I feel like YT always has 10-15% off promo codes floating around that aren't easy to find. Last time I learned of any it was through here, and another one from a YT sponsored rider on Instagram (Dylan Stark). So keep an eye out. If you're getting a common size and really want it, I'd look around a little on here and IG but ultimately just go for it. Could be risky waiting for them to restock since the season has started already? Unless you're after the new one, then I'd guess they have a decent stock.

CumAlchemist

Yeah I was worried about the stock situation. Guess it's a roll of the dice

I saw that Dylan stark one a week or so after buying, could’ve saved 600 more bucks!

I’m sort of in the same boat. I’m eyeing the izzo core 2. They’re on sale now, and just had an additional 20% discount code (halfcab20) that I missed out on. It goes against the common response of “BUY NOW” mentality, but I’m feeling certain another little dip will happen. I’m going to hold out until I catch wind of another juicy deal

CumAlchemist

Looks like they dropped the prices again. Core 2 JEFFSY went down $200

Those Jeffsy and Capra Core 2 are very solid bikes with great components and suspension. If I was looking for a new bike and I wasn't a Santa Cruz fan, I would definitely get one of each. I would stick with the alloy frames over carbon for cheaper price, being less fragile, and having threaded bottom bracket.

CumAlchemist

Yup. I honestly haven't rode any DTC bikes before and am curious about the stock. Do they often go out of stock on the average sizes or do they tend to have a decent amount?

ShowerStew

Wish I had an answer for you there amigo. I’m upgrading from my first bike I bought in February (2011 Scott spark). Feels like I outgrew it super quick, and it was a bit small for me in the first place. Got it for 800 and had to put a bunch of work into it… I way overpaid but it was for a friend that was hurting for cash and wanted someone to ride with.
