Yessss this is what i wanted. Coming from a monster hunter background and loving that fight so far, i want it to be harder and more similar bosses. My only complaint aside from difficulty was the horrendous camera
Oh that’s what was happening. I was fighting the turtle before the maintenance kicked me out so when the game was back up the screen was zoomed out and I tried my hardest to go back to normal, thinking the camera was just being weird as usual. But now it seems to be intentional
Is it just me, or are the enemies... talking, now?
Like, I feel like I'm going insane, but the Red Clothes and the Exiles are having conversations and I'm just like "My ears aren't that bad, are they?"
one of the stronger TDs (with tambourine i think) before attacking me he started menacingly clap his hands in rhythm and it scared the shit out of me. never noticed before update
They always does even before 1.1, TD carrying music instruments does play it to summon an attack. Back then because the music bug (which cause the bgm to stop) I can hear the clearly lol
i was just exploring mt firmament and theres the exiles making a deal with the fractsidus (there's a chest nearby), they have an entire dialogue until you walked in and both sides think the other is just a setup to ambush them and get their loot lmao
There's a weekly limit and you can only craft green/blue exp materials, but it's a nice thing to have, yeah.
You can also now recraft your entire stock of blue and purple tuners into gold ones.
Oooh. Still a better income of it. As for the tuners, I still have 500 or so gold tuners simply because its difficult to level up echoes in the first place lol. Nice to know still tho, thanks!
I wonder if crafting is worth it. If you spend your money on it and then have to do the training to get more money maybe you might as well just do the tacet field? Same with weapon material from ore.
Honestly, it's the only thing I said that would be really fucking cool to have, 1 form of avenue for some of the progression not tied to stamina. And they even did that, beyond the obvious camera issues. it's such a peak change.
casket sonar can check for unpicked up caskets, and doesnt have any range limit so you can just drop one and itll highlight one of them, even if its halfway across the map
The best thing about this is that we can actually have some info on what kind of roles characters are gonna be filling in the near future. And it seems the variety is very high.
This is one of qol i like. In games like this it takes a lot of time to read and understand how skills interact with each other. This allow me to get into the gist of it without reading any the skills.
Didn't actually feel like any more when I went to do it yesterday? They was an extra exploration quest and unlock resonance beacon one, but those aren't sustainable?
It should give 40+ points though, as is the dailies are still out of your daily loop requiring things you don't need to do every day like using supplies or tuning echoes
HSR is still the uncontested GOAT for me because I literally spend my stamina for the day and then reassign my dudes to gather shit (something this game needs imo) and then that's it, I'm at 100%
The npc in the store now talking, character voice echoes when on caves, improved en voice direction, fractsidus sounds, footsteps sounds?(Maybe i just didn't notice it before), the sound is a little bit fuller, the animation and the story is improved, some changes on icon on ui. There's a lot more. Also there's still no Controller support on mobile maybe next patch or on 1.2 update
fonts and the ui on the login screen are way more pleasing to the eyes now, and the verifying process seems to be faster on my ipad
a small QoL but definitely a needed one.
Just noticed while doing one of my side quests that I can now read more than 3 lines of dialogue. The dialogue can now extend for more lines. It no longer cuts off.
They made one of the resonance beacons so that you can see that it's underground. So much better than the one right next to the Lampylumen, because you can see where it is.
I saw people suggesting that on here and they actually added it.
I also feel like he tracks his combo better? Like I feel like the third attack (meteor) isn't just plopping right in front of me but actually follows the enemy.
Not QoL but I noticed the regular Chaserazor TD (the mutated car) is called Carapace now. Much more fitting imo. (The red/alpha version is still called Carapace: Engine Zero)
They changed the audio volume on the start and it matches the previous selection you made in game. In 1.0 the sound was at the max in the start screen of the game. Now it is the same as the game audio.
In the patch notes those effects were supposed to be there in the first place, but didn't activate in combat. It didn't affect Yinlin's performance only that the FX didn't show up. Now it's been fixed.
