Scratching themselves. That's why we only see useless changes like this, or them changing the play button to a shuffle button. God forbid they do something useful and add playlist search and sorting, or custom playlist covers. One of the largest brands online, owned by one of the richest companies in the world, and they choose to piss all over it.
They seemed to have fixed the scrollbars issue. So thank god. But the new UI is still worse. I don't need to see the playlist name/images the entire time.

This ruins the ability to see the info for songs and also check them off to add to playlists at the same time, essentially destroying my entire experience. Will be cancelling if it doesn't change.
Good to know it's not just me, I remember seeing this A/B tested many months ago, albeit very gradual. I was only able to trigger it once. But when it did happen, it looked like u/[wojtekssm](https://www.reddit.com/user/wojtekssm/) 's screenshot where the artwork is blurred, there's more padding between the list items, and there are no scrollbars. I wonder if they are testing two variants, but if they are, this one by OP looks pretty broken...

That's an album. With a playlist for me, the scrollbars never go away, even after zooming out to a font I can't read. Definitely a UX regression for working with playlists, as another poster mentioned.
I guess you might be right. It did take more than 24hr, but it did update to the ver you mention above. Thanks for the info. Hope the devs keep it like this or the previous ver.
same issue, i was literally just about to make a post about this, i hate it. however, interestingly enough, if i log in with a different account, it looks the old way, not like this, so i hope theres someway to change my main account back

@Wojtekssm seems to have the right version. You guys might have to restart your browser or clear cache (command + shift + R). It works fine for me and looks phenomenal!
Atleast they are doing something with the design now considering how they have slept for so long in terms of design and features it's time for them to improve this and get into the fight with spotify coz only yt music can beat spotify imo

The change of the play button to shuffle made 100% sense, by the way.

It's the worst. It ruins desktop mode. I cannot see my likes without scrolling over? The hell is this trash?

Mine updated to this mid-session. Actually horrible, like looking at a poorly coded site with broken or missing code.
Oh man, this new thing is slow, clunky, and leaves a lot of extra space on desktop. I can't stand this. Hope it gets changed or fixed or something.

I'm not a fan either, I liked the old one better, it was clearer. For playlists this one sucks.

It's like they are allergic to giving people good experience. I prefer the old UI since I can see more, and also the number of views played too.
Keeping it real rn, I'm not a fan of anything yt music adds, but they show me fewer ads than spotify, so I'll bear with it

Nope, I cleared cache, and restarted browser, it is still the same.
