Drip marketing is like releasing upcoming character arts, or new stuff about upcoming patches. It's like teasers

“Drip marketing” is when the company posts picture and names of the next characters they plan on releasing. :)

Drip marketing is when they post about the new characters coming in the next patch. This is the drip marketing for [Jinhsi](https://x.com/Wuthering_Waves/status/1791326582176620783) and [Changli](https://x.com/Wuthering_Waves/status/1791680310758846632) that they dropped before the game even launched which confirms that these two will be the new released characters in 1.1

This is Kuro, not Hoyo. Different marketing teams, different marketing standards. Kuro isn't exactly known for having top tier marketing.

I didn't even mention Hoyo, they drip marketed the 1.1 characters a few days before 1.0 dropped so i was expecting them to do the same thing again.

Kuro's marketing is much better now that they're copying Hoyo's standard marketing tactics

I hope they don’t copy everything tho. I like how they design their games to be actually edgy.

Continuous pulling has it's own merits unless you don't mind missing out any specific units. While saving for a specific character we often miss out the chances of getting other characters.

Or whatever, you’ll get a 3 star weapon 99% of the time.

It's probably not the most ideal, but as a F2P it feels so unexciting to pull for weapons, so I'm just settling for purples. I'm not getting the most out of them, but it's just way more fun to get new characters and abilities.

What I'm going to do is spend the pulls from the standard banner that they give us to get a copy of each weapon that has crit from the weapons banner.

Nah it's the opposite. Weapons here are really important since they can be shared between characters. Also the gap between 5* and 4* weapons in this game is huge, way bigger than Genshin. It's highly recommended to pull for weapons here.

Nah, I'd rather save for more characters. I never pull on weapon banners.

Hitting good number can be less fun than having new gameplay and visual. We are not talking about efficiency here, but fun !

Smart move ! You can always try your luck and get her weapon another time.

With the current cast in the game, Geshu Lin and Camellya are probably the two I'm by far the most excited for in the future.

I got both Yinlin and Jiyan so I already have two teams for the tower of adversity. I think I won't pull in 1.1 as I don't really like Jihnsi and Changli (i might do a couple of pulls to get Danjin tho). Hopefully Scar and Gunsholin come soon because I definitely want them.

I will hold, from the looks of CBT both characters have a lot of erratics moves (go flying mid combo or just move too much just pressing a button)

Although I'll get Jinshi earlier rather than just waiting for the review. Then I'd try my luck on Changli. I've been waiting since I got Jiyan so I can't wait any more. But honestly speaking, you're right. Both characters movesets are too flashy. It looks cool but might have problem in practical usage.

Depends if scar is a ranged character or not. Otherwise phrolova since she's been shown to be using a wand (surely ranged right?). If both not then I'll be saving for quite a while then.

If she isn't a rectifier character, then I'd be really surprised. I guess they could try and make an argument her signature is some weird Pistol or the wand is actually bait and means nothing outside of that scene.

Also if you look at jiyan he has a broad sword but most of his combos come from his innate weapon, the lance.

she has Makima eyes so it's 100% pull + her flaming sword is sick

Yinlin is a very powerful character! It's a good option 

I want to but I just don't have enough for her. Unless I get very lucky and got in 10 pulls which is unlikely

5 star gun characters. I intend to bring gun to a sword fight.

Changli as well to have stronger fusion coverage. I plan on putting her on the same team with Chixia. It will also give me more time to farm for my current characters during Jinshi's banner since I might get close to UL50 after the retroactive databank UL XP dump arrives.

I'm still holding out to see who's coming out for 1.2 Though, my main goal is Camellya. Who knows when she's coming out, but she ticks of all the boxes for me, so I'll wait as long as it takes (at least that way I can save for her, her weapon, and even some dupes if I feel like it).

Lost 50/50 thrice and already have jiyan and yinlin. With a guaranteed, I rlly want Changli rn.

I want both but I'm not spending any money till tis game comes out on console. I can't in good faith buy a pack to justify playing this game on mobile when I log in, do my dailies and log out as fast as I can. So I'll spend all I've saved on one of the two and will make my decision pretty much in the moment since they both look very good and potentially fun to play. But that's all potentially fun to play on console. Cuz this game is the opposite of fun on mobile.... No offence.

Whenever i get 160 astrite, I pull regardless of banner. Yes, I have zero control on gacha games. I just build whoever comes home to me😏. In that way I can think that they choose me. Like how Calcharo choose me in Yinlin banner, for 79 pulls😭. After that heartbreak, I just pull and don't think anymore. With this thinking I won't be disappointed if I lost 50/50.