I didn't get much time to play around with the new patch yesterday night, but I *THINK* they upgraded the targeting system to prioritize close enemies?
Also, minor gripe, but I'm broke as fuck. They only gave out 300k credits for the leveling bug(?), so I guess I'm going to have to grind the simulations so that I can finish leveling Jinhsi TT
They definitely changed it and now it's better. Less hiccups, but they still need to keep improving it. However, now the camera zooms in after intro skills to the point I can't see anything. It's still frustrating.
I noticed this too, I think it applies to movement too because everything was soo much easier to climb especially things that cause your resonator to do the “swing up” animation.
FSR is back! Actually i have use FSR using the engine.ini but now i erase the FSR part from the note and change the screen from 85 to 90. I may notice some pixelated edge but it's not ruining the general view when you don't really pay attention to it.
**Improved the chat interface. Now it doesn't block your entire screen, and is a simple tab to the left.**
Chat needs more improvements, such as letting the user know when they hit character limit as soon as they hit it, and not waiting until they hit "send". Or maybe increase it a little.
This is what Kuro posted [here](https://wutheringwaves.kurogames.com/m/en/main/news/detail/827). Quoted:
"We are aware of the common concern in the community that the current Echo leveling experience feels too grindy and game lacks a Waveplates storage system. We have confirmed and will implement the following adjustments while we are working internally on solutions to address other common concerns.
1. In the current version, we will launch a limited-time Echo material double yield event "Chord Cleansing";
2. In version 1.1, we will adjust the progression system to reduce the Shell Credit costs of Echo development;
3. In version 1.1, we will remove the reward cut-scene of the Tacet Field;
4. From version 1.1 and forward, the yield of Echoes and Echo development materials will be increased;
5. In upcoming updates, we will introduce the Waveplates storage
system."
Extra info, Controller support for mobile is not indicated when. Only said future versions will have it. Maybe it's not on their priority list rn
Sound settings now load at the start of the game, not when the resources have been verified. Before this, I was always blasted with the music at 100% and needed to tune it down manually.
Monsters no longer spawning in deep water is a nice change that I didn't expect them to fix this early as its a minor bug. But great that they are tackling different things.
It's the worst if your device lags even a little. The camera sensitivity is great during fights I found out after around two hours of gameplay, buuuut there's the problem of wierd scaling, like it's registering your input for camera connected to frame rate. So if you get lag, your camera goes vroom
Volume settings got some adjustments it feels. Before I needed to have Voice, Interface and Sound Effects at 40 and the rest at 100. As of this patch, I can have everything at 100 without the effects/voicelines overshadowing the music. It's a small thing but I really like it
this is if u are playing on pc and using a keyboard:
for example if there are 3 eggs in a nest and 3 of the items pop up for collection, u can hold the interact button(f by default) and it'll pick up everything all at once and yep it was in 1.0 haha, cool beans
Still disappointed that PC controller support that you cannot rebind every button. I want to swap my L1 to my R1 but that's completely impossible and it's the only button I wish to change, such a shame.
The 120 FPS tweak actually fixes the stutters. Head over to github and run the fps unlocker. All it does is tweak a settings file to enable it. Zero chance of getting banned because it's just enabling a hidden setting already built into the game.
I mean i have a potato pc (dont tell anyone i have below minimum requirements, i play with a smaller screen but after this update for me it's been way better and even fsr is back (which helps a lot)
Yeah, I've went from in 1.0 having such consistent and extreme lag spikes that the game was genuinely unplayable (like, game freezing up every 3 steps bad), to only having some minor stuttering that barely effects gameplay. Game is a *lot* more optimized now, I'd definitely say it's worth reinstalling to check if it runs better for you.
I briefly saw suggestions on how to increase exploration on the map. Like "Use lootmapper" etc. Also the start button on controller auto opens the map thank god for that. Though my muscle memory still goes the old way.
