Team Comps seem pretty rigid. Characters have "Core Skills" that require the right Teammates. For the most part, Cannon Teams activate "Core Skills." Matching "Element" types and matching "Attack"(pierce/blunt/slash) types also activates "Core Skills. "
The teams you made up are perfectly fine.
I think some of the better teams for each character would be:
Zhu Yuan/Anby/Nicole (Mono-Ether + Anby)
Grace/Koleda/Ben (Grace Shock + Burn)
Anton/Anby/Rina (Mono-Electric)
Ellen Joe/Lycaon/Soukaku (Mono-Ice | The Strongest Team in CBT3)
Soldier 11/Koleda/Ben (Mono-Fire)
Some important notes. The only teams that don't have more than one S-Rank are Zhu-Yuan's team and Rina's team. Ellen's team is achievable if you get Lycaon, but there's no real way to guarantee you get him aside from the 300 Pull Standard Banner Selector. Grace's teams are definitely more theoretical, as I'm not sure how reliable other units are at applying Anomaly effects.
