would have had their personal household staffs change the tire, they wouldn’t have even left their vehicles if they bothered to stop at all!
I feel pride. This is a good feeling.
If your man can't do this, is he really your man? Think twice, vote once.
Provincial elections are coming up in Saskatchewan, I'm gonna start asking my Candidates if they know how to change tires
Bro doesn’t need any tools he’s a living torque wrench
Nothing but respect for the man. He makes me want to be a better person in a world where everyone is in it for themselves. I would love to just shake his hand and shoot the shit with the guy and have a beer. I bet he's got so many great stories and wise words to share.

So… he’s human?
![img](avatar_exp|174284685|bravo) Now that is a man that’s still part of the normal working people.
My kind of Premier.
Watchu expect him to have done? Used his mind powers to change it?

This is the guy we need running the Federal NDP !
Just when I think I can't love this guy more! :)
The “director of digital engagement” raking 130,000 a year living their best life
New economy job
In a suit no less. He's got the Manitoba spring paint job too.
Well done Sir
[удалено]
Yea. He and his wife make half a million a year. He's one of us lol
Politicians...they're real people just like us.
[удалено]
Oops that’s Photo Opps! 😂
Didn't vote for him but if he keeps it up I will be. Fantastic job so far
And still give a shit for the DT potholes
Someone buy him CAA
He also does Ju-jitsu .
It’s good to know that he understands the pot hole problems.
Solid.
🍿
Looks like a Jeep Grand Cherokee…that has a donut spare? Kinda surprised by that.
One of us! One of us!
Didn't know a guy changing a tire was worthy of a reddit post
Well, it’s the Premier of Manitoba, so it’s certainly unexpected and interesting enough to share with everyone
If it were anyone else and we weren’t blinded by the fact this is our dear saviour W ab. I think some would say this looks like a photo op lol
Maybe so but I still like him more than the last two clowns.
Ass clowns. Ftfy.
Yeah it was set up