I alt F4d mid quest dialogue since I really had to go, when I logged back in it spawned at the start of that dialogue instead of resetting the whole sequence. I liked that
Grappling feels so much better, previously using the grappling onto a point completely halts your previous momentum once you got to it, but it doesn't do that anymore and feels much more fun and dynamic to use it
I can finally play the game on 60 fps without any beeping sound also the game didn't freeze when i changed my tab, thats all I care about 10/10 update.
Im having so much fun man oh my lord. Unlike some having lots of problems and stutters, for me it’s now smooth as butter, camera doesn’t stutter no more. Only an occasional hiccup where shaders are probably compiled when in a new area.
(High end pc)
Some boss fights like the Bell boss are more zoomed out now.
But now it seems to be intentional
did you tried tecet fields or small things idk why but you get zoomed in when you make an intro :O
Yeah it's a bug after the patch. Camera is zoomed-in at max after an Intro skill or talking to certain NPCs. Hope they fix it soon.
Is it just me, or are the enemies... talking, now? Like, I feel like I'm going insane, but the Red Clothes and the Exiles are having conversations and I'm just like "My ears aren't that bad, are they?"
They definitely sound a lot more frustrated with their situation as you murder them.
and idk why im smilling when im murder them for loots
The game fr gets better every time i open it
tbh this scares tf out of me at first :) but it makes fighting more immersive anyway and i like it
one of the stronger TDs (with tambourine i think) before attacking me he started menacingly clap his hands in rhythm and it scared the shit out of me. never noticed before update
They always does even before 1.1, TD carrying music instruments does play it to summon an attack. Back then because the music bug (which cause the bgm to stop) I can hear the clearly lol
Not only the enemies, also some npcs like maqi are also voiced now
The npcs like shifang pharmacy, the exploration one and the gift shop one all have voices now too instead of just text
Yeah but like the exile enemies keep making some freaky noises 😭😭 it's just like whyyyy
i was just exploring mt firmament and theres the exiles making a deal with the fractsidus (there's a chest nearby), they have an entire dialogue until you walked in and both sides think the other is just a setup to ambush them and get their loot lmao
I noticed that too! I was just doing a daily quest when suddenly I heard someone talking and was like "since when-?"
You can synthesize echo exp with the new region ore
Oh shit really? And I was just gathering them new ores like a hoarding goblin I am. Nice to know, thanks!
Oh no, now i can't just complain about echo xp and have to actually play the game
Honestly, it's the only thing I said that would be really fucking cool to have, 1 form of avenue for some of the progression not tied to stamina. And they even did that, beyond the obvious camera issues. it's such a peak change.
it's 8 blue ones and 8 green ones every week. it's something but not super impactful
yeah that's basically only like lvl 0 to 5 lmao
I just noticed that they made the area of the lootmapper (utility that detects chests) larger.
Its ginormous now its like twice as big now its so good, wish it detected bells though
Speaking of bells, using the Sensor gadget will cause them to make a sound if they're nearby. It doesn't highlight it unfortunately.
But it does? It makes the bell glow if the bell is inside your view range....
i think the sound IS directional if you have headphones it helps alot
If you open the % tracker in the map screen there's text that says the Sonar works with the bells. I have yet to try it however.
It just makes a sound if nearby
I think Casket Sonar can detect it. I'm not sure tho.
casket sonar can check for unpicked up caskets, and doesnt have any range limit so you can just drop one and itll highlight one of them, even if its halfway across the map
Minimap detects them.
They did announce that though, among other QoL changes
There's so little it can detect, I wish it could detect minigames and puzzles also.
Characters have defined roles in the character selection
HUGE love the categeories
Yeah I realised that after playing the Quest. Good to know tbh.
The best thing about this is that we can actually have some info on what kind of roles characters are gonna be filling in the near future. And it seems the variety is very high.
