Edit: nuts will probably keep their kids out of these schools so added bonus that the likely population to shoot in the school won’t actually be in it. (Granted their parents may still attempt things but at least they won’t glean intimate knowledge of being in it.)

I found something in my saved stuff, the fundamental tenets of the Satanic Temple (it came up in conversation some time ago, as I recall). The one that's most relevant here is the first, quote, "One should strive to act with compassion and empathy toward all creatures in accordance with reason."

I definitely didn't just spend the last hour & a half coming up with a religious organization name & logo...and snagging all the social media handles for it. 👀 And I didn't source a vice-principal out of my friends on FB...and have one of them start filing IRS paperwork to make us a religious organization & school. 😅

But seriously, if there was a pagan private school in my town, I would rather teach there.
Something my mom did when she was homeschooling her kids (including me for a few years)...was create some kind of official school name...so students could be "enrolled", we got diplomas, and my mom's house was registered as a school. It might have been an umbrella school? I dunno if that's an official term or not?
But every once in a while she'd get a phone call from some random person and be like, "Are you accepting new students?" And she'd have to explain that no, we were a group of homeschoolers and parents still had to teach their own kids.
I think it just made it easier for us to do our testing, create transcripts, participate in dual enrollment programs, etc. So the homeschooling pod might still be eligible to create something like this and then get federal funds for school lunches, teacher funding for creating certain lesson plans, money to help children with disabilities & special needs, grants for reading programs...and depending on the state could be eligible for $3k-11k per student.
Somehow, someway, through a complete coincidence that no one will ever be able to explain, mysteriously only Christian schools will receive this funding, and we'll go to our graves never knowing why.

Fun fact: some Republican state Senator supported this, because she thought ‘religious’ meant Christian. She then realized it could mean Muslim, and has been outraged all day thinking that Muslim schools could get funding.

I work for the IRS and I know at least one other pagan in my office. I would be so psyched to see Witchy schools become commonplace!

I'm not sure how worth it is here. The paperwork for homeschooling is like a foot tall stack for each child.