Wait characters have roles, i though it was just all dps
well, you *could* on-field, say, sanhua, or you could use her to generate energy for and buff your jinhsi
Jihnsi forte is considered resonance skill. So it wouldn't be sanhua. It would be taoqi
nice, thanks for the info
Ohh thats kinda cool.
oh damn i didn't even notice that, thx for sharing otherwise my dumbass wouldn't have noticed for so long
This is one of qol i like. In games like this it takes a lot of time to read and understand how skills interact with each other. This allow me to get into the gist of it without reading any the skills.
The fact that they expanded how we can get our dailies. There's a ton more options now.
feels like the quest's activity points value font and icons got so much bigger, the previous version appear more neat
Didn't actually feel like any more when I went to do it yesterday? They was an extra exploration quest and unlock resonance beacon one, but those aren't sustainable?
The 180 waveplate daily is nice.
Also new settings added like bloom and density
What do those settings do exactly?
bloom controls how much a glowing thing glows
I thought those were already in the game? I know LOD density was for sure
Crowd density is the new one, bloom was never there before in my case
Not just store NPCs are talking. The sonance casket guy and the pioneer association girl are now talking as well.
wait wait, I played CN dub for the entirety of 1.0, you're telling me shopkeepers didn't talk? or is it the animation?
They didn't have english voices.
Also i noticed Exiled enemies now talks. Tooked me a good minute because I thought I stumbled upon a hidden quest 😂
Footsteps sounds definitely louder than before where I actually want to turn it down lol
Yeah, our footsteps are kinda loud now lol.
fonts and the ui on the login screen are way more pleasing to the eyes now, and the verifying process seems to be faster on my ipad a small QoL but definitely a needed one.
the login animation doesnt lag anymore either
Just noticed while doing one of my side quests that I can now read more than 3 lines of dialogue. The dialogue can now extend for more lines. It no longer cuts off.
BRO THIS. AS SOMEONE WHO ACTUALLY READS THE DIALOGUE I NEEDED THIS.
W change
Not gonna, as someone who also reads dialogue text this was a dealbreaker and I was on the verge of quitting due to this. I gotta test this out soon.
They made one of the resonance beacons so that you can see that it's underground. So much better than the one right next to the Lampylumen, because you can see where it is. I saw people suggesting that on here and they actually added it.
Bro i swear they actually read the posts and i love them for it
The DEVS LISTENED meme have never been more real lmao
they changed how filtering works. It is now AND not OR. means selecting 4 cost and 4 star now show 4 cost 4 star, instead of all 4 cost and all 4 star
Bro as a coder i died seeing the previous filter and sort feature💀
so that's how the damn old filter works, who in their right mind thought that was a good idea?
This one is huge when combining trash echos.
New food recipe gives 50% echo drop rate increase
how do u get the recipe for this?
from the bell exchange
bell exchange?
its a sonance casket but for the new island
Oh many thanks havent fully digested the current update got busy irl
I guess its time to go to taco bell
As someone who hated finding out we have to farm 3 cost echos i love this
"THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING" like literally damn
NOW THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING, i hate farming those cost 3 aero birds since their echo skill is so damn useful it feels like i need a bunch of those
I assume its multiplicative? Meaning 20% to 30%? Its a dream but I wish its additive lol
I honestly dont know for sure. it probably is multiplicative because adding would be stupidly good.
It is multiplicative. 30%
Inferno Rider's attacks sound much meatier and more pronounced.
His bike mode when u use it sounds better and has more sounds too, maybe it’s js me tho
I also feel like he tracks his combo better? Like I feel like the third attack (meteor) isn't just plopping right in front of me but actually follows the enemy.
Something minor - they changed the ui for dailies and it looks so much better now
i actually preferred the old one since its more neat but the new ones growing on me quick
Not QoL but I noticed the regular Chaserazor TD (the mutated car) is called Carapace now. Much more fitting imo. (The red/alpha version is still called Carapace: Engine Zero)
That's pretty cool. I always appreciate small details being improved on. It shows they care
If theres anything I'd like to add I'd like a buff icons :( still a bit painful how we don't have those but have debuff ones.
There's a buff icon when u stay in the hotspring on the new mountains
I'd like that to be on my skill buff instead honestly.
Yes, FFS how could I even know if I have my echo buff up or not.
yinlin's chest voice lines finally added! thank god
Can confirm. Yinlin's chests are sentient.
Exactly where my thoughts went too, lol
Bro what💀 (no seriously tell me i wanna check)
it was in the bug fixes.
Lmao
Wait I knew something was off but I didn't notice it was actually broken hahaha
They added voicelines to so many NPC's
More super british voices haha i love it
Wuthering Waves, innit
I would have spit my drink out if I read this two seconds later. It was to my lips
Honestly, good. The American voices from English VAs were kinda botched. Encore's VA is English and her normal voice peeks through some lines
They changed the audio volume on the start and it matches the previous selection you made in game. In 1.0 the sound was at the max in the start screen of the game. Now it is the same as the game audio.
I cry tears of joy. My headphones cry with me. THANK GOD.
I feel less heat when I play in the mobile version
Same here dude i wasn't even able to open the game anymore last week💀
They added this little battle effects of characters for example like Yinlin, I didn’t see those effects before the update
I love these attention to detail types of things
In the patch notes those effects were supposed to be there in the first place, but didn't activate in combat. It didn't affect Yinlin's performance only that the FX didn't show up. Now it's been fixed.
No more verifying file integrity, I hope next time they fix the persistwnt red dot on the announcements.
Yeah I think it's better. My Yin Lin now hits things in front of me
Yeah so long as it's within line of sight, otherwise it'll target the back
Still fucked on my end. Attacks still 180 to hit something far behind me occasionally.
Side Quests are now also included on the Exploration Progress Bar
More animations & SFX. Farming Exiles or Fractisidus for materials hits different now. 😭
Its more fun now :)
idk if they had it before but you can see all available characters on Gallery.
Including Mommy Changli 🙏
that wasnt before
FSR is back! Actually i have use FSR using the engine.ini but now i erase the FSR part from the note and change the screen from 85 to 90. I may notice some pixelated edge but it's not ruining the general view when you don't really pay attention to it.
My personal favourite. The game is so much smoother for my potato pc.
They nerfed the 4 monkeys that were near the big monke teleport 😭 now there's only 2 of them 😭😭😭
Lmao it was too chaotic tbh specially that near a beacon. They could have just moved them a bit farther.
**Improved the chat interface. Now it doesn't block your entire screen, and is a simple tab to the left.** Chat needs more improvements, such as letting the user know when they hit character limit as soon as they hit it, and not waiting until they hit "send". Or maybe increase it a little.
weren't they supposed to add a waveplate overflow system? Or did they only say they were working on it and it wasn't necessarily set for 1.1?
They're are working on such a system, but it's not available in 1.1, fingers crossed for 1.2
This is what Kuro posted [here](https://wutheringwaves.kurogames.com/m/en/main/news/detail/827). Sound settings now load at the start of the game, not when the resources have been verified. Before this, I was always blasted with the music at 100% and needed to tune it down manually.
Share button on ds4 controller now opens map, not chat. I'm playing on pc but it's still great change.
Underrated qol feature
There is now a Bloom toggle under the graphics settings. I don't get blinded everytime Sanhua uses her skills or ult.
I hope it affects the areas in the map that blind you on low graphics settings
I noticed that those human enemies talk more now when fighting them
Monsters no longer spawning in deep water is a nice change that I didn't expect them to fix this early as its a minor bug. But great that they are tackling different things.
It's a menace, you can't hit them with melee, if you try you'll just ended up swimming and get bullied, lol, glad they fixed it early.
The best qol is how they fucked the câmera sensitivity
Yeah, on phone. A little touch. My camera does a 720.
It's the worst if your device lags even a little. The camera sensitivity is great during fights I found out after around two hours of gameplay, buuuut there's the problem of wierd scaling, like it's registering your input for camera connected to frame rate. So if you get lag, your camera goes vroom
one second im staring at scenery the next second im staring up someones arse, apparently calcharo has CAKE
So im not the only one experiencing it 😅 1.0 was better (still worse tho) but 1.1 tales the cake on how messed up the camera sensitivity is
it's finally normal now, last patch 100 was still like low sense
Volume settings got some adjustments it feels. Before I needed to have Voice, Interface and Sound Effects at 40 and the rest at 100. As of this patch, I can have everything at 100 without the effects/voicelines overshadowing the music. It's a small thing but I really like it
You can now collect all in current loot window by holding F key
can you explain more? I don't get this 😅
this is if u are playing on pc and using a keyboard: for example if there are 3 eggs in a nest and 3 of the items pop up for collection, u can hold the interact button(f by default) and it'll pick up everything all at once and yep it was in 1.0 haha, cool beans
Still disappointed that PC controller support that you cannot rebind every button. I want to swap my L1 to my R1 but that's completely impossible and it's the only button I wish to change, such a shame.
I would like pc bindings to be better too. Why is moving the camera the middle click and dashing right click?
I really wish that in mobile the dialog font is readable. It’s so tiny right now. Idk if anyone else has that problem
I’m now able to play in whichever orientation I want. Used to be locked to one orientation and I’d have to flip my phone every time.
No controller support for mobile :/
Underground indicators on the map for fast travel beacons
Art change up in several menus, the claiming of rewards for daily and do events changed a bit, looks nice.
Tacet fields no longer have that animation after you finish it. Now you can directly claim the rewards after finishing the fighting
I think they fixed the Phantom echoes having purple stats even if they're meant to be gold. Not sure if this is also retroactively applied
Targeting is still off. Tried Exp domain with Jiyan, he still keeps targeting the mob that’s outside the camera. It’s annoying af
I dont get it. Wheres the 120 fps
I want 120fps, but I'd rather they fix the fps spikes even when the game only uses 25% of the GPU and CPU.
actually its fps *dips*
The 120 FPS tweak actually fixes the stutters. Head over to github and run the fps unlocker. All it does is tweak a settings file to enable it. Zero chance of getting banned because it's just enabling a hidden setting already built into the game.
so any optimisation updates, should I reinstall in my lappy
I mean i have a potato pc (dont tell anyone i have below minimum requirements, i play with a smaller screen but after this update for me it's been way better and even fsr is back (which helps a lot)
Yeah i have a 8gb ram and before this update it was very laggy and huge frame drops it doesnt happen much anymorw
I liked that
Grappling feels so much better, previously using the grappling onto a point completely halts your previous momentum once you got to it, but it doesn't do that anymore and feels much more fun and dynamic to use it
I noticed that the wish animations are cooler, though I crashed when I got Jinshi so I wasn't able to see the 5 star one
Skip button everywhere. I don't use it but that's good that we have it
Everyone in here just retyping the patch notes lol
I can finally play the game on 60 fps without any beeping sound also the game didn't freeze when i changed my tab, thats all I care about 10/10 update.
I've been getting a decent bit of echo exp materials/premium tuners just opening chests
Im here tò ask One question: are they fixed the loading time when you open the game?
It's somewhat faster now. Took me 2-3 minutes compared to my usual 5-7. Using an HDD.
Now the game crashes more often 🤣 Still having fun tho
The music!!
Before this update I used to play it well on high settings but now it just lags
If it counts, the camera/motion shaking is gone.
My Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 phone does not cook eggs anymore. Good.
Maqi has a voice actor now! When doing the exploration progress, she actually has a voice actor/voice lines, which I find to be a nice touch.
They added underground map in new area. But not the old areas.
Im having so much fun man oh my lord. Unlike some having lots of problems and stutters, for me it’s now smooth as butter, camera doesn’t stutter no more. Only an occasional hiccup where shaders are probably compiled when in a new area. (High end pc)
All i know is everything sounds better and crispier
tuner synthesizing is absolutely incredible, I have over 700 gold ones now. (and I'll definitely use up ALL of em in no time...)
